The lady at the reception desk was extremele rude!
Room was OK, Nice pool and the Breakfast Buffet just fabulous....
Front Desk make us wait for over 2 hours to give us a room arguing that they never receive my Booking reservation..There was also a problem with the rooms: they were not ready. So a lot of people was crowding the Lobby. I ended up paying more than the estimated price from Booking.com. We almost lost the wedding we were invited to participate that day...very unhappy customers. Thank you..
They gave am a fast pass for the border.
Their wifi wasn't working & they gave me a number to log in, knowing that it wasn't working. The check in was at 4pm when I reserved it to be at 1pm. The bathroom stalls in the lobby were so tight that my knees hit the door.
The hotel was extremely clean, modern, secure, and convenient location to everything.A beach day trip to Rosarito beach is only 25 minutes away by taking a yellow shuttle on the street behind hotel, with drop off across from hotel, only about 1.50 fare. The pool is great with a toddler pool for little ones,at night very pretty.
Check in is actually 3pm, not 1 like it states, though they do hold your luggage so you are free to explore or hang out at hotel while you wait.
Room was very clean, well appointed, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful in recommending a money exchange, a grocery store and a nearby taco stand. The pool area is well maintained. The food and drink prices were reasonable.
Poolside service was rather slow, but friendly.
Many places near by to eat.
Not having breakfast ready for 6 people, they charge me but we do not used services. can they credit amount. not having rooms ready only 2. we did check in at 11:30 om night.
Bed really comfortable, staff excellent, good location, good tv
Rooms are a bit small, they never went to do the room and pick up the plates from the room service we ordered
The bellboy was very courteous and helpful (they do work for tips)
I give this hotel two stars for the following reasons: 1. The women at the front desk were very unfriendly; they made us feel unwelcome right from the start. 2. We made reservations for two non-smoking rooms 3-4 weeks in advance, however, when we checked in we were given smoking rooms because “that's all there is available" we were told; although we specifically asked for non-smoking rooms when we made the reservation. The woman told us that "the reservation does not guarantee that you even get a room, so we could consider ourselves lucky to have smoking rooms". 3. The first thing we noticed on one of the rooms, the bathroom door was coming off the hinges; you had to lift the door by the door-knob in order to close it, then it would not stay closed because the lock did not have the bolt, just the knobs on both sides of the door. So in order to use the bathroom we had to jam the door closed by jamming a wad of tissue paper between the door and door-frame in order to keep the door closed. 4. There were two chairs in the room; one of them was broken. 5. We reported these issues immediately to the same person that checked us in, and then again the following day to another woman at the front desk, I also reported the issues to a woman that appear to be a housekeeping supervisor; I actually showed her the problem with the door, she took note and proceeded to report the issue to the maintenance crew. Again nothing happened to correct the problem. Later on, I reported the problem again to a maintenance crewman that happened to be by, I showed him the problem with the door; he apologized for the problem and said that he was working alone so he did not know if he would have time to fix it. By the time we checked out three days later the issue had not been corrected. 7. The safe was inoperable. 8. In the other room the toilet was plugged. 9.
Requested a balcony, because we got there a little late there was non available.. they gave it to someone else.
The room was very clean and the A.C. and T.V. did a great job. I was very pleased and surprise, because I know the hotel is probably as old as my husband, but is well kept. congratulations.
The AC stayed on
The staff was very accommodating. Most spoke English enough to help us. I speak enough Spanish to get by, but it was helpful when they spoke English. The restaurant was great and the bar was cool too. The bartenders are very friendly. The beer is ice cold. Our room was made daily and the shuttles brought us back to the San Ysidro border for free! The hotel has exclusive cabs for the guests which is convenient even though there is no shortage of cabs in Tijuana. All around it was an amazing experience. We were first timers in Tijuana, but I have no complaints.
Wifi was spotty in the room.
I appreciated getting upgraded to a King bed room when the first room was too noisy, and that I was able to have a mini-fridge and a clock brought to the room. I especially enjoyed soaking in the bath tub! When I bought a pineapple, someone in the restaurant kitchen kindly cut it into slices for me, as I had no kitchen knife in my room. I was also directed to 2 nice local restaurants that had excellent food and great prices.
People smoking out by the pool, and the noise of the city streets. It would have been nice to have a directory in the room with the location of the hotel's facilities, as well as a menu for the room service. I would also like to suggest the hotel use non-scented cleaning products and laundry detergent for sensitive patrons such as myself.
Customer service was excellent, all employees were more than willing to help us out. The private/vallet parking was nice- no need to worry about the car during the stay.
The shower head in the bathroom was horrible- only let out a little dribble of water and the temperature of the water was very finicky. A little expensive considering it's TJ...but over all a nice place to stay.
It was clean and nice
The shower the water doesn't flow right but you still can take a nice shower
I ONLY THING IS I WISH THE RECEPTIONEST WERE FRIENDLY
The food was excellent best in Mexico!!!!!!! Staff was very accommodating
the woman supervisor at the desk has a BIG personality problem is very lazy and ignores you and looks at you with discuss. BAD BAD no lie!!!!!!!!!!!!
The cleaning and maintenance staff only.
I have been staying at the hotel since 2009 and although I found it one of the best hotels for its price and comforts, during my last stay I was totally disappointed and do not intend to stay there again (I was told that the management of the hotel changed the last year). When I arrived instead of a welcome at the reception desk I was asked straight away how would I pay, cash or with a card. Then was given a room in sixth floor with nothing in the wardrobe (it was missing the safety box and all the shelves) and the window curtain was torn apart. So I was changed to another room on 7th floor, but to my surprise there was no hot water, so I had to wait half an hour for the personel to fix the problem and have a shower after a 36 hours trip from my home country to Tijuana. Furthermore, every afternoon I had to call the maintenance in order to get hot water in the room !! It also took them 2 days to find a mini fridge for the room, and only after I had complained to one of the directors there (the reception staff is generally useless and inefficient). It is a shame that such a nice hotel it used to be is now a neglected and definitely not a 5 star one.
Staff was friendly and helpful
You could hear when the next door room was showering , it was very unpleasant and loud, since we were very tired. Also the lights in the bathroom were working fine at night and not working at all in the morning so we had to shower with the lights off....
Good transportation; courtesy and friendliness; value for $; busy location!
Lots of traffic in the vicinity,-- but that's all part of being in the downtown area of a big city.
The staff was friendly and the buffet breakfast was great! The hotel was clean throughout. The bed was very comfortable. Great taxi service available, and the staff were most helpful when I needed information.
