AC had a problem. Was not working. but this is a mechanical issue.
We stayed six nights. Wonderful staff, very accommodating and friendly. The free breakfast is delicious and the free bike rental was useful as we didn't rent a car and used the bikes to get almost everywhere we needed to go. If staying in Tulum, this is the place to stay. At the beginning of town, s a quick walk and you're right in the middle of the action. :) Clean rooms and bathroom, didn't see one bug the entire time at the hostel, even outside in the common area. Air conditioning worked great. No mosquitoes in room. Couldn't have imagined a better low-key place to stay! Thank you ITour!
The ONLY bad part is that it is a little ways from the beach, but with the free bike rental, it is only a 15 min ride to the beach, or take a cab as the fare isn't expensive.
We stayed at 5 hotels during our 2 week honeymoon and this was our favorite. We even stayed at a cabana right on the beach in Tulum and we wished we had booked all of our Tulum stay at Itour. The staff was so friendly, the room was private and comfortable, and the location was excellent. They knew our name when we arrived. We will definitely be back. Book Itour.
2nd time at Itour and it will not be our last...This little B&B is located in the perfect spot. A bike ride to the ruins, the starting point where the pueblo begins and located not to far the the ADO bus station. Local van transportation takes you to the Cenotes, Playa del Carmen, Akumal and Xcaret, etc. with a bus stop right across the street from iTour make this a convenient and prime spot. Also sign-up for all day excursions is right there at iTour in the office and the excursions' pick-up location is iTour. Check out the all day excursion to Punta Allen by Van...it was our favorite. The grocery store is right across the street. The staff is friendly and warm and the rooms are clean and affordable...this B&B includes bikes for you to use at no extra charge. We LOVE it here and as much as I would not want too many people to know about iTour because it has 6 rooms and spots fill up quickly....I can't keep help but sharing how fortunate me and my husband are to find iTour.....it's our home away from home. There really isn't anything me and my husband did not like about iTour...we are pretty 'easy going' and not hard to please...except I am very fussy when it comes to cleanliness and the rooms are very clean...so I feel comfortable staying at iTour. One thing I need to mention.... If you are sensitive to noise, you can hear the trucks and cars passing, this did not bother us at all. I brought ear plugs, just in case, and I did not use them once. If you travel into the pueblo at night, bring insect repellant, there are mosquitos. A tip - - make sure to open and close you room doors quickly to keep them out of your room....we did this and it worked, no mosquitos. Again there isn't anything I did not like about iTour, as much as we don't want EVERYONE to know about our place....because we want this place to ourselves....I can't help myself but to say EXCELLENT things about iTour....it's our FAVORITE.
The hotel is located at the end of Tulum town. You can borrow bike and go to the beach, ruins and cenotes and you can walk for dinner to the town. There is only 6 or 7 rooms. We had one which is called Mexican - it was huge, it had small kitchen, nice bathroom, nicely decorated. It had fridge. Very simple but good breakfast and if its not enough there is big supermarket just across the road. Hotel staff is vera nice and helpfull. Our room was very quiet. We would definately come back!!!
No hairdryer - but that is common in hotels in Mexico. There is wooden ceiling in the mexican room above the kitchen. So dont leave any food anywhere else then fridge because there will be ant invasion from the ceiling if you will :-)
The staff was great, the decor was hilarious, free wifi, but my favorite part was the free bikes (those were awesome)!
many will mention the "quirky" or "funky" rooms and they are that, but few will mention that they are really beautiful too. the staff is wonderful and the inn is the first place on the main strip, perfect location. couldn't be any better really. free bike rental is a huge plus and saves tons on cabs.
not a complaint really just more a fyi. the inn is THE major pickup and dropoff for tours in the area, so every morning starts with the tour buses rolling in and picking up people. so the hangout area in the middle of the hotel fills up quickly and then in less then an hour whoosh they're gone. actually makes for some fun people watching.
