Hotel Dolores Alba Merida    

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Pool is nice and clean and can be used until 10 pm (towels provided by the reception). Location is close to the centre.

Breakfast is not really good.

The pool and the premium room were very nice. Close-ish to centre of town.

The breakfast is the most horrible we have ever had. They don't care about their guests if they offer rubbish as this. It spoiled our visit to the hotel and we brought in our own breakfast on day two.

The hotel had great features: pool, free internet, laundry room. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The bed covers were pretty old. The shower pressure was almost non-existent. The sink was very poorly designed and it was hard to use.

Very central location and made us welcome even though we arrived after midnight. Possible to park car. Clean and good air conditioning.

Swimming pool was being cleaned so we couldn't use it.

Near the historic center where you can enjoy a touch of history (able to walk there, but just one block too far to really be in the vivid part). Rooms are very spacious and clean. Breakfast is ok but quite simple, nothing special. Very friendly staff that speaks English very well. Parking lot is definitely a bonus (free and totally private and thus very safe to leave your car).

It was very nice to have a pool. The location was good for seeing things in the city. I liked having the breakfast included.

It is really like 2 completely different hotels. The old section (where I stayed) is like a 2 star hotel and then new part (where a friend stayed) was like a 3+ star. The size, brightness, and quality of the room was completely different. I think this needs to be more clear.

the hotel has its own style, different from any other hotels we stayed in Mexico; I liked it very much; room was big enough for 4 persons; kids loved the pool; staff was very nice and helpfull; location close to the city center

Good value and in a good location close to Centro.

- Not getting our wake up call. Thankfully they called the room to say that the cab was there. - cold breakfast and hardly any food available.

Very typical, colonial, private parking, Romantic, swimming pool, very well situated nothing to say, I recommend this place.

Perfect place for one night before we flew out early the next morning. Basic but clean. The pool looked nice but small. Lcose to downtown. English-speaking receptionist

An unappealing front door opened into a delightful hotel with a large inner court, with swimming pool, well suited for relaxing in a busy city. Rooms were a good size and a very good breakfast included makes this excellent value.

Not a major negative but a very busy, four long block road between the hotel and the downtown activity required careful attention to both pedestrians and road traffic.

Merida was our first destination, and this was our first trip to the peninsula. We were not prepared for how run-down and chaotic the city would be. Driving a rental car around, trying to find our hotel and then the parking lot was very confusing and a little bit scary at first. Then we entered the courtyard for the hotel, and found a peaceful oasis inside. The hotel is very open and light, and our room looked right out onto the pool through one-way glass. The Dolores Alba is charming and comfortable. The breakfast is cafeteria style, and satisfying.

The restaurant food, while very cheap, is also absolutely awful. My daughter couldn't even eat the french fries. And it is closed on Sundays, so plan ahead.

Located close to historic center.. Nice friendly atmosphere with all rooms facing the outside pool....also breakfast is included which saves time and money....reception is always helpful. Also the ability to use their laundromat is a big plus if one is touring...they also have a sister hotel of the same name at Chichen Itza.

As this was good value for money I cannot complain about anything....I Would stay there again and recommend this hotel to friends..

the noise was so bad from the bar next to the hotel, could not get different room. That made the trip bad.

Good location not far from Cathedral, but quite diffucult to find without knowing the city.

Food completely tasteless. Were not able to get breakfast on the day of departure because of earlier departure and manager was too impolite and refused to prepare some breakfast (juice, fruits, bread wasasked) an evening before. Very disapointed!

Pleasant surprise from understated exterior,lovely lobby,oasis pool area. Comfortable beds.Good breakfast.

Pool could do with a little TLC.

Excellent for the value, great breakfast and the location is only 2 blocks to "downtown" where all the stores, etc. are. A lovely courtyard and pool to spend your afternoon siestas when the heat can be unbearable. Rooms are alol air conditioned.

Location to downtown and airport

Asked staff in evening to order taxi for 5am to the airport. Then at 455 came down and guy said he just called the taxi and they would be 10 pr 15 minutes late is that okay. We get nervous with 10 or15 minytes late as that coul mean 20 or 26. He didn't offer to call another company so we hailed a cab outside.

poor location - 3-4 blocks on the wrong side of the main square. no restaurants nearby. Needed to walk 5 blocks just to get to restaurant area. Area of hotel is run down and commercial. Pool is not heated and is so cold that no one uses it. two of the women at the front desk not very friendly. The young woman at front desk was friendly

My wife and I have stayed at Delores Alba on vacation the past 4 years. We like the location, friendly staff, and how clean they keep it.

Sometimes the area can be noisy at night.
