It was in downtown location nice beach helpful staff
No security to public access, people wandering through disrupting relation, ,roof top sunset bar with no food available, ,beds hard and uncomfortable
Located on the Beach
The fact that I booked a balcony room with a Sea View and was told I could not have it because they were dbl rooms. So why offer it if that is the case? Also no offer of coffee in the morning we had to go on a hunt for it. The beach is very rocky which is not the Hotels fault so we spent our second day in Melaque which was absolutely beautiful, had more to offer and the beach was awesome. If we were to go back we would probably give Hotel Alondra a second chance, but spend our days at Melaque!
nice clean room , friendly staff, "club" facility on beach at our disposal. did not worry about room security. parking garage in basement. 24 hr hot water.
spacious & being on the beach with the sound of waves
we booked a room with 2 queen beds & were offered a small room with a king. were charged more for the room we had reserved. had to pay more for the room with 2 queens. noisy at night. men talking around the pool all hours. noise on street.
The view from the upstairs lounge was spectacular!
I found it expensive.
-Friendly staff. -Was where we wanted to stay in Bara. -Underground, secure parking for rental car. -Close to all shopping and amenities. -Room we had on the ocean side was quiet at night - just the sound of the surf to lull you to sleep. Put a small fridge in our room on request
-Initially assigned a substandard room for what we expected to get. Important to know that this hotel is divided into two buildings - the main, larger building is across the street from the water and the other building on the water is what you see in the ad. We were eventually re-assigned to water side area room for $5 more per night. -Earthquake damage still very apparent along waterfront. Buildings next to the hotel had collapsed into the sea and no apparent attempt by the government to clean it up yet. - The beach in Bara has changed (for a couple of reasons) over the years and is now quite steep. Not good for taking long walks.
The location was perfect. The views were amazing, especially sunset from the roof. A wide variety of food is available to suit all tastes.
The front desk was rude! When we arrived he barely spoke. He gave us a room without a view, and when we returned to the desk, he tried to say I did not reserve a room with a view. Thank goodness I had my copy of my reservation. In the morning when we checked out, my husband said good morning (in Spanish), and he completely ignored him. He was very unpleasant and unwelcoming. The beds are really hard as well.