Great staff, helpful and friendly Good breakfast Located close to the city center
room is quite dark
First of all I'd like to point out the staff of the hotel and Marco the owner were extremely friendly and helpful to us. The hotel is close to the beach, just 15 min by bicycle (which you get for free), a 7 min walk to the center of town and is on the main road to either Playa or Chichen Itza. The hotel also offers tours which leave daily. We also loved the fact that each room has a theme, lovely! Thanks for a great stay.
Nice efficient staff; cute rooms; tasty breakfast of croissants & endless coffee. would go back for a night or two
on very busy road (but the noise didn't really bother you when in the room); bed was too hard for my taste
cool place, the staff was helping, smiling all the time clean room
There is literally nothing bad to say about this hostel. Great service from all the staff, a lot of services (free bikes, very tasty breakfast, tours), beautifully decorated rooms, etc. Overall it was a great experience. Anyone who is heading to Tulum should stay here.
Just to say something, the water pressure could be stronger. Not a big deal.
We stayed in 8 locations in Mexico in total, and iTour Mexico was our favourite. We stayed in the Frida Kahlo room which was lovely and the location was perfect for visiting cenotes, the beach and going to the town to eat or shop. Tulum is quite spread out with very little public transport, so the bikes were indespensable. We had pink ones! The breakfast was great also. The best thing about iTour is the staff though, so friendly, helpful and genuinely nice.
Very nice staff, bikes included in the price, comfortable rooms.
Place is next to the highway.
The staff is the most friendly and they are always taking care of you. The location it's awesome since it is in the middle between the beach and Tulum town centre.
The staff was fantastic. The hotel was immaculate. The location was excellent.
The weather was iffy at times.
Staff was attentive and genuinely friendly, room spotlessly clean and comfortable with fan and air, free breakfast was unlimited cappucinos and unlimited sweet pastry or ham and cheese on good bread, grilled. Great location for getting out and doing stuff. Every day we looked forward to coming home to see how the cleaning staff had folded our towels...elephants, turtles...made me wish I could do origami to leave the tips with a fancy fold. Cannot say enough good stuff about this place, rock solid wi fi, great staff, always ready to help, grocery store across the street, and a bargain at about $60 US
Location - at crossroads between beach, ruins and town Staff - friendly and extremely helpful Breakfast - Italian croissants, foccacia and cappuccino
Included Bikes Included Breakfast Towel art in the bedroom Atmosphere, staff all the little details
Above all, the staff! One was more helpful than the other. It was like a competition of kindness. The room was also very nice and clean. Last but not least: the signs in the hotel ;)!
If you stay there you certainly need a mean of transportation either for the beach or for the town. And the bikes they give you (for free) is not the best choice with this heat.
Relaxed environment, very friendly and professional staff. Spotlessly clean, huge comfortable bed, great breakfast, safe and secure. The management really understand what customer service and hospitality is all about. The staff really go out of their way to ensure everything is perfect
Everything is great
Itour is a small hotel with 6 rooms. My fiance and I stayed at Speedy Gonzales room while my dad and his wife stayed at Frida Kahlo. The rooms were fun and very clean. The hotel organizes tours, and there is a lot of people in the common areas during the morning. Even then our rooms were quiet, we were able to sleep. The staff is outstanding and do a great job helping you in your stay. The hotel provides free bicycles (great to get to the beach, 20 min ride), towels for the beach, breakfast ( try the chocolate croissants), and internet. We had a rental car, and at the our arrival, I was not comfortable with the outside parking lot. However, they have a person on watch over night. There are several stores where you can buy food, water, etc. for a regular price. There are also a few restaurants if you do not want to go to the main street in the town.
The walking distance to the main street in town is not pleasant, but this is a small trade off compared to the benefits (plus you can ride the bicycle and be there in 3 min).
Great accomodation, value and friendly helpful staff. Handy location for transport and access to Tulum ruins, beach and eateries etc. Beautiful fruit breakfast appeared very promptly after asking. Free use of bikes to get to beach & ruins.
A bit noisy at times with location of busy cross roads but not a real problem.
Beautifully decorated, very clean. Great value for money. Excellent location, we rode the free bikes to the town, beach and ruins. Staff were fantastic and arranged a very late checkout at no extra charge. Free breakfast was delicious.
Complimentary bikes to get around. Helpful, friendly staff!
