I, like most guests stayed here while having dental work done. The owners also own 2 dental clinics - SaniDental. Although I went to a different clinic, they provide shuttle service to their clinics or guests requesting a ride to town for meals, it is only a short walk to town. Plenty of gated, secure parking. Three courtyards - pool area with chaise lounges, chairs and tables with your choice of sun or shade; a quiet area with a pleasant fountain, again with chairs and tables; the main courtyard for dining and relaxing. There is a bar in the main courtyards, however the owners are working on a liquor license, so if you want a drink BYOB. I've been coming to Mexico for 30 years and this is the best "bare bulb" place I've stayed in Mexico. All the furniture (night stands, headboard and desk are hand carved wood. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip!! I highly recommend staying here.
The bed and pillows were kind of hard. Pool isn't heated at all though its beautiful and clean. Other guests can be louder than you would expect for dental tourists, but the hotel is very good about the noise curfew.
The staff is awesome and the rooms and grounds are lovely. Dinner specials are delicious and very reasonable. There is a salon but I didn't try it. Other guests have always been friendly. There's a bar if you want it. Shower heads are very high, though this doesn't matter to me.
The mattress was horrible. I woke up with a backache and was in pain the next day. Did not sleep well at all.
The staff was great. Very friendly and informative. Nice courtyard.
It was quiet and pleasant.
I wish the room had a place to hang clothing. That's as bad as it gets.
My husband and I came to have dental work done and needed a soft diet which was provided. The location is so close to everything. We drove to the hacienda which is a couple of blocks from the boarder, parked our car there for our stay and walked 3 short blocks to our appointments.
Need chairs in room to put your clothes on. Would have been nice to have the bar a "working" bar.
A resort-like setting. Very quaint. Helpful staff. We felt safe within the walled and gated "resort". We wouldn't hesitate to come here again.
nothing bad to report, but not four star, price okay but a little high for that side of the border... The pool is freezing cold... And a couple of touches like real cream and milk for the percolator coffee and the garbage in the rooms being emptied daily instead of on request. I would return
much preferred the Hacienda to staying in Yuma, there is a "old El Paso :-) feel to the buildings, and it's a 10 minute walk from the dentist, rather than the back and forth and customs hassel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Their shuttle service into town was much appreciated. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Room was spacious and quiet on the edge of town. Comfortable beds.
Clean grounds and safety of area. Courtyard where guests could meet and visit and compare their happenings in Los Algodones. Convenient location close to shops and dentists and within walking distance of border crossing.
The lighting outside the rooms in new addition was way too bright at night. Save a dollar or two on the lighting bill and give it a cosy rather than jailhouse feel. Same goes for the fountain. We liked it all day but at night it just created too much noise.
The staff is wonderful. Tony is a "can do guy". Just ask for anything and he can do it. Roman is getting better with English every year. Linda as an ombudsman is a great help with many things. Some say its too far out from the center, I say its great to get away from the pushy vendors in the town center.
No fault the Hacienda, there was some partying going on outside my room for many hours one night only- NOT ON hotel property-not hotel's fault. Also, some happy hour(s) quests (sipping on cocktails) got a bit loud in the courtyard, but hey ...good for them- I was just there to recuperate.
I traveled solo for major dental work, stayed 5 nights. Staff was accommodating, friendly and understanding. The place is as cute as seen on website. Affordable. Room service upon request. Good food in quaint restaurant and will prepare if you need special order for post dental. Shuttle service if you need, but it is a nice walk to anywhere you are going in town.
My room was near the courtyard, so I kept smelling cigarette smoke in my room.
The room was clean and the bed fairly comfortable. The Wifi was very good. I was able to watch a Netflix show with no problem. The shuttle was available anytime I needed it. The driver took me to the border when it opened first thing. I will definitely stay there for my next dental treatment. The food was good and the servings very generous.
Food prices were high for Mexico and for the amount of food given.
Staff was so sweet and professional. The beds were excellent.
It was evident the people didn't get to keep their tips which is absolutely inexcusable. I quit tipping.
The people were very nice and helpful.
Quiet and casual Mexican feel to the Hacienda... Easy to get comfort food (Def not fast tho)...;-)
Everything is quite
Watch where you are put - rooms in the back of the hotel do not have windows, rather a somewhat useless air shaft with no outward view.
Hotel itself is attractive from the outside. Has a nice if chilly pool, small restaurant, and great patios.
Not much....for a place in Mexico
A pleasant, comfortable hideaway in the in the middle of dentistry mayhem. A quiet, well kept pearl oasis on the boarder of US and Mexico.
The food offered in their small cafe is just ok and does stay open to 9pm. The towns restaurants all close by 7pm, so plan ahead to eat early.
The 5 to 10 minute walk to my dentists office alone makes this worth the stay. A three day procedure kept me from wanting to drive to Yuma every day
Dining area/combo check in desk are had no music, was stark and uninviting. I didn't eat there. Was a block to get food. Beware, town closes at 4:30ish.
The room and property were clean. The room was fully stocked withe more towels than I needed. Plenty of shampoo, etc. No problem with BYOB as there is no bar there.
Pool was not usable for the 3 days I was there, 10.28.2014 murky green color. Very disappointing after a long day at the dentist! This is the start of high season so they need to get it together. I would have stayed in Yuma if I had known I wouldn't be able to take a swim and relax in the evening poolside. I booked the Jr suite according to the website and at first was shown small room with two beds. When I showed my paperwork we were given a larger room, but still not the Jr suite I booked and paid for. Oh well, too tired to argue any further. A bath fan would be nice as there is no window so you will be sharing with whoever is in the room with you.
Nice room, comfortable bed
The heat was unbearable so the air conditioning was great. We didn't get to stay the night unfortunately because we had to leave early. We let the staff know and we were hoping for a refund since we didn't even use the room. The beds were still made. I checked out the pool but it didn't look clean to me.
The staff was professional and accommodating. We stayed in an air conditioned room which was excellent.
NEEDS A CLOSET, POOR FOOD FACILITIES, RESTAURANT more variety of foods, poor menu , no phone in rooms for emergency , you must come out of the room to get help, very bad since a lot of people go to see the doctors in this town,
ROOM , VERY NICE, CLEAN , GREAT AIR CONDITION , SPECIALLY IN THE DESERT , nice people in the front desk friendly , excellent driver to take you where you need it
The internet is not great .
Personal care. Tiny Montana the manager makes sure you have everything.
could use a couple of more bath towels
quiet and comfortable. the food n the restaurant was very good and tasty
