The hotel only gave you two small towels. It would have been helpful to have a pool towel also, but maybe you had to ask for these. On the first day, one of my towels had stains on it, as did the sheets on one of the beds.
The pool area would be improved by having some matting around, as otherwise the areas nearby got very wet and slippery, and also the stairs became muddy.
The shower has two tap handles to control the shower head. On the first day, both taps ran very hot water, and I was unable to make it cooler, even trying each tap by itself. The second day I just used one tap, and the shower temperature was better.
Overall I found the hotel quite noisy, with noise from the street and guests coming and going most of the night. Ear plugs are useful.
The reception could be improved by providing maps of the town, as they didn't have these when we asked.
Hotel Marlon had a good location - only a few minutes walk to the waterfront and the shopping street. It had a pool, and free wifi (although this only worked intermittently). The restaurant next door serves a nice breakfast. Aircon in the room was a bit noisy, but worked well. Price reasonable.
