On the beachfront, La Vita é Bella is just a 15-minute drive from the Mayan Ruins of Tulum. It features a restaurant with free Wi-Fi and a beach club with Balinese beds, hammocks and beach chairs.
Score from 108 reviews Very good
We loved the place , howeverer the kitchen was not spotless and we we not able to cook any food as the pans were not usable. Appreciated the free bottle of wine and the coffe and tea available alla day. The apartment was very big .
Fabulous clean, air-conditioned suite for a really good price. Terrifically helpful staff and great to have bikes to borrow.
Slightly out of the centre of Tulum
Spacious very luxurious room. More an apartment. Perfect WiFi Small but sufficient swimming pool. Very helpful staff. Bicycles for Free Airco.
Is not in the beach area, however they have bicycles for free. No breakfast served, but many facilities in the direct environment
Clean modern spacious! Great place to hang out in when you're not out at the beach.. Staff were so friendly and helpful..
The only thing I can fault was the bed was a tiny bit hard. But in saying that, I love super soft beds so I'm sure others would enjoy the firmness.
The Location (Truly the most convenient location in Tulum) The Supermarket down the street The Kirchen The refrigerator the rooms and balconies The perfectly clean facility and pool the free bikes The air-conditioning The incredible staff... Hernan and Domingo are "gems"! Truly helpful, joyful and knowledgeable men!. The Collective Bus right on the corner The ruins walking distance (but why you have free bikes) And the best beach in Tulum right there (El Paraiso) Easy access the Xel-Ha, Akumal, Playa, all the Cenotes, the best beaches, the city center and supermarkets If you stay on the beach at Casa Violeta or Punto Pedro, be prepared to feel disconnected from many activities and be prepared to spend loads on taxis. If you stay part time in town at the Palms and part time on the beach (like we did) stay here and at Papaya Playa Project which is more central to all activities. There is nothing like an informed and helpful staff who will work tirelessly to assist and please you in/on your vacation, when you are in another country. This is the place to stay …..All Day!
The hotel is located super close to the main road from Playa del Carmen.. Very very clean and feels like new.. You can take a bike for free from the hotel and drive for 5(!) minutes to the 'Maya' resort and to the beach..
The internet is kind of slow..:/
Pleasant atmosphere easy access to down town and the beach. excellent wi-fi cable no elevator, but easy wide steps to the room. easy access to a large market. nice kitchen availability of fresh water and coffee from the office daily. shaded parking
Bed was typical to Mexico in that it was a very firm box spring with a pad. More padding would have been nice. The furniture required the use of one of the couch pillows for any but very brief sitting
Very clean apartment with everything what you need, perfect design, cute furniture, fast internet, good stuff..W love it! Will definitely come back and recommend to everybody.
Everything was perfect. Thanks
Amazing apartments, excellent location and staff were very courteous. We travelled around mexico for a month and I would say overall this was the best hotel we stayed in. The location is ideal should you want to be close to the town but yet still within reach by bicycle to the beaches.
Nothing. Everything was great. Maybe just a big pool.
This is an excellent hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Don't be put off by the location on the edge of town because there is a deal with a local beach club and the beach and bathing is just out of this world! Intend coming back for another stay in the near future and The Palms has all that we need!
Initially had difficulty finding the Palms as it is not well sign posted, which after a long tiring day was annoying, however once there we soon relaxed.
Very friendly staff. The room are very clean and in good conditions. Just 5 minutes walk to the next bank and the centre of Tulum. Even it is close to the main street, the hotel is quiete and has an relaxing atmosphere.
Great Quality for the Money Excellent Quality WiFi Accomodating Internal Setting
Couldn't find an iron, but I didn't notify the front desk either.
The room was perfect, clean and we had lots of space. The kitchen was a priority for us because of dietary issues. We were able to shop close by and cook most of our meals to our needs. free bikes for the day was also a huge help.
The location was nice but I actually didn't like the town of Tulum.
Nice clean modern rooms, loved the small touches, like dressing gowns and slippers and bottle of wine on arrival. Beautiful reception and pool area, (although not enough loungers around pool)
Everything was genuinely great!
We spent two weeks travelling around the Yucatan and this was the best hotel by far. The staff were wonderful, the rooms huge and comfy, the free bikes were great for getting to the ruins and the beach and there's a large Mexican hyper-market very close by (an experience in itself!) where we were able to buy some local foods to cook ourselves in the fully equipped kitchen. The kids loved it! Next time I would come and stay here longer as there's lots of activities to do nearby.
We had a very spacious Deluxe Master Suite with Kitchenette. WiFi and AC very efficient and worked promptly. Clean and nice suite with TV in both living and bedrooms. Free bicycles and friendly staff.
The pool was small and in shade most of the day.
Friendly and helpfull staff but keeping distance as well. Very good quality of materials used. Beach and ruins easy to reach on bikes from the hotel. Restaurants within walking distance.
Palms Tulum Luxury Hotel is truly a very pleasant hotel to stay. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the staff is really helpful. The free bikes were great and it's a nice bike ride to the beach. The hotel is situated close to all the shops and restaurants. We have absolutely no bad comments about this place. We highly recommend this hotel.
Everything about this hotel was amazing. The staff were absolutely lovely, the place is gorgeous, spacious, modern and clean, the location is fantastic, close enough to the main beach areas and other local areas. It was such a beautiful place! I will be back again soon!
Absolutely nothing! It was perfect!
The Hotel was just blocks from local restaurants and the staff made some great recommendations for places to try. The bicycles were perfect for getting away to the beach and the Tulum ruins - we enjoyed the scenery and ease of exploring with the bikes.
There are a couple details that I would want to make sure people are prepared for first: the hotel is small and not well known. So when ever we spoke to taxi's or other transportation they did not know where "Palms Tulum" was. The Hotel is easy to find - one block off the main intersection of Tulum but that isn't much of a help when you fly into Cancun and no one knows where your hotel is. Second: the hotel has three floors and no elevator. This was not a problem for us, but I thought of my mom who can't navigate stairs well and no elevator would have been a huge problem for her - FYI.
Staff were excellent
The smell of the automatic air freshener
Great room and facility. Close to everything in Tulum we wanted to see.
Our room smelled of cleaning product each evening when we returned. Suggest some type of room air cleaner/sent to alleviate the odor. We purchase one and it worked very well.
-attention of the staff was very polite and every detail is looked after. -very clean, new facilities, large rooms, private and quiet location.
-food options in the hotel are not available.
Big comfortable apartment, and good for using bikes. We cycled to the ruins on a good cycle path - 10 mins, and to the beach a good cycle path for most of the way and then on road, about 20 mins. It was easy to get to a good choice of restaurants, and plenty of shops. The gift artesan shops were fairly priced. I got a bit worried when we arrived as it is close to the big crossroads, but it was set back a little on a near side road. We were OK wlaking to restaurants, although some folk might find the first block a bit odd as you are right next to the road on unpaved sidewalk.
It was at the more expensive end of our Yucatan tour, but I think it was fair for that area. You definitely get value in space and comfort.
