An outdoor pool and modern gym are offered at this elegant hotel, set in a restored colonial mansion in central Mérida. Each air-conditioned room offers LCD cable TV and a minibar.
Score from 52 reviews Very good
Featuring 2 on-site restaurants and an outdoor pool located on the third floor, this Hyatt Regency hotel stands less than 3 km from the Merida city center.
Score from 86 reviews Excellent
Musty smell due to lack of cleaning of wardrobre, doors, etc.
Room design and distribution.
Water heating system takes more than quiet long time to deliver hot water, too much water could be wasted!
The staff was very helpful and the room was a nice size and very comfortable.
The walk to our room was quite long with luggage
Very quiet hotel with an English-speaking staff. Broad breakfast menu. 20 min walk to the downtown. Room was spacious and clean.
The first rom we were given had two beds instead of one king size. The second room awas overlooking a dead wall - literally, the wall was just in 30 sm from the window. We refused to take this room s well and only then was shown another one - a perfect oneon the third floor, facing the inner yard with a swimming pool. But there are plenty of rooms in these hotel which are facing the walls of the neighbor building. They have put some flowers on these walls but unless you are a zen practitioner and want to spend you vacation sitting in front of a white wall, specify the room you want when booking it. And be sure they promise you this room.
there was nothing I disliked. The location is some distance from the city centre but staff were helpful in finding transport
The five star package and maybe we were very lucky but at the price we paid it was a steal.
Decent sized beds. Neat rooma, actual bath tubs
No hot tub
Nice hotel, good attention, good location.
Parking spaces are limited to a few cars, when coming back late it may be necessary to park on the adjacent street.
Great service. Friendly staff. Restaurant great food. Good location. Spacious rooms.nice pool. Nice bar.
It feels like a boutique hotel, without being one. Staff are friendly The mansion is beautiful
The restaurant service is too slow and not consistent
Location and size of the hotel. Good restaurant. warm and friendly staff and a cozy place wit modern facilities
coffe and water on the room very small amount and the electricity to plug it in uncomfortable
the staff was excellent - very helpful, very friendly - for the most part, quiet neighborhood, beautiful building, 24 h room service, excellent wi-fi, (french) balcony, pleasant room, comfortable bed
different price for same orders on different days (it was just 20 pesos, no biggie, i didn't study receipts, just was odd and wouldn't expect it in such a hotel), what bothered me more (and unfortunately it happened in different hotels as well) is the fact that when having a do not disturb sign, receptionist (?) would still call towards end of service time and ask whether i want service. regardless, it was a pleasant stay and would return anytime.
The building is BEAUTIFUL! Staff are friendly, location is good, but value for money is extraordinary
The phone line was faulty. Kept ringing, so I had to unhook it
Stayed in a King Room, has very comfortable beds and complete set of amenities. Restaurant is also quite good.
Wonderful staff. Ridiculously clean and tidy room. High quality toiletries. Very comfortable bed.
Weekend partying at the pool...until around 4:00am. Not fun.
I didn't like the way which breakfast is served. It is not buffet style, so you need to request and wait for the food. Also we are unable to make international phone calls from the room. You need to use wifi or go to the reception to complete a international phone call.
Well located, the area has many formerly grand homes built when sisal made fortunes in Merdida. Many are now in disrepair, but it makes for an interesting area.
Large bed. Very nice bathroom. Location.
Great hotel. Great staff. Great rates. I can't speak highly enough of the place. It's just down the street from the Hyatt, the intercontintal, and all the other big hotels. We loved Merida and our stay here made it all that more enjoyable.
Only drawback is that it's not near the old center. But then again, none of the good hotels are. For the value you are getting its worth the cab ride over to the center when you want to go there.
