But it's way far from the hotels area where all the beaches and nightlife are. The area is not very nice and safe. The staff has difficulties in speaking in English
The hotel is clean and it has everything
We loved absolutely everything: beautiful rooms, large flat screen tvs with multiple cable options in English, consistently excellent wifi, powerful a/c, views over the lagoon, grocery store on-site (with an impressive new shopping mall across the street - movies, cafes, etc), numerous electrical outlets, and potable water on tap. Perfect place.
close to the airport
Location: was ok, mainly taxis as i couldn't find any public transport links Travel to Airport, was also taxi as the earliest ADO bus leave the location at 7:30am. Shuttlebus companies do not pick up from this location either. Food on site was terrible. I wish I hadnt! A chicken burger and chops looked like it had been cooked/friend about three seperate times and frozen and thawed in between. I didnt eat it.. there is an italian place right opposite that looked amazing and had lots of customers. id recommend that
The hotel was comfortable and the staff were friendly
5 people were waiting for rooms, and the front desk said all rooms were being cleaned, but would be ready for 3 PM check in. As soon as the front desk person left for the day and a new front desk person appeared at 3, magically all of the rooms were ready. How did they coordinate that? Guess the person on duty until 3 wasn't interested in "working" hard enough to check us in. Also, you could have made penicillin from the mold in the shower.
Price, internet were both good.
Location isn't great.
Good place for an overnight stay.
Is not posible to open window in room. Individual Aircon did work, but very noisy. Not a new silent one.
Good location, price ok, very good beds and lining, internet works well in room, clean
Very small room but good value
valet parking - little room
close to mall and supermarket - they have a baby cot available
A bit noisy.
Nice and clean, and the staff were helpful.
Toilet was quite dirty, mentioned it to staff and it was cleaned, but they forgot parts of it (between lid and seat) Not much around but half way to the airport
Ibis is a chain, so no negative surprises Basic but all you need Good wifi
Rooms were very small. No coffee or hot water. Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows were lumpy. Had to go out and buy my own pillow.
The staff was friendly and the room was clean.
The sink tap has a fitting that produces a fine spray rather than a steady flow -- presumably to save water -- with the result that the flow is a trickle when low or sprays the mirror and your clothes when high.
Cleanliness and comfort of room and facilities (comfortable bed and nice shower with good flow). Very good buffet breakfast (not included in room price, cost 89 pesos, but cheaper if you eat very early or late). Free WiFi in room. Left-luggage facility made it possible to travel light for an excursion to Havana in Cuba. Supermarket, pharmacy and Italian restaurant literally on the doorstep.
located not close to the beach
a very good alternative if you want to pay reasonable price
Just little things. The cleaners made a lot of noise in the corridor when I was trying to nap (it was the middle of the day so..). The soap dispenser in the shower was broken. Despite these I would stay there again most definitely. I enjoyed my stay and felt very comfortable.
The staff were friendly, the room was cosy and clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for me.
As with most hotel chains, you get what you expect or are used to. Having a supermarket virtually inside the hotel proved quite convenient. Half a mile down the road, another big shopping mall with cineplex.
For the price, this hotel has everything you want. 24 hour room service, clean comfortable quiet room. It is located next door to a super market. The staff is great. I don't understand why anyone would rate this hotel low unless you are unrealistically looking for 5 stars for under $50 a night.
windows don't open, need A/C just to breathe; need bus or taxi to everywhere. impersonal.
Wish they had a queen or king room.
I found Ibis to be a breath of fresh air away from the overpriced tourism found in Cancun. On site you had a MINI-Walmart, cafeteria, cafe, Italian Restaurant and large mall right across the street (Plaza Las Americas). You were only a reasonable priced taxi-ride away from the Bus terminal (50 pesos), Zona Hotelera (tourist zone) (70 pesos), Ferry Terminal for Isla Mujeres (70 pesos) and Playa Delfines (Cancun's best beach) (200 pesos). The room came with a double-bed, small desk, and nice size bathroom. The shower produced great water pressure and hot water plus the room was cleaned perfectly daily including the bedding changed with clean towels. Internet worked perfectly. I have no complaints about the service. You could book tours at the hotel and walk to many restaurants like Hooters or Tangos close to the mall. The room may be a little small but it is perfect for a single traveler or business traveler on a budget. Taxi to the airport is about $250 pesos or U$25. I do not recommend this accommodation for honeymoons, family vacations, or long stays (over a week). I would definitely stay again on business. Happy Travels!!!
Mattress certainly needs to be replaced. Rooms very small with full size beds and not queen good only for a single person.
I had to re-activate my room card at the reception 3 times. The toilet at my room was defective, I called reception and promised someone will be sent immediately, nobody showed up.. I asked for a new room the next day.
Location was good and convienient for our needs, close to shopping centre with shops and restaurants, very simple facilities in hotel but adequate for 1 night on transit through Cancun
Breakfast is not included, with 85 Mexican Peso cheap but also not very good. Coffee not drinkable. Okay if you stick to simple stuff like toast and juice.
We stayed one night at Ibis in order to easily reach or flight the next morning. Everything fine.
Had to change rooms due to smokey smell
Bus access Staff Cheap breakfast buffet
at 8km from the first beach
clean and all confort...great breakfast just at 4$... excellent wifi
