Amazing staff, so friendly and helpful. The room was incredibly spacious, well appointed, beautifully decorated. Great location, a very short walk to the main heart of town.
Immaculately landscaped and maintained property is an oasis of calm and beauty in the center of the city. Great restaurants, shops and attractions are all within blocks of the hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful in making recommendations and booking tours, cars and meals.
We liked everything and wouldn't change a thing about this hotel!
The nice building, personal beautiful decoration with nice paintings, few people,no mas- -turisme,nice breakfast place, wonderful continental breakfast, staff extremely friendly. we had the mastersuite with a small terrasse and sitting there at night with stars and the quiteness was perfect. For this luxury stay it was few money. Very centrical, free parking nearby !
The waterpressure at WC and shower. To get into the tub (banera), to take a shower, a little bit too wide and dangerous to slip down.
The spacious room and bathroom, the decoration, the silence of suite number 4, the house
The old pillows
This hacienda has been restaured beautifully. French owner has made sure to keep the original features, whilst adding needed modernisation to luxury standard. Bedrooms, although simply decorated are stylish and very comfortable. Staff very attentive and helpful. Breakfast generous and delicious. Pool is an added bonus in this oasis of calm.
Peaceful, quiet, and immaculate accommodation in the historic centre of Mérida. Step through the original wooden doors from the busy street and meet the tranquillity of these beautifully kept, large rooms. Free car park just a few metres along the street. Only a short walk to the centro. Relaxed efficient service from friendly staff. We would stay again tomorrow!
The pool water needed better filtering: Not dirty, but sunscreen seemed to be coating the water surface.

This is a perfect setting for respite within a busy fascinating mexican city. PArticularly wonderful is that it is a mixture of an old house- city hacienda with 5m high ceilings and arcaded walkways and a new addition within the same old design style. There is a quiet beautiful courtyard and a small swimming pool-what a delight -a mixture of morocco, spain and mexico You couldn't ask for more
This is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. I chose it for location, not realizing what a luxury hotel it was. It is an over-the-top beautiful hotel, and the service was so gracious, I wanted to move in and stay with the staff! Each one was friendly, helpful and funny. It is on a busy street; remarkably, behind the front door, it was quiet and serene.
There is nothing not to like about this hotel. My only complaint is that I would've enjoyed more contact with other guests. The VIP part uses a separate door, so I seldom saw other guests.
- the overall ambiance of the hotel was superb - every member of the staff team was extremely courteous, helpful, and pleasant - breakfast was, for the most part, consistently tasteful and hot - the staff's effort to speak English and help us with Spanish was a plus - Francisco was extremely helpful, courteous and a true gentleman
- did not find the ham (jamon) to be tasty wheres as the bacon (tocino) was consistently good - on one morning, the orange juice did not have a good taste. In fairness, these issues can exist in any hotel over a period of a stay
Everything .beautifully decor comfortable bed.excellent service.
The piped music continually played in all areas and right outside bedroom after 10pm. Had to ask to turn it off.
Gracious, professional staff. Lovely rooms and courtyard. Our room adjacent to the pool was spacious and tastefully decorated. Location was close to the main square, but far enough away to ensure tranquility at night.
the spacious, open planned and airy Hacienda Style architecture. It is a beautiful oasis for everybody who is looking for a tranquil place and people that appreciate an aesthetic and luxury environment. I highly recommand this hotel. I would defenitely go again!
The stuff was very friendly but I feel in a high class Hotel people at the front desk should provide you with all the facts you need for your trip instead of sending you to the hostel next door to ask for bus schedules.
Excellent service and great location for historic centre of Merida. We were in the old part of the hotel and surrounded by beautiful art and objects. Good pool, highly recommended - even the room with no windows was good, with light coming from the very high ceiling and huge doors.
Brilliant staff and a owner who takes an interest in his guests Excellent location Attention to detail Stylish Amazing bathroom! Oasis of calm within the city
Breakfast was fair but could be improved
Nice overall atmosphere in the common areas and good location. The waitstaff at breakfast was very attentive. Really nice soap & bath products made with local honey.
We were given a room with no windows - which was not indicated when we reserved the room. It was like being in a fancy tomb. For the high price we paid we were expecting at least a room with a window - and if we had known we would have booked a room in another hotel for a comparable price. Also the bathroom wall behind the toilet was disintegrating & moldy from moisture and lack of ventilation.
We lived in the VIP part of the Hacienda...The place is just excellent! You would not believe what is behind the facade! One of my favourite, if I come to Merida next time, will not choose any other place to stay!
An extremely beautiful hotel. Very attentive staff, ready to help in every way, very clean and comfortable. Around 10 minutes walk from Zocalo. Highly reccomended.
Our room was in the old part of the building that had not a real window. We could have some light from an opening in the door, so it was not a real problem.
A wonderfull hotel, we were lucky to stay at the suite with a nice terrace overlooking the pool and hotel. Breakfast and service were very good, great value for money.
Nice atmosphere, very wel decorated.
The bath can not be used. To big and not enough warm water. Nice shower though.
