Located just 50 yards from a white-sand beach outside of Tulum, this bright hotel features tropical style décor, free breakfast and free Wi-Fi. It is just 3 miles from the Mayan ruins.
Score from 139 reviews Excellent
the Location is beautiful, the cabana's are comfy and right on the beach. The Complimentary breakfast was very tasty! I can't wait to go back!
Probably one of the best places to stay in Tulum if you want direct access to the beach. The Italian restaurant is quite good. The staff was helpful.
The cabins are adequate except for the lighting (bring a flashlight). A mosquito net for the bed would have been nice. Wifi is only available inside the restaurant.
Most incredible food. Enjoyed lying in the hammock overlooking the ocean. Lovely staff who make the stay more enjoyable.
It's quite has an amazing restaurant and reception and the veiw is amazing from your bungalow it truly has a buetiful feel about this place
Excellent location right on a paradise beach! Beautiful view from the terrace. Nice staff.
Our room was quite small, dark and noisy and without air condition, but with the fan, this was ok.
Right down the street from the Tulum ruins. The view from the room was spectacular. Great spot on the beach. Price was very reasonable.
No concierge to help plan tours. Reception was some what helpful with this but could have been better.
The beach was fantastic and the hotel is located just 30 minutes relaxing beach walk from absolutely incredible Tulum ruins
Value for money is questionable - for quite a big sum you get a hut w/o conditioner with a broken anti-moskito net on a territory full of sand, with salty water running from a shower
The location was fantastic. Great beach, not crowded, quick ride to town or to the more congested hotel zone with more restaurants and bars. Friendly and mostly helpful staff. Our bungalow was a little run down (especially the bathroom) but comfortable and clean. The best features are the location and value for the price.
The restaurant was not good - both food and interior ambiance. I wouldn't recommend eating there aside from the included breakfast which was OK.
Staff are friendly and helpful, facilities are clean, family oriented, and more than adequate. This is the best part of the beach on the entire coast. Lavita has it all, and you would pay a lot more for a lot less at any other resort. Tulum's hidden gem. The best of Mexico with an Italian flair. This was our fourth stay here, this time for 2 weeks. It's walking distance from both the ruins and the best beach restaurant at The Mezzanine. A short drive to Tulum for shopping and restaurants. If you're a travel snob, go to an all inclusive and eat their slop with the crowds. This place is a perfect getaway.
The beach is fantastic. Italian food is very good.
Mexican food is not real, too bad! The day visitors take over everything, bothersome for hotel guests.
The location and the staff.
The price. A bit expensive for a simple room but it's the beautiful beach you are paying for.
Great spot right on the beach. We had one of the beach front cabanas with porch, aircondition and "private beach", nice enough, but expensive! Reception staff was good, cleaning good. Very close to the Tulum ruins too.
A little out of the way from other dining possibilities! Restaurant staff was to much mexican pace. Kind of expensive compared to nice places 4-6 km further south on the beachroad.
The beach and view from room excellent
the location, the deck overlooking the sea, the room, the food and the restaurant atmosphere, the quietness! One improvement - a couple of comfortable chairs in the room with a reading light
Poor air con, room very small
It was a quiet retreat and just a pleasant stroll to the restaurant. We were advised to go to a restaurant in town that was just a rip-off
Garbage in the water, toilet seat not fixed properly after we asked; hot water for shower was just cool;
The beach was awesome, staff terrific, food excellent and the rooms were very clean. If you are looking for a vacation completely off grid you came to the right place...very relaxing
Location remote, no amenities such as coffee maker, tv, mini fridge.
Quiet, peaceful, calm waters, beautiful beach, friendly staff, on-site restaurant is good.
Security of the cabanas could be improved (but storing valuables at the front desk was relatively easy and the staff are friendly).
Beautiful location. The beach is amazing.
The location is 10min out of town so you are stuck eating at their restaurant and others on the beach if you don't want to take a cab. The hotel is over priced for what it is, but the entire beach area is overpriced. Restaurant is average food at ridiculous prices.
Right on the beach, beautiful spot on the beach, close to the ruins,. Bedrooms are kept spotless although you should still be aware you are in the jungle but don't let that hold you back
The main selling point of this accommodation is the fact that the cabanas are situated right on the beach. Waking up in the morning and being able to see/ hear the sea was really nice. Rooms were nice, if a little dark. Not overly spacious but with the beach 30 seconds away the rooms were only used for sleeping in. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was reasonably tasty. Although breakfast was average the lunch items I tried (Pizza & Club sandwich) were both really nice.
The location was a bit remote so of an evening we had to get a short taxi in to town or further down the beach.
The quietness of the beach and hotel
The damp smell in the room and the lack if lamps - one couldn't read in bed.
Incredibly overpriced and outdated poor quality accomodation. Would pay about 10 dollars a night for such a place in Thailand. 2 star rating for the suites (did not stay in the bungalows). Also got food poisoning.
The beach was stunning and the water fantastic. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the wait staff attentive. The room was comfortable but had some issues. It's very conveniently located to the supermarket, convenience stores, gas and ruins.
There was great difficulty using the keys to get in and out of the rooms. There was no hot water and there was a power outage that lasted through the night so we couldn't use the AC. However, opening the windows allowed wonderful cross ventilation. There was also no place to wash off sand.
