Amazing location with turtles nesting on beach at night. Very peaceful. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Water choppy most days therefore unable to snorkel off beach however only short walk to akumal bay.
Excellent apartment and sea views from balcony. Very spacious and clean. Each day during our stay sea turtles coming ashore in the evening ! Breakfast included, not the best ever, simple but ok.
sea too shallow for convenient snorkling in front of Las Villas Akumal. You need water shoes. We spotted not as may fish as more south near Mahahual
The villa we rented was beautifully kept. It had a well equiped kitchen, good size bedrooms and a large balcony where one could enjoy coffee watching the sunrise in the morning.
Very private and romantic beach. Huge villas. Amazing views from the villas. Right on the beach. I stayed with my boyfriend but 2 or even 3 couples will have a good stay in 1 villa.
It was raining on our last night and it was leaking everywhere in the villa. Our bed, the bathroom and more places had leaks. Luckily there was an another room so we slept there and there was an extra bathroom. They should definitely fix their villas and make it appropriate for rain since it is a very rainy region.
Rooms are big, the view is great, it's quiet, close to tulum. Excellent service.
The beds weren't the most comfortable. Wished there was a more established bar.
I enjoyed the clean quiet. Nice staff. Reasonably priced.
It was pretty isolated.
Suite was great, well maintained, watersupply in room, nice swimmingpool and beach shower. Personnel very attentive. We experienced the 20 minute walk along the beach to Akumal centre as enjoyable, not as inconvienient.
Breakfast buffet was not in line with expectancies, not luxues at all. We had very windy days, so the sea water was not clear enough to see turtles, we only saw them the last day of our stay.
Very nice place and rooms. Friendly staf and good Breakfast!
No terras on the garden view rooms.
Beautiful and comfortable room. Great beach location and friendly and helpful staff.
Everything about the resort was excellent. Having a beach to yourself was so relaxing and fantastic snorkelling in Akumal is an absolute must.
Resort should offer something to eat in the evening.
Very friendly staff, large, lovely apartments with tasteful decoration and comfortable beds, excellent cleaners.
Wifi broke down completely for several hours over several days; there were two blackouts over two days and no generators. As I had to do some important work on this holiday, I unfortunately had to move to a hotel with more secure wifi. Very noisy cistern made sleeping difficult. We were first placed under the restaurant, which also made things very noisy in the morning (it opens at 6am).
We upgraded I an oceanview as they are far superiour apartments do my review is based as such. (please note that it is my opinion that the garden view rooms are not at all wirth the price asked) The villa is amazing, very spacious and comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for. Nice beach (rocky entrance but hey) with comfy sun lounges.
Wifi in the villa did not work. The communal wifi worked in most but not all areas of the villa.
The garden view room was big and super clean, all the kitchen appliances where spotless. Liz was very efficient and helped us as soon as I told her I had a little problem. Big bathroom with a nice powerful shower. WIFI worked perfect. Bed was comfy. Nice resting area very useful for a rainy day. I got a free snorkelling gear for a week. Free kayaks. Plenty of resting chairs. Clean and lovely temperature in the swimming pool. 10 mins walking to the main Akumal beach. I loved it and I'll be back!
It rained a lot and outside my room I had a small 'funny' smell. I didn't have a space where to hang my wet swimming clothes, if I chose to not to wash my bath towels I had not much room left to dry everything off, maybe it's a good idea to have a communal area to dry our clothes when you don't have a Villa with a terrace and it rains everyday. If you are Mexican with pesos, I'll like to see the fair in the local currency.
Beach access, gardens and greenery, wildlife, views, kayaks and snorkelling gear and shoes made available.
poor breakfast selection included in room rate which was expensive: no eggs, cheese, meat, choice of juice or muesli - all were for extra payment so poor value.
Very nice room Good facilities in the hotel
The coral reef is as good as death The 'free to borrow' snorkling-gear is only very limited available (quantity-wise)
Beach had coral reef right up to shoreline. Very poor for swimming. Had to wear beach shoes and walk to far end of beach for a very small entrance to water. Sand was very coarse and beach at a steeper angle. We love to swim, but this is not the place for it. We checked out early.
