The location was good, right in the heart of the action. The air con worked well, the fan didn't work but it was fixed. The upper floor rooms were great with a nice outside patio area.
The fridge leaked water and froze most items. The downstairs room was terrible...no windows and wouldn't stay there more than 1 night. The manager tried to charge an additional 5% for using paypal when this had not been mentioned in previous correspondence nor was it charged on my deposit.
location covered community veranda community kitchen area close proximity to grocery store and restaurants
Bed to hard after 3 days- not so good for person with back injury Leaking refrigerator, water was somewhat hazardous on the floor. Ceiling fan not operational after 2nd night. Main overhead light when out as well after 2nd day.
The proximity to the beach and the restaurants was great. Very basic but adequate room for the money.
The loud music from the surrounding night clubs was terrible, but expected based on other reviews. Good earplugs are a must. Also would recommend the upstairs room as downstairs with no windows is claustophobic.
toilet in the room is open without walls surrounding the WC!! small room noisy not recommended at all for the price
Great location. Large studio. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Good wifi. Kitchen was amazing. Hot water in shower. Great staff. Can't wait to come back!!!
Pillows were not great.
Easy to find, friendly staff, a (genuine) two minute walk to the beach.
The neighbouring bars are a little noisy with their loud, live music, but this stops before midnight.
Location Kitchen facilities Common Area Good shower Safe Box
Wifi didn't work Security light was too bright and couldn't turn off Bed wasn't very comfortable No fresh air flow, just loud fan
Very friendly and helpful staff Goof location, good facilities nearby (restaurant, market)
Noise from street music: very loud and annoying especially if you are jetlagged
The room was clean
The smell of the room, mold
location hot shower clean Teresa... friendly &helpful
units on lower level are poor compared to upper level common area less than minimal - shared a table/kitchen with 3 other units including a family of 4 room was dark & dank lower level rooms (7-10) do not have amenities of upper level
I came here as a solo traveler and was arriving to Cancun around 1030pm and hoping to make the last ferry. The woman waited for me to arrive on the last ferry at midnight to check me in (they normally don't check in past 10pm). The AC is cold, the shower is very hot, there is a lock box and having a fridge was great. I was in room #1. I would have stayed the whole trip here but they were booked my last 2 nights. It is in a perfect location, right in the corner or Hidalgo (main strip) and a few min walk to North Beach
Location is close to all restaurants, bars and golf cart hire etc .. Center of town. Cozy place and you are made to feel very welcome. A short walk to the ferry.
Not a problem for me but some may not like the music from adjoining establishment, I sat on the patio and enjoyed it ... Finished at 11pm.
The hotel is in a great location and close to everything. Two minute walk to beach. Gunther was friendly and helpful. We spent the first night in room 2 but the bed was too soft. We moved to room 8 for the next 2 nights and it was great. Kitchen was handy.
There were no negatives.
Cheap and clean close to north beach.
A bit loud at night.
friendly staff, location, price, room layout
size of safe
It was just what we wanted which was somewhere to chill out with the choice of cooking and gotta love that aircon after walking around in the heat. Good space for 2 people. We got a room on the second floor which was the better rooms, I think. There are four upstairs. We could hear the music that everyone talks about but it wasn't that bad once you closed the door and put the aircon on. Although if you like it really quiet, I would suggest some earplugs to completely block it out. It only went until maybe 11pm or 12 most nights which is when we came home and fridays and saturdays it was maybe until 2am. Didn't bother us and we stayed 1 week. Maybe 2 weeks might be a bit much though.
this quaint hotel was clean, comfy, and safe! we stayed on the bottom floor room 10- had a great entrance door with a unique locking bolt. right in the middle of the busiest area. anything you need was right outside your door! I wouldn't change a thing, had the best time!will be back next year!
Shared kitchen was spotless. Room had its own fridge, microwave, blender & toaster. Family owned with friendly service.
Decent location. Comfortable digs. Watch your head when heading for the back rooms.
Location is good. Internet was fast. Cheap but good value for price.
Internet went down a few times and there were some dead zones. When it worked, it was quite fast.
Big rooms with a microwave and even a blender (which was a first on our four-month Central America trip). It's very centrally located, you can easily walk here from the ferry docks.
The wifi didn't reach our room at the end of the building. I suppose it's okay at the rooms nearer to the street. Also, if you like to sleep early, the karaoke and live music nearby may keep you awake until about midnight. The fan can help drown out some of this noise. It wasn't a dealbreaker for us – in fact, we extended our stay a few times!
Excellent location, extremely cheap and the wifi was the best of all the places I've travelled to.
A little bit of a language barrier at the front desk but that was easily worked past.
They do not take credit cards for any portion of the cost of the room. They will demand 50 peso or take your Passport. Which I did not like to give them or they will not give you the room and fear if you did anything at all you maybe charged or worst kept the passport. The rate kept changing with additional tax not showing at the time of booking
Location, was really close to beach, and was relatively cheap. The owner has a scooter shop, and has cheap (brand new) scooters. TV had 3+ english channels. American owner was helpful.
We requested double bed, and they only gave us 2x singles. Owner asked staff to put beds together with a top sheet, but never did. No big deal really.
The room was nice and clean. The location is very good.
The wifi was very weak. An other room was under construction so all the day we had alot of building noise. In the price they charged we could stay in a hotel closer to the main street and include breakfast.
