Very small room but good value
close to mall and supermarket - they have a baby cot available
valet parking - little room
Nice and clean, and the staff were helpful.
A bit noisy.
Ibis is a chain, so no negative surprises Basic but all you need Good wifi
Toilet was quite dirty, mentioned it to staff and it was cleaned, but they forgot parts of it (between lid and seat) Not much around but half way to the airport
The staff was friendly and the room was clean.
Rooms were very small. No coffee or hot water. Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows were lumpy. Had to go out and buy my own pillow.
Cleanliness and comfort of room and facilities (comfortable bed and nice shower with good flow). Very good buffet breakfast (not included in room price, cost 89 pesos, but cheaper if you eat very early or late). Free WiFi in room. Left-luggage facility made it possible to travel light for an excursion to Havana in Cuba. Supermarket, pharmacy and Italian restaurant literally on the doorstep.
The sink tap has a fitting that produces a fine spray rather than a steady flow -- presumably to save water -- with the result that the flow is a trickle when low or sprays the mirror and your clothes when high.
a very good alternative if you want to pay reasonable price
located not close to the beach
The staff were friendly, the room was cosy and clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for me.
Just little things. The cleaners made a lot of noise in the corridor when I was trying to nap (it was the middle of the day so..). The soap dispenser in the shower was broken. Despite these I would stay there again most definitely. I enjoyed my stay and felt very comfortable.
As with most hotel chains, you get what you expect or are used to. Having a supermarket virtually inside the hotel proved quite convenient. Half a mile down the road, another big shopping mall with cineplex.
For the price, this hotel has everything you want. 24 hour room service, clean comfortable quiet room. It is located next door to a super market. The staff is great. I don't understand why anyone would rate this hotel low unless you are unrealistically looking for 5 stars for under $50 a night.
windows don't open, need A/C just to breathe; need bus or taxi to everywhere. impersonal.
I found Ibis to be a breath of fresh air away from the overpriced tourism found in Cancun. On site you had a MINI-Walmart, cafeteria, cafe, Italian Restaurant and large mall right across the street (Plaza Las Americas). You were only a reasonable priced taxi-ride away from the Bus terminal (50 pesos), Zona Hotelera (tourist zone) (70 pesos), Ferry Terminal for Isla Mujeres (70 pesos) and Playa Delfines (Cancun's best beach) (200 pesos). The room came with a double-bed, small desk, and nice size bathroom. The shower produced great water pressure and hot water plus the room was cleaned perfectly daily including the bedding changed with clean towels. Internet worked perfectly. I have no complaints about the service. You could book tours at the hotel and walk to many restaurants like Hooters or Tangos close to the mall. The room may be a little small but it is perfect for a single traveler or business traveler on a budget. Taxi to the airport is about $250 pesos or U$25. I do not recommend this accommodation for honeymoons, family vacations, or long stays (over a week). I would definitely stay again on business. Happy Travels!!!
Wish they had a queen or king room.
Mattress certainly needs to be replaced. Rooms very small with full size beds and not queen good only for a single person.
I had to re-activate my room card at the reception 3 times. The toilet at my room was defective, I called reception and promised someone will be sent immediately, nobody showed up.. I asked for a new room the next day.
Location was good and convienient for our needs, close to shopping centre with shops and restaurants, very simple facilities in hotel but adequate for 1 night on transit through Cancun
We stayed one night at Ibis in order to easily reach or flight the next morning. Everything fine.
Breakfast is not included, with 85 Mexican Peso cheap but also not very good. Coffee not drinkable. Okay if you stick to simple stuff like toast and juice.
Bus access Staff Cheap breakfast buffet
Had to change rooms due to smokey smell
clean and all confort...great breakfast just at 4$... excellent wifi
at 8km from the first beach
Amazing free wifi (you can even stream videos) Perfect location close to at least 15 bus lines; across the street from Plaza Las Américas. Supermarket, pharmacy and language school within the building. Usd 6/mxp 85 buffet breakfast.
No lockbox/safe. No shampoo or conditioner (soap is provided).
location is optimal if you want to go to the airport the next day standard quality of an IBIS Hotel
the water in the toilet was brown we had a discussion if the bedsheets were clean or not you can hear the people in the doorway reception is rather slow
-Close to a local supermarket -Easy reach of local attractions and airport -Very helpful and friendly staff -Very good wifi -Very clean, comfortable and quiet rooms.
- Could not open window (at least in our room) - Overpriced laundry service
Clean, helpful staff, very quiet, good ac. Right next door to a super market. Taxis were easy to hail from ibis.
Location is a little inconvenient from restaurants and beach. We used mostly taxis to get around and lots of walking.
BEDS DISASTER ..... TOOO SMALLLLLL
Reservation could not be paid in cash and bathroom had some problems.
The room stunk bad
