Central located great view of guanajuato would stay again n again
The layout of this multi-storied hotel is architectural genius. The artwork and decor is captivating. Top notch staff is at the ready to meet any needs or requests you may have. We would return to stay at this hotel if we ever get the chance to visit Guanajuato again.
The facility has been well maintained and is a treat to behold. Room size ample, good hot water, outstanding location.
Check in procedure was bizarre. They required a print out of our Bookings confirmation which we did not know in advance. It took about a half hour to sort out the mess, but all ended well.
Warm welcome, very clean , heater in the closet for our cool night,
Too many step for. My arthritic knees
A super staff. This building is built into the side of a rocky hillside. We had breakfast in a courtyard that was unique. Loved my short time there. Great location. Just off the main Jardine. They made our Taxi arrangement for the airport and he was wonderful as well. Wished we had stayed longer.
Lots of steps but that comes with historical buildings.
Top floor room was nice with view of town Enjoyed the roof top terrace. Interesting laid out hotel. Good location in town.
Lots of steps, but we knew that in advance.
Very authentic colonial atmosphere.
WiFi only works in main reception area.
This place is located exactly 3 blocks away the local market, 2 blocks from the most beautiful university and really close to the beautiful, amazing and gorgeous Juarez theater. Beauty and culture.....in every single corner!
You really need to work in order to get a taxi, there are not enough and i was travelling with a baby, so really nice to walk around, but not all the time.
Location was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. Staff was very helpful.
Room was in a good condition; bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of food (omlette, fruits, pancakes, muesli). Location was good and city center easy to reach by walking.
On the first day the staff didn't tell us that they have an agreement with a cheap parking lot. On the second day they did tell us after we had to take an expensive public parking lot (1 day: $300 MXN = 20 €). No apology from the staff or what so ever! Highly disappointed of the hotel service
We are senior travelers and it took a couple of days to get used to the 3rd floor climb. It was a convenient location to everything we wanted to see and do. The wait staff at breakfast was outstanding.
The rooms were equipped with a kitchenette that was useless. Breakfast was not included.
Excellent service at restaurant. Charming hotel, quiet, clean, close enough to everything but far enough from the noisy avenue.
Not familiar with Guanajuato we didn't realize there are no elevators and all rooms are in high floors. Front desk service mixed, male clerks were great, one of the females was cold and dismissive.
El Meson de Los Poetas was a wonderful hotel to stay in while attending 10 days of the Cervantino
Breakfast buffet, atmosphere, and location.
missing a refrigerator that other rooms had.
We liked everything about it. Location was perfect. Everything was just a couple of blocks away. The staff was great.
The location was excellent!
The cleanliness , The good bed and the housekeeping staff.
Despite advertising their was no wifi access in the room. The front desk staff, although polite, face minimal assistance. For instance they forget my wake-up call. Besides breakfast there were no other services. I couldn't even get ice.
breakfast was very good and the servers out thi world.
parking is not that good at all.
Beautiful (!) hotel; very convenient; very helpful staff
A little noisy in the evening (until midnight or so, after that was fine)
everthing except no wifi in my room.. asked them twice to fix it but didnt.
The location was fantastic. We had their breakfast both days and was very good. We also had their staff set up a tour guide and they did an excellent job. Check out the wonderful coffee shop next door.
Some city noise with bells and a dog barking the first night but we closed the window the second night and it was not an issue.
The room was extremely cosy and very comfortable, the walls painted in nice colours with a wooden ceiling. It had a nice, antique but still creative flair. The staff was friendly, at the reception desk as well as at breaksfast. The breakfast hall itself is situated in an amazing patio.
There was not anything really negative, the bathroom was a bit tiny, but still, it fit very well with the cosy atmosphere of the room.
Staff was kind enough to check us in earlier, bed room was roomy breakfast was very good. bellboy accompany me to parking garage to get my car. They were amazing!!!!! can't wait to come back
No Parking, so next time I wont bring a car
Location. It looked like breakfast would be good but we had to leave too early.
We had to climb way too many stairs and wind through an absolute. Maze of corridors to get to our room...up stairs. Down hall. .up stairs. ..another corridor.. Up stairs...which way! Exhausted! no elevator. After a day hiking around the hilly city it was too much. And the last straw was our room had a window opening onto an enclosed space. The people who worked there were nice thank goodness
