Staff, clean, quiet, very helpful... We forgot our passports in the lock box and the hotel manager sent our things to the airport in a taxi for us.

Bathrooms need updating

- Beautiful patio - close to the beach (8 minutes walk) in quiet area (no night clubs nearby) - rooms simple but clean and nice - friendly staff

- Rooms might by decorated in more lively colors

Loved the staff and the location - we preferred not to stay too close to 5th avenue, everything was a walk away.

Unfortunately the wi fi drops in and out constantly, this could possibly be an issue with the area itself (if you sit in the lobby you get a better reception). The beds were also very hard and uncomfortable.

Their pet terrapins were cute and coffee was constantly available in the reception area. This was particularly welcome each morning! And though the swimming pool was small, it was wonderful to use it and cool off.

There was nothing to dislike.

The incredible value we got in terms of price was really important to us. More importantly, being about five blocks from the main tourist street meant that we saw more of the real Playa Del Carmen and that we found places to visit that were both cheaper and better.

The kitchenette was nice, but it wasn't up to the task of preparing a serious meal easily. A real cooking knife would be appreciated.

We felt very relaxed and enjoyed our stay. The air conditioner was a blessing. In July, this time of the year is extremelly hotter than what we are used to. I missed a microwave to heat up food. The fridge size was great! The proximity of other services were comfortably close.

A bit on the economy side of hotel accomodations. Perhaps some of that is just Mexico........this has been my only stay (10 nights) experience so far. For the money, it is entirely adequate.

El Acuario Hotel is a really cute place. There are many hotels around El Acuario, I peaked inside and compared them and was so happy that we booked there. It's so well taken care of and the pool is always so nice and clean!

The staff are sweet and helpful but something that my husband and I did not appreciate was the mornings that we sleeped in, the cleaning ladie would open the room door withouth knocking first. The hotel does not have "do not disturb" signs, we are very undersanding people and know that this may not have been their fault but other methods could have been used such as knocking before opening the door. Other than that the hotel is comfy, cute, well kept. There are other hotels in the block and El Acuario is by far one of the best looking, cute ones around!!

The staff is very friendly, plus it is so close to the beach without being on the busy area, so it was nice and quiet. The room was also super clean.

Great location (close to beach and colectivos) and friendly staff. The hotel was excellent value for money compared to other hotels in Playa.

Bom custo beneficio, porém você tem saber que é uma pousada, com bom preço, porém sem muito conforto. Tem frigobar, pia e fogão elétrico. Está a 4 quadras da 5 avenida e a 5 da praia em um trecho que não é dos melhores da região. Me senti seguro ao andar a pé pelas ruas da região.

Silenzioso, pulito, coloratissimo. La stanza molto ampia con possibilità, per chi vuole, di mangiare e cucinare. Tutte le camere hanno un balconcino panoramico sulla piscina dell'hotel che si può utilizzare tutto il giorno e anche la notte. Il centro di Playa del Carmen si raggiunge in 5 minuti a piedi. Intorno all'hotel ci sono molti ristorantini tipici messicani dove si mangia benissimo e si spende il giusto, al contrario della 5° avenida. Hotel che consiglio a tutti, un piccolo paradiso in centro.

Petit hotel de charme très agréable pour passer un excellent séjour à Playa del carmen. Le personnel était très sympathique et très disponible. Les chambres sont vraiment très bien aménagées avec ventilation / climatisation et tout l'équipement pour faire sa propre cuisine est disponible. La piscine est très agréable. Très proche de la plage, des magasins, des restaurants excellents et très bon marchés sont également à proximité.

lo que deberian especificar es que es para no fumadores, no como ofrecen, diciendo que lo es y no lo es !!!!!!, deberia especificarlo , porque de esa manera no lo contrataría , y no se llevarían la sorpresa cuando ya han pagado por el servicio !

Personalen var mycket vänliga och tillmötesgående. Dock kunde inte städpersonalen prata engelska vilket försvårade ibland kommunikationen. Rummet hade en stor kyl med frysfack, liten diskhorn, porslin, kastrull och bestick samt en liten spis med två plattor. Varje rum har varsin altan med hammock. Mysig innegård.

Det fanns inget duschmunstycke i duschen. Rummen hade behövt fixas med lite ny inredning för att få ett lyft.

Ce petit hotel est charmant. Avec ses 12 chambres, c'est un endroit calme et la decoration est tres jolie. Nous avons eu acces a tout ce dont nous avions besoin: plaque chauffante, frigo, vaisselle et tout pour faire la cuisine. Confortable aussi grace a l'air climatise et un ventilateur.

Il y a eu de breves coupures d'eau.

Me encanto el lugar, excelente trato, muy cordiales todos. la limpieza excelente, todo muy en orden, y todo es exactamente como en las fotos. Excelente lugar para pasar unos dias de vacaciones, es muy acogedor. Lo Recomiendo con toda confianza y seguridad.
