North Beach with beach loungers Staff Rooms Jacuzzi Breakfast on terrace
+location at the most amazing beach +nice rooms +great reastaurant at the beach +Isla Mujeres is great to spend holidays,
Great spot on Isla, but rooms were a little unlovable and dark. Wish they were true beach front and not 100 feet back. Restaurant was kind of lackluster with not a ton of energy or attentive staff. Considering options, it's a nice place to stay on the island and yoga across the street was wonderful. But it's not exactly paradise.
Restaurant, rooms lacked charm.
I love this hotel. Everything was great. The staff was excellent and the beach is world class.
there is absolutely nothing that I could complain about
Very nice location at the wonderful, well cleaned Playa Norte. spacious appartments, delicous breakfast.
Beach view from our appartment was blocked by our private plunge pool (which wasn't really a necessary feature given the close proximity to hotel pool and beach)
Heavenly beach just a stonethrow from our front-row sea view room. 5 minutes walk from the center. Good food at the restaurant.
Restaurant staff was extremely slow and not very professional. High 15% obligatory tipping.
we have been in the hotel for tree nights the room was nice the balcony was the highlight of isla but there are only 3-4 rooms with
except this everything was not good for the price. i couldn't belive but there are not hot whater in the room!! and whan i go to the recipt to complain they gave me an American breakfast that the difrence is an agg thean the kontinental breakfast that incloud only coffe bread and some fruits and if you what more glass of coffe you need to pay!! i have been in hotel for 40$ per night and i drink how much cofee I wanted!! after I complain i havent recived hot water. the most trouble thing is that at the end when i come to pay they converted the dollar per pesos for 13 while the real price was 11 maximum.
gerat view and access to the beach
We booked suite with a plunge pool the pool In fact, was stupid and looked more like a big bath , we did not get into it all the four days we were there , the breakfasts are also very disappointing and not appropriate for the high price we paid for the suite . The suite itself was relatively large , but both she and the outdor terace looked relatively simple compared to the price paid and the images published . Another surprise is wating for anyone expecting a hot shower at the end of the day...
Location, restaurant, beach and rooms are all very good.
Felt a little bit overpriced: Aircon either on "full" or "off", no phones in rooms for contacting reception (which was often unmanned), roof leaked a little bit during heavy rainfall. None of these would be issues if it weren't for the price, which seems to be based mainly on location.
Awesome location right on playa Norte.
We didn't have hot water until the third day, it was wet and pretty miserable for the first few days so needed the hot water. Breakfast was pretty average too for the money you would expect to get a little more than warm Bread and day old fruit. Facilities are definately a little tired and in need for a little update. We stayed here five years ago when it was much much cheaper. Facilities have not really changed since then so don't know what we are paying all that extra money for. We still enjoyed our stay as the location is unbeatable, just a few things let this accommodation down.
They have the best beach and beautiful room with a simple design right on the beach, if the watter in the shower were hotter it would have been the perfect hotel.
Hotel is on the best beach on the island with amazing views. Restaurant food and drinks were excellent. Restaurant put together a special dinner for us on the beach at night- incredible !
The restaurant and bar of the hotel has separate billing. Annoying to have to pay for each meal and drinks at a time instead of putting on hotel room or keeping a tab until departure.
The location of this hotel is brilliant, right at the top of Playa Norte, with a beautiful beach, great swimming and easy access to all the beach bars and restaurants and also the main town. There is a restaurant and bar right on the beach and a swimming pool and hot tub across the road.
The hotel is in dire need of a refurbishment and everything seems tired. We stayed in an ocean view suite and, although spacious, it was very basic accommodation. There was no hot water in the shower, it never got beyond lukewarm. The hotel staff - apart from one female receptionist - were really unfriendly, seemed uneducated and were largely unhelpful and inattentive, especially in the restaurant. The waiters all seemed like they'd rather not be there. The complimentary breakfast was awful: stale bread and cheap coffee every morning - we stopped eating it after day two. Overall given the price point, a disappointing stay.
loved the location
Clean, quite, good price.
