Choice of restaurants and bars Helpful check in / front desk staff

The only issue I had was the wrist bands that we had to wear constantly. They became a little gross after the beach/pool/shower etc but I understand why we have to have them.
My friends and I stayed here for our buddymoon. There were 10 us, including 3 couples. The all inclusive food was greaaaat, the drinks and staff were brilliant. I cannot wait to go back. The pool is the best hotel pool I've been in...10/10 Also, the White donuts and chocolate thick shakes at the cupcake shop were out of this world!!!

Original owners are still treated like second class citizens. I used to check out with $800-900 us bill. Now it's $200. Encourage me to spend more money & I will.
Bell crew...Alvarez & Jorge. Office..Flor. Agave waiters. Neyila.

The rooms are not that nice. We asked for a King bed but they pushed two doubles together instead. The water cooler leaked and flooded the floor on our second to last night there. They did give us a credit to check out the spa, which was nice.
The hotel is in a great location and the restaurant, spa, and pool areas are beautiful. Food is okay. Cabo San Lucas has great restaurants so it's still well worth it to check out restaurants in town.

Reported to the night desk people two different nights that someone was smoking in their room and the smoke was extremely strong in our bathroom. They said if that was true, the maids would have reported it. I suggested that they come up and smell it and they refused. The second time I reported it they offered to to move us to a different room which would have I convinced us. The problem was resolved when I spoke to the day staff about it.
Everything, but the daily calls from Raul and Isabelle about coming to the 90 minute breakfast (TIME SHARE)

The time share pitch at the beginning.

We found the food to be sub-par, particularly the buffet at Don Diego's. It was fine for breakfast food. But the dinners were not good. One Sunday evening on "international gala" night, the food was inedible.
The location is ideal. The pools were lovely. The staff was friendly.

HVAC was noisy
The physical effect and design are great. The rooms are a little run down.

Hotel is dated and old. Rooms need upgrade. Bed Matress and linens are awful. They put two doubles together to make a bed for a couple. Very strange. Awkward layout with staff giving different answers to the same questions. Their times for bars opening changed daily from their handout they gave us as to what to expect. They tried, but it just didn't work. There are much better facilities at beter prices. I would not go back.
The location was good, quiet and relaxing.

Service was the best..as was the location..

Food failed miserably. It may be all inclusive but you will probably want to eat elsewhere. Wifi terrible.
Location, fitness center.

Location was stunning!

The demographics of the resort were of the older crowd.
the activities were great and encourages guests to interact.

Jacuzzi's were not hot, coffee maker did not work even after reporting it, room bar was never stalked until we called to request. No mexican food or lobster on premise, you're there to eat sea food. There was alsways a worker waiting to get into the room for inventory or something. We were not informed of the shuttle times for the airport departure and therefore had to pay almost $100 for a cab.
rooms were clean, workers were gracious and freindly, the views are beautiful.

- Bed could have been a little softer
- Staff: everyone was so nice and welcoming - food (buffet was our favorite) - facilities: beautiful pool, beach area, grounds - the photos represent exactly what you will experience, which is excellence. - activities: always something to do and fun people to meet - room size: HUGE suite - cleanliness: Tejeda kept our room spotless. The whole resort was immaculate - views: outstanding views - location - proximity to other hotels/areas

watch out for the activities guys from the property next door (Gran Solmar)- we took a boat tour of El Arco and Lovers' beach and were stranded by our boatman for 3 hours, then paid another captain to get us back.
Amazing property with great amenities, staff, and delicious food. Spectacular views and great location.

Having to leave.
Service was top notch.
November 18, 2014
Hotel was open after the hurricane and lots of people working on hotel while we stayed . So loud noise and workers constantly walking around . Woke up in am by loud noises and hard to relax in upgraded area when workers working all day . Shouldn't of allowed people to stay in upgraded area till it was ready cause extra money was not worth it so to that
Staff was amazing and food was great . Beds were comfortable in the upgraded suites .

need better higher end liquor
Great friendly Staff, Food good but not great. Adult pool! Jenny on Entertainment staff!
November 13, 2014
Not particular to the hotel, but finding it was hard due to lack of signs on the streets. We didn't have GPS on car rented (and to be honest it wouldn't be necessary), but driving in the city is confusing - while all maps showed it was easy.
Location, easy to go to Los Cabos marina. Staff was exceeding expectations always: friendly and supportive Fun: it's a fun place to stay, you feel quickly integrated to Finisterra with their fun events and beautiful pool area Food: comfort food, great and well served options and what wasn't in the menu they could do it for us.

Check in process was painful as they make you visit the "concierge" before getting your room key. The "concierge" pressures you to attend a "club membership" aka time share presentation.
Entertainment staff were awesome and incredibly hard working. For an all inclusive resort the food was good. Pool area & beach views were great.

I didn't like the Old smelly rooms and showers I had to pay extra for an upgrade , cheap arm bands keeped falling apart.
The food is great
July 10, 2014
The staff was so-so. The "concierge" we were assigned to was supposed to explain all available amenities. Instead she started asking a couple of questions to get to know us better. The seemingly innocent questions became intrusive and quite personal and when I asked her why she was interrogating us and she replied she wanted to see whether we qualified for gifts. The gifts turned out to be specials for their vip club, another form of timesharing. When we pointed out we were not interested she changed dramatically, her courtesy was gone, and she merely scribbled some points on an activity sheet, handed it to us and left. Note to hotel management: calling someone "friend" all the time sounds very irritating and condescending.
Location... secluded and at the same time very close to the marina and the town.

Overall, the food was good, but the hotel could have used 1 more "nicer" restaurant. Also, if you book a deluxe room on the Marina side... be warned... there is a band or show on the plaza outside your room every other night (it alternates with a beach party). That means its pretty loud until 11pm. We didn't mind too much...but I was pretty surprised the first night we got there.
The location of this hotel was perfect. It's right in the middle of all the action of town and is very close to the marina (where you can book various excursions or just shop/walk around). We also felt very safe at the hotel. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and very gracious. You can't beat the views of this hotel... they are breathtaking. The spa was worth the time/money and the gym was very clean and had great views. My favorite parts were the cupcake café (Fausto makes amazing lattes), the Tortuga beach café (open to all in the evenings), the swim up bar at the main pool and the Whale watchers bar (amazing views and not very crowded). Our room was equipped with our own purified water jug and the 24 hour room service was very prompt and tasty. You can either make this hotel experience a party or take it easy and do your own thing. I already miss it... you won't be disappointed!
