The facility was charming and clean. Hammocks were lovely. Activities were fun. Style was flexible. Internet was available.
Improved monitoring of guests and their activities particularly throughout the evening and night would contribute to safety.
Super social place, stuff going on every night from guacamole night to tequila jenga! Not a party hostel but plenty of parties. Good location close to parque palapas with loads of places to eat. Fun and helpful staff, especially Aaron and Jacqueline.
2 bathrooms for up to 20 people
The people we met here and a few of the staff were the only positives.
It smells. Uncomfortable beds. Poor breakfast which you have to cook yourself, which I don't mind, but the kitchen is tiny and everyone else in the hostel is trying to make food at the same time. The cat that is constantly under your feet trying to eat everything it can (including a pack of raw mince meat). The fridge that electrocutes you, and even when you put labelled food in there it goes missing. The communal area is tiny and the 'sofa' is a couple of planks of wood so there is never anywhere to relax. There is never any hot water and sometimes no water at all. They advertise themselves as a party hostel but their 'parties' are basic and boring and they charge you extra for the club nights which is a nice touch. We don't mind a party, but when you ask for the music to be tiene down at 4am and the staff turn it back up again, it's a bit much. Especially when you're in the front room. The worst thing though was the supervisor Cristina. Rude, unhelpful, cold and dry. Tried to charge us 145 to sleep outside in a hammock with the mosquitoes. That's when we left and went to Haina in the street behind. Much cheaper, quieter, cleaner, better breakfast & staff. Or if you want to party properly choose the one next door to Haina. Sounded like they were having a blast.
This hostel is amazing, met so many wonderful people. The staff are all really helpful and kind, and extremely informative. If there are any day time or night time activities you want to do, Christina the manager is excellent at organising this for you at a discounted rate. It was my first time travelling solo and in hostels and I'm just so so glad I choose this one. I felt at home within minutes and even ended up staying for longer because it was so cool. Will be returning there before my flight home for sure!
Very social environment, super friendly staff, awesome place
The people there were really cool. If it wasn't for the other backpackers there I would have left straight away but they were amazing. This was the only thing it had going for it.
The staff members, particularly Leo made you feel incredibly uncomfortable. I thought she was just a rude traveller - couldn't believe she was actually a staff member! Also Christine, the manager would berate her staff in front of you making the atmosphere quite intense. This is extremely unprofessional and awkward for those staying at the hostel. I didn't know where to look and felt sympathy for the poor staff member who has just been humiliated in front of a bunch of people. So rude! And the breakfast situation - seriously, you choose one item...that is a joke! It's not the cheapest hostel in Cancun and then to be offered either ONE piece of toast or pitiful oats with only water - yep guys there are def better options.
Vert Nice place Friendly staff always available Open 24h
I loved that with in an hour of arriving I met everyone & was in such a relaxed and friendly environment - great hostel & staff.!! Close to bus station & shops.. Had a great couple of days here with some amazing people - highly recomend.!!
Started my journey in Cancun. Allthough it was already pretty late I was welcomed really nice. People there (stuff and backpackers) are very open. It was easy to connect with them and I spend amazing 2 days there. The stuff was really helpful and they showed us where you can go to avoid the tourists and the joined us when we went to the beach or did something else. A big thanks goes to Leo. I really enjoyed the time with here, she helped whenever she could! She also joined us on her free days and we went to Tulum with her. This time was amazing and made my journey start unforgettable! She is amazing!! Big thank! If you go to Cancun and want to meet people and have a pretty good time Ka'Beh is where you should go. The rooms are god for a hostel and they clean it all the time! I don't think you would find a better hostel in Cancun!
The music was once in a while too loud, it was somites hard to talk to each other without yelling. Unfortunately there is no waterslide in the Hostel