No where to hang stuff to dry. Door was flimsy, door latch didn't work properly - not very secure !
Location, beach, room are perfect. Ambient is nice Clean and comfortable. Good choice for a right price Restaurant on the beach is good and serves good food for reasonable price
Restaurant staff is not friendly (it's not part of the hotel, but is where you stay on the beach and have breakfast) Wifi could be improved and extended to rooms
Hotel and beach are absolutely gorgeous. The pools are across the street, but that is fine. Breakfast in a beautiful location.
The beach is not crowded, but there are tens of boats and yachts clustered 30m from the beach line with loud party music - really a bad development for Isla Mujeres. W-lan only at the lobby.
Hotel on a fabulous beach.rooms large.staff pleasant and attentive and very helpful especially Jonathan at reception.
This hotel has a beach club right next door .it does not belong to nabalam we were given room 12 ground floor on a block of 4'at 6pm music with huge speakers played out. Until pass midnight our Roman was like being in a night club people were screaming. And shouting. All the club goers arrive in golf carts. We complained the next morning and got room2' we heard no noise from room that or the next night.although the noise from the club was blasting out on the beach all day.this is a,shame anyone wanting a relaxing holiday should not go here and certainly not rooms.10.12 14 16 unless of course you are 17/25 don't be misled even if you have poolside room you will be very close to this club called the fenit.
Our stay at Nabalam was wonderful. It would be hard to find a nicer beach anywhere. The staff was great and accomodations very comfortable. Got an amazing massage right on the beach-perfect!
Honestly can't think if anything we really didn't like about it.
Clean and comfortable room with a hammock, excellent beach, walking distance from the adorable town, and extremely helpful and friendly staff!
I only stayed one night, I'll have to stay more next time :)
The surroundings are beautiful of course - the sea (though there is a stench of sewage getting in to the sea), sand and sun. The room was perfectly pleasant.
We paid nearly £200 for ONE night in a suite, ocean view with plunge pool and breakfast. The staff were unfriendly - no help with our bags and very huffy. Be warned - they take a "$200 security deposit" - this actually turned out to be $500 and is taken out of your account and refunded - we are still waiting for that. If you ask questions why expect to get a rude, irritable answer 'if you trash the room'. OK. There were building works going on all over the resort - banging, workmen, cordoned off areas, wet cement...and next to our room a restaurant with live band playing salsa music. When we asked reception what the deal was with all that, we were told - it will finish at 6pm. Lucky we didn't want to relax in our room or private pool area. They neglected to mention the workmen start up again at 7.45am. Breakfast is incredibly ungenerous - a fruit plate, OJ, coffee and bread. Yeah - that's it! Also, our plunge pool was filthy and needed cleaning. It was greatly disappointing to have booked this for the last night of our holiday - we wanted to relax and indulge and instead it was all a bit of a headache. And we are still waiting for our money to be given back to us. The website is incredibly misleading and to be honest, I wouldn't stay here again. They knocked off some of the costs for the building works but save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere. A real pity :(
The beach is beautiful. Turquoise, clear ocean water; we walked at least 600 yards into the ocean. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
If you are visiting for luxury hotel- you'll miss the boat. If you're visiting for tranquil, breathtaking beauty of the beach/ocean, then you are at the right place.
Beautiful grounds. The rooms are very bare bones, so if you want lots of ammenities, than this is not the place for you.
Our shower head wasn't working well and the drain wasn't draining adequately. They fixed the problem immediately. I would like more hooks to dry things in the room (bathing suits, towels, etc). The sliding door to the room had big gaps which isn't very efficient (energy-wise).
Both the beach and the hotel are the best on the island. Nabalam captures the essence of Isla Mujeres at its best. The workers are friendly, accommodating and very honest. We have been returning to Nabalam for years and are always completely happy with our stay there.
Nothing. It is perfect as it is. It is the quintessential small island vacation hotel!
