There was some construction going on next door, which was a little noisy in my room during the day, but I wasn't in my room much during daytime and it was quiet at night.
Small and well run by the super-friendly, helpful Miguel and Pico, La Querencia is a great choice if you want to stay in the quiet but funky Roma area, which has excellent restaurants and galleries. The hotel is only a couple of minutes from the nearest metro station and you can easily stroll to La Condesa, the Centro Storico or Bosque de Chapultepec in under 30 minutes.
The room was a decent size, quiet and with a comfy bed. The wifi was also great throughout. There are a couple of leafy terraces, including one on the roof, which is a nice place to relax b
Don't miss the tasty Mexican breakfast (a different dish each day, from quesadillas — but not as you know them! — to eggs with cactus), which also gives you the chance to pick the brains of Miguel and Pico on things to do and what to eat!
