I was at the Emporio Ixtapa for 10 days. It is an excellent value and I would happily return. Although it is a bit dated, i.e. manual key for mini bar and safe, the layout and room sizes are good. The indoor-outdoor lounge areas are attractive and spacious. The Hotel was apparently a Hilton originally. There are both taxi and public transportation stops immediately in front of the hotel and the Ixtapa town restaurants and amenities are across the street. The pool is large and there is a lifeguard at the beach. The hotel also participates in the program to re-populate the sea turtle population and has its own protected area for the safety of the developing eggs. Weddings are common at the Emporio, particularly on week-ends. If your room is on the side where the events take place, the noise factor is significant. Unfortunately, most of the water view rooms are impacted. There are many families with children who stay at the Hotel. |

Rooms are modern and comfortable. Bathrooms are well stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioners, etc.. |

The price was excellent and the upgrade was much appreciated. The staff were all friendly, and very helpful. When the air conditioning in the first room did not work we were able to change rooms with no problem. There were no balconies, even though it stated in the on-line descriptions of the hotel that they did have balconies; the poor to no internet connection; the one and only ice machine available was not functioning; the limited television programs available were mostly in Spanish. |

The hotel is ideally situated close to shops and restaurants with the beach directly on your doorstep. The open lobby is particulary impressive. The room was clean, tidy, a good size and had a lovely ocean view. The previous occupants of our room took the safe key with them, staff told us this would be replaced but was not so we could not use the safe for the duration of our stay. Music from both the hotel lobby and the nearby hotel outdoor entertainment was very loud and on one occasion went on quite late (after 1pm) which is not suitable for families. |

used restaurant- good service, good food, used swimming pool- staff could be faster with cleaning leftover food because of the birds just waiting for their turn to eat and making mess everywhere, Internet not working well, we asked for someone to come to our room and check it out because we were loosing connection every 5 minutes, a maintenance man came but nothing has been done |

la calidez del staff como tambien la vista de las habitaciones la playa siempre tiene bandera negra asi que no se puede utilizar. el servicio de internet inalambrico no existe sino en el lobby y solo en algunas ocaciones. |
