The staff at the hotel were very helpful and kind. They gave us advises on where to go and how to get there and also where to go for a more mexican experience away from the turist areas. This is a great hotel for you who want a quiet and calm hotel just by the beach.
The room was big and nice. Considering that this area is really expensive it is a good place to stay. The staff at the reception was nice.
No breakfast available. Wa had to pay cash. The beach in front of the hotel is rather small (not as you see in the pictures) because all the hotels are really close.
the beach! awesome
- power outages - no fridge - A cooler with ice was promised and we never got it. - The wifi signal is poor in the rooms, and good in common areas where there are many mosquitos.
Right on the beach Walking distance from several restaurants Manager was really nice Proximity to small convenience store (beer, snacks, etc)
Limited WiFi access A bit pricey for comfort level but we went during high season (Christmas vacation)
Very friendly owner and staff. Kitchenette is a big plus for us. We will definitely come to the Kiras Beach House again.
Beach access. Nice water.
Electricity wasnt warking at night. To be able to charge phone and so on. Only lights sebe working.
very comfortable and at the very beach
troubles with WiFi and electricity
The room (suite with kitchenette) had incredible views of the ocean. Close proximity to the beach. Fans and windows made it possible to stay cool. The owner, Bernado, made our stay excellent! He is very accommodating and gave us a great introduction to Tulum. I will definitely stay at Kira's again.
Lack of restaurant/coffee shop. It would have been nice to order a smoothie on the beach.
We loved the whole apartment house. The location is absolutely awesome, staff is polite and friendly and accomodation is really good.
moisture everywhere. Its kind of product of humidity so dont worry about it.
Great place to disappear & relax for a few days. Right on the beach with a beautiful sea breeze 24/7 which keeps mozzies away. However the back of the hostel is very hot & humid & mozzies attack at night. This is the only area that wifi works. Room was spacious & very clean but hot as hotel runs off a generator so only has a fan. No fridge in our room but hotel provided cooler & the store next to hotel has ice, beer, water & other necessities at very reasonable prices. This is the only store within 3 or 4 kms. Lots of nice restaurants close by but quite expensive. Well worth the trip though.
Bit far from everything but the store next door was handy & bikes available for hire close by.
The hotel was right on the beach which was amazing. Lots of restaurants and cafes near by. Staff were friendly. Rooms were comfortable.
No aircon in room so it got quite hot at night. Outside there is a beautiful ocean breeze however the hotel is not designed too well so there is no cross ventilation of this ocean breeze through the rooms, which is a shame. There is a ceiling fan in the room but it only really circulates the hot air around.
Location! The house is set in an amazing beach and close to restaurants. The rooms are clean and spacious, with great views and a place to sit outside. There is wifi, but a. It irregular Vailibility. There is enough shadow places and beach beds.
The staff, while nice, they did not make a big effort, we god no information about the facilities. There is no fridge in the appartment kitchenet and we did not know there was the posibility to use a communal kitchen in the house, so we ended havinf to walk to the store every time we wanted a cool drink. Ther was not single botle of water in the room, even in the most entry level hotels we have stayed, there si always one bottle at least. We found that strange. The room was a bit hot as the wind did not get enough sea brease, but it cooled off in the down ours.
Kira's beach house is a great place to stay!! The staff is always very helpful and we went also with one of the receptionist on a tour for free which was really awesome. You just had to tip him. However, we enjoyed it there so much that we wanted to extend our stay there but the Hotel was full. But then we got offered to stay in the bedroom from kiras office for free. Thanks again for everything!! We can highly recommend this place!!!
Fantastic location & good price for on the beach accommodation. Beach accommodation uses generators as there is no electricity. If you want a fantastic beach place for a fair price this is it, if you want all the comforts stay in town.
The shower did not work & the room was hot. No air conditioning.
Excellent location right on a gorgeous beach and sea, helpful staff, peaceful, big room, coomon kitchen
No air conditioning, low water pressure ( it seems that these two aspects are shared by all same hotel category), a bit expensive
High price No aircondition
For me the important thing was to be in the beach front, in that matter is perfect, the beach is beautiful and you have sun beds, small shower, so relax. The room was nice, a bit hot at night (only fan, no AC) the new coffee shop in the entrance is a good solution, for at least a coffee
hot at night (only fan, no AC), kitchen was horrible, you can just avoid it
Room had fan and airco. Nicely decorated large room. Easy access to the beach and nearby restaurants.
was hard to dry anything in the room. Doesn't have any breakfast option (although there are restaurants nearby that do).
- Spacious rooms, huge showers, everything looks new and cozy. - It has private toilet unlike some hotels in Tulum. - Nice part of Tulum beach with several great places to eat nearby. - Tiny store is the house right next to it and there is an ATM there. - Everything was very clean, and there was plenty of towels (we usually don't use hotel towels but here we did) We would recommend this place
- Mattress and pillows were smelling on mold even though it looked new so we had to order several bed protectors and lay towels on top to make it tolerable for sleeping. We have heard from taxi driver that Tulum was flooded recently so I believe many hotels have similar problem. - WIFI signal was week or none in the room or on the patio so one more router would do the trick. - Thin walls; neighboring guests having intercourse seem like doing it right next to you. - Tiny windows are near ceiling so there was not much light.
Relatively new hotel on the beach front. Very friendly and helpful stuff and owners. Good coffee in the attached coffee shop. Spacious rooms.
It's clear that the owners are looking to reach "boutique hotel" feel, but at least in my room came short on a few things - not enough shelving and nowhere to hang cloths. In the bathroom you get just the sink to put all your toiletries on. I would consider adding a safe in every room and consider throwing in a simple breakfast. With these additions this hotel will be much more of a good value.
Clean place in a nice location with friendly, helpful staff. Would stay again.
No cross ventilation in my particular room. Wifi generally required to go to lobby or close for reception.
