Staffs is helpful
The bed on the small room is veryyy uncomfortable just like sleep on top of a hard spring
- small/familiar site but still anough privacy, only a few steps to the beautiful beach - very good for relaxing a few days - very nice and caring people - the double room was huge, always clean and well equipped with everything you needed - yes the tap water is salty but I don't understand why people make that a negative thing, as the hotel provides bottled water to e.g. brush your teeth - beach restaurant, good value for money, keep in mind every hotel and restaurant in the hotel zone is a bit more expensive than in downtown - we were absolutely happy with our stay at OM and I was surprised that the room looked excately as on the pictures as usually the picture look better..
- located in the hotel area so it's a few kilometers to downtown so that you'll have to take a taxi for 100-150 mxn one way (depending on your negotiation skills) or rent a bike for approx 240 mxn per bike and day (rental companies along the road) / it's not necessarily a negative thing if you only want to enjoy the beach for a few days and only go to downtown one or twice
The lighting in the room was so low it would have been impossible to read. There was very little shelf or closet space to unpack clothes. All of the window shades didn't function and the sun came up at 5:30.
Staff was all friendlyand professional.
Blankets were not provided and it was freezing. Also the bar staff was under staffed so the service was slow.
Location was good, situated amongst more upscale places. Diego was an excellent host and very friendly. The restaurant was quaint and good views. Portions for meals were large. Rooms had air conditioning.
Rooms were overly rustic and looked unfinished. Shower was not good.
Fantastic location direct on the beach! Very nice rooms
Quote far from the town Restaurant and bar quite expensive
Room was large and air conditioned with two queen sized beds. Provided refreshing drinks upon check in and breakfast was decent. Slightly pricey but this is Tulum after all!
Sometimes air conditoner would just shut off. Lots of bugs and Mosquitos but netting is provided.
Very very good food compared to other places in the same trip.
Air-con available at limited period of time.
Love the atmosphere
Food was horrible.
Great location, food was good
This place has probably not had any money put back into it for years it's very run down, no where to get a coffee in the morning, advertise AC but they only switch it on from 8 at night and gies off again in the night, happy hour does not include beer! One lumpy pillow and matresses need replacing, for 120usd Inc tax per night in low season you can find a lot better along this beautiful beach.
The staff of Diego, Joli, Isabel, Raquel, and others whose names I do not recall, were wonderful. They provided a welcoming energy unsurpassed. The restaurant was excellent. The selections, taste, presentation, portions and service, were exactly what we desired. Location was terrific.
Location Restaurant Quiet Shower
Lack of overall cleanliness Dirt mirror Towels musty Pillows lumpy and old Mattresses not that great
Location is amazing
Staff did nothing about noise from next door!
Conscientious cleaning/grounds staff. Excellent location on the beach.
Very incompetent management. Hotel staff and waiters were generally dismissive and unresponsive (with exception of two staff called Francesco and Julia). No electricity from 2AM-8AM, no hot water, poor quality amenities-stained bedsheets, torn mosquito nets, inconsistent towels (sometimes only got hand towels and not bathing towels, other times, the opposite), no hooks for clothes, no toilet roll holder, and very poor quality bed in room #2
quiet place and, close to the beach.
room was dark
Location, setting, staff was definitely nice and helpful.
Definitely got hosed a bit on the rate because although it was the high season, Tulum seemed to be hurting during the holidays.
OM cabanas is a small and cosy place. Located near the end of the playa road, It is a 10 rooms only resort. Quiet and Peaceful. Rooms were really beautiful but were not facing beach. But it is a not a problem here. Staff was always helpful and friendly and they offer free coffee. Didn't have the chance to try the food really.Good options for snorkeling and scuba diving.
Nothing really. Would have been a plus if the breakfast was included.
I loved the food, everything was fresh and delicious; the ambient was also great, with guest musicians playing at the restaurant. The cabanas were also pretty good, with both fans and air conditioners as well as two beds each, ideal for families to stay together. The beach is the best part though, it's so clean and the water is crystal clear; the beach chair is literally the only chair that I'll remember for the rest of my life.
The location, it's a somewhat long drive... but that applies for every hotel in the area, so it really doesn't matter.
great staff, good food and perfect beach!
food is a little overpriced, shower only salty water, but that's part of the beach experience I guess:)
