I had everything that I needed, an excellent kitchen, a hot shower and a good bed
In the nights it can be really noisy because of the traffic
Very pretty, safe, and convenient hostel. Just a few blocks from town, so easy walk to many dinner options. Also close to grocery and all the rental car companies. Free bikes make it an easy 1 or 2 mile ride to the beach.
The staff was very nice, funny and helpful. You can rent bicycles for free and this is convenient to reach the places around. There is a supermarket in front of the hostel and you can use the kitchen at every time.
Near large supermarket, kitchen available, funky, interesting guests Quiet, near by restaurant and con-venient location.
This place was great for the price!
kitchen, bikes for free
dark surroundings, very basic, no pressure in the shower
Free bikes were fantastic, although give them a test ride first! The bed was huge, beautifully decorated and clean. Fridge in our room was a blessing and proximity to supermarket, town & beach great.
Location is great... Free bikes make getting to the beach easy but also close enough to town for easy access to bars and restaurants. Best of both worlds.
The shower went cold randomly every time.
I loved the set up, the atmosphere and the way it was decorated, it has a sweet garden and nice relaxing porch. The rooms were clean and the free bikes very handy.
Our room came with air conditioning, but the staff charged us an extra MXN 200 per night if we wanted the remote to use it. Generally speaking they were ratger short an unhelpful about a few things. The shower in our room was not really a shower.
Nice staff, nice location, use of bikes.
Bike malfunctioned an hour away from hotel, was kinda stressful. Would have been nice to be explained where the Historical site was as we cycled for 2 hours in the wrong direction, although we are stupid people, not really their fault, actually not their fault at all....oh my god, I can't stop typing aaaaaaaah
Carlos was very hospitable and very helpful. He speaks English which was a blessing for us. Kitchen in the room was also very handy. Great kitchenette facilities for use. Free bicycles are a major plus Internet was reasonable Best cheap accommodation near the tulum beaches Nice rooms
Everything was good but one thing I think needs to be looked at is the microwave and the socket it plugs into. I forgot to mention this to Carlos but the cord from the microwave gets very hot due to poor maintenance on the cable. I think the whole microwave needs replacing and the wall socket needs an electrician to look at it. Could be a safety hazard.
reasonable price, great location
staff very kind and helpful. free bikes are such a plus in a place like Tulum.
no water pressure in the shower. that the only thing that bothered me.
Location, cute cabana room that had a safe, fridge, fan, a/c, lights over the bed, clean shower, new amenities as we needed (tp), wifi, no bugs, free bikes, nice staff. I loved hearing the birds in the morning through the br window. So beautiful.
Kitchenette kingsize bed free bike rental Big supermarket arround the corner
Many many mosquitos
Free use of bicycle. Room is clean and cozy. A big and nice supermarket 1 min away from the hotel. Wifi is good.
Breakfast is quite simple. Staff is a bit cold sometimes.
Free bikes available and plenty of them! The location was a 15 minute bike ride to the public beach (a beautiful beach!), and a 5 minute walk to the main drag for restaurants, taco carts, and tourist shops. The large grocery store is right across the street. The communal kitchen was great and it was cleaned regularly. Breakfast was simple but delicious homemade toast and great coffee. It's a very quiet, very clean, and relaxing place to stay. We felt very safe as five females (three adults and two children).
It's on a busy street but that's the Tulum experience. Hot water was limited but who cares when you're in Mexico.
Between beach and old town which was a pretty good location.. Private room bed was massive and the room had aircon and a fan so kept nice and cool
Free bikes were not always available for everyone so you have to get in early.. Night manager was a bit blunt and not friendly
too many gaps around doors and windows leaving one exposed to mosquitos coming in. Windows where not sealed letting bugs in. Windows were 8 feet high crating a cell block of a room no view to outside. Front door had a lot of gaps letting in water and bugs. Room dark.
The employees were very friendly and effective
The manager wanted to have an early payment for the total amount by account transfers, without any option under ten days. No credit card or online payment possible. He also tried to add 15% at checkout.
The location was good...it was about a 25 minute walk to the ADO bus station/centre of town and about a 15 minute bike ride to the beach area. They provided free bikes so it was quick and easy to get to either spot. Rooms were clean and had a small fridge and AC.
The bathroom smelled sort of like an outhouse. Luckily with the door closed the smell didn't come into the main area. The owner isn't friendly, though his demeanour didn't really impact our stay at all.
The location , it's so nice because you can go to Tulum pueblo in bike , on Tulum Ruins in bike and at the beach also in bike. It's nice place with nice staff.
The kitchen outside was just ok.
The staff was friendly and always around if I had a question or wanted a recommendation. The beds were firm but I slept like a rock. The location is good. the free bikes are a little rough but they well take you to the beach, in to town or the ruins. It is close to the night life but not so close that you need to listen to it. We spent a week here and we will go back.
Across the road from large supermarket. Bikes free (old but free)
Shower rose no existant - water came out of a spout. It did the job for a last minute booking but over priced for what you got. B'fast - coffee & toast that took ages to come. We waited for the eggs that other people had till we realised they cooked them in the little kitchen ( a bonus)
It is a fun little hostel with great staff.
The mattress was rather lumpy.
I loved how it was a 15 min bike to the beach (or 30 to the stretch we loved.) I loved how it was a 10 min walk to town. I loved how it was across the street from a grocery store. I loved how you could cook your own meals. I loved the free bikes. I loved the whole vibe in the girls dorm. I loved Julio's vibe. I loved the music they played.
Zero complaints about the actual place. But didn't love the jerks who would leave the kitchen a mess and clog the sink and leave dirty dishes everywhere.
