Close to the beach in Playa del Carmen, this small hotel offers relaxing spa services, an enjoyable outdoor pool and access to the services at a nearby beach club. Guests at La Tortuga Hotel & Spa will enjoy the beautiful beach and free use of lounge chairs and beach umbrellas at Mamita's Beach Club. After a swim, guests can soak up the sun on the beach with a drink. In the evening the beach club's lounge area is a great place to relax in a hammock and listen to music. El Bistro restaurant at the Tortuga Hotel serves breakfast every morning. Guests can lounge in their room and order room service, then feel pampered with a Mayan spa treatment in the Itzá Spa. The staff at La Tortuga were absolutely lovely and more than happy to help at any opportunity. The hotel is in a very central location, which is great. But this also means it is very noisy in the rooms. We were kept awake on a couple of occasions by loud music and general street noise.

Room tired, not thoroughly cleaned and with extremely small window; receptionist, who refused to assist making a phone call, was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional (she was drinking red wine while on duty).

This great hotel is the best you can find for this price range in Playa Del Carmen! The staff was great and really willing to assist with any question you might have, and always with a smile. The rooms are very nice and clean (although they seem a little old). The hotel is generally kept in a very good condition by the nice staff. Enjoy the special pool and nice bar to escape the noise and chaos of the 5th avenue, which is right around the corner! bottom line-highly recommended! We had to ask the reception to take care of a phone-ringing nonstop in a room next to ours (a kind of an office). Also, the AC was noisy and sure could use gas refill.

Very friendly staff and the place was beautiful in every way. Only one thing the room we stayed in room 117 was noisy from the night club just two doors down the road (coco bongo !)

The staff were amazing and the hotel was beautifully decorated, having an authentic Mexican feel while being modern and with little touches of luxury. I would stay here again if I return to Playa del Carmen.

Great Staff! Great Restaurant! Beautiful Place! Great location for shopping, but a little pricey for not being on the beach! Advice: Bring your on pillow!

I highly recommend La Tortuga - the service is beyond excellent. Everyone that works there is amazing - so nice and incredibly accommodating and helpful. We had a wonderful stay there and I would definitely go back!

El trato del personal,su disenio,su tranquilidad,su ubicacion. El mamitas club(lugar de playa que te ofrece el hotel) no es recomendable para personas que busquen una playa tranquila(musica alto volumen todo el dia).

Bon hotel très bien situé, personnel super cool... Prix un peu élevé mais la beauté de l'hotel et son romantisme compense très bien... Réservez les yeux fermés mais à l'accueil demander à ne pas être dans les chambres qui donne sur la rue principale car très bruyante une boite de nuit est à 100 metres et les gens font du bruit en sortant la nuit sinon rien à dire perfecto ernesto lol

La Tortuga är ett toppenställe. Rent, snyggt och lugnt. Personalen är väldigt trevlig och frukost och mat är väldigt gott. åKer jag hit igen, bokar jag gärna detta hotell igen.

¡Todo! La acogida cálida, el trato sonriente, las habitaciones comodísimas, las camas enormes, los baños lujosos, la piscina refrescante, el hot-tub relajante, el desayuno generoso, y los cocteles deliciosos. En resumén, todo ha sido absolutamente maravilloso, y más que razonable en cuestión de precio, por lo que no tengo duda sobre dónde me quedaré la próxima vez que visito Playa: La Tortuga Hotel & Spa. Sólo que me tengo que marchar...

Excelente hotel, muito confortável e bem decorado. Os funcionários são muito muito atenciosos e prestativos, a limpeza e conservação são exemplares. A localização é excelente, muito próximo à Quinta Avenida para sair para jantar, mas sem barulho ou agitação que atrapalharia nosso descanso. Recomendamos com certeza ! O estacionamento do hotel é terceirizado e custa us$ 10 por dia.

La alberca es muy bonita y permite nadar en el circuito que tiene, aunque solo para personas que nadan bien.Los cuartos estan bastante bien, pero falta ventilación en el baño, y la decoración es preciosa y muy sugestiva. Excelente recepción con el detalle de arreglo de la cama y la Champaña. Debe de mejorarse la ventilación de los baños.

Excelente relação custo x beneficio. O hotel é mais bonito que nas fotos. Ambiente charmoso, confortável e tranquilqo. Excelente localização. Funcionários atenciosos. Restaurante do hotel muito bom.
