The restaurant was not too bad with pleasant service. Room was clean but the box spring for the bed looked old and well used. Wi-fi complimentary though intermittent.
Don't mind if I am not paying too much (the cardboard at a London train station comes to mind) but this was the most money spent in a hotel for the highest degree of discomfort (1250 pesos.)The room had no windows. It was a sauna without the ac and freezing with (no controls.) Spent the night wrapped in the towels as there were no blankets. Finally able to sleep only to be wakened soon after by the din of breakfast being served in the courtyard below. Would have been tolerable if it didn't cost so much. Moved to another hotel that cost twice as much but was much more comfortable.
She remains a classic, albeit the luster is a little duller than in her glory days. She is still real and mostly old Mexico.
Too bad the front is now occupied by an Oxxo store. Also a few chairs on the veranda would be nice, as would be wash cloths un the rooms.
Friendly front desk staff and good maid service.
We were appalled with the experience we had in the attached restaurant Los Candales. A wrong meal was served and wine was incorrectly priced. No apologies from the staff.
