Free bikes, convenient location between the city and the beach
Free use of (pretty bad) bikes. Good staff.
Claiming that booking.com had erred, I was given a bed outside of any dorm which meant I heard all the cars etc on the road.
Very good value for the money: it was one of the most cheapest place to stay in Tulum. Very nice hostel with private rooms with airco. You can grab a bike for free and go to the beach, the tempels of Tulum or the centre. No hot shower (but it was too hot for that anyway).
The free bicycle rentals were grey for exploring tulum. We also enjoyed the community kitchen, it's a great place for travelers on a tight budget. No unnecessary ammenities like a pool of a tv. They also gave us a little handmade ornent at check in which was nice. The room was comfortable.
The worse shower ever! The water came from a rusty pipe in the bathroom and the hot water was barely a trickle. I don't usually mind rustic but I have a hard time with cold showers. The lock on the door was also broke when we arrived but the staff came and fixed it asap.
Warm, inviting, simple beauty. The room is basic - all we needed. The location & free bikes make for a great trip.
The beds / bedding were primitive.
Close to the beach...free use of bikes...next to supermarket...very convenient to downtown for eating out.
Close to a venue with loud music until the wee hours made it hard to sleep. Breakfast was coffee and toast and jam.
They rent out bikes for free, its right in between the beach and "downtown". Senior with the ponytail (sry i forget your name) was super helpfull and seemed to always care. He remembered everybodys name! Keep up the great work!
Location was on bike path between Tulum Pueblo and the beach and ruins . Close to town for restaurants and grocery store.
Triple room was tiny and dark, not bright and sunny with view of garden. You could sleep all day and never know the sun had risen.
El Punto is just outside of town but included in your stay is the use if the hotels bikes which makes for easy access around the town. The rooms were very spacious and there was great wifi speed. We were able to use the communal kitchen which was great as we had been on the road for three weeks and were dying for a home cooked meal. Staff are really good. Loved the fact that a dog lived on the property. It felt like home.
the only place in town with a free room
Outrageously priced Very basic hostel I had better bathrooms in my backpacking in Laos
One staff member very friendly and helpful, beautiful place, free bikes are great
The shower in the dorm didn't really work at all, one staff member very unfriendly.
No había agua caliente
This place is a very poor guesthouse with prices of a 4 stars hotel. It's very very far from the beach, but it s also far from the part of the town where are restaurants and bars. They gave us bikes for free to go to the beach, but they are all very old and rusty. We missed the flight connection to cancun, so we arrived one day later, but we immediatly call them to tell we were going there the next morning. They said that we had to pay also the night we weren't there and we said it was ok, because we understood their reason. But really we didn t understand why, the next morning, we had to wait two hours to have our room. Did they rent the room to others even if we had paid for it? We will never know. We just know that in tulum there are many many places better and much cheaper than El punto.
The room was clean, bed comfortable, personal helpful. Kitchen was nicely equipped. Location is good, quiet, supermarket is across the road, you can drive by bycicle to the plage, to the ruins, to the cenotes. Nice garden, free bikes.
The room was quite dark and there were no space where you can put your swimsuits or towels thus we consider it generally overpriced.
We booked last minute when our adult son joined us for part of our long journey Mexico to Central America and we need a triple room. There were few choices. Breakfast in the morning and free bikes were nice.
The private rooms are not "bright and cheery with garden view. They are dark and tiny with one tiny window looking out to a common area. You could sleep all day , not realizing the sun had risen.
Availability of bikes, the marvelous art and attention to detail and welcome. Availability of information re; diving and expeditions. English speakers, when necessary. I adore the outdoor hostel kitchen. Helpful to have the market across the road, a well.
No more "boy." They swarmed my room, sat on my bed while I was trying to rest, left the bathroom and hostel room in disarray. THey kept us until about 2 a.m drinking, then left their table f u l l of bottles ashes plates for others to clean us. No group sensitivity or personal consciousness. It was always nice with women only before. (Still p oor lighting)
Close to the beach, free bike, kitchen, the room was clean, lockers, close to a big supermarket, friendly people at the reception.
Wifi only at the reception, view of the main road instead of the tropical garden. Breakfast isn't included (we had to insist to get it free as said on booking). The breakfast is only 4 pieces of bread and marmalade.
proximity to supermarket good location to go to the ruins or the beach or to the cenotes my name on a board in front of the reception nice garden and veranda kitchen available got a double room instead of dorm without extra charge
doors of the rooms are not safe safe is very old
Optimal position, on the way for the beach, not so far from the Pueblo & Ruins. Free bike rent Cheap
No included breakfast
Confy and special place. Great that they offer bikes for free!
Simple but good breakfast. Wifi is too weak.
the hostel is great if you are planning to stay for several days and explore the Tulum area. They have free bikes, a great supermarket nearby and 2 kitchens. Plus they have mini refrigerators in the rooms. they also give you a cute handmade gift while leaving.
the bathroom floor was made of very rough stone and hard on the feet. We just stayed overnight, so we couldn't make use of the kitchen or free bikes. its not that great a deal if you just need a place to stay overnight.
Clean, bed was good. Comfortable after a long day of travel. Free bikes. Clean kitchen area.
Shower was barely luke warm, although the shower itself was done very nicely (stone tile, warerfall fixture). Also, Wifi is unavailable from the rooms.
I liked almost everything. Location is close to everything since you have a free bycicle, 5 mints to beaches, 5 mints to Tulum ruins and even less to the centro of Tulum.
Reception people were not that nice (
I had everything that I needed, an excellent kitchen, a hot shower and a good bed
In the nights it can be really noisy because of the traffic
Very pretty, safe, and convenient hostel. Just a few blocks from town, so easy walk to many dinner options. Also close to grocery and all the rental car companies. Free bikes make it an easy 1 or 2 mile ride to the beach.
