There are better hotels in Tulum. The cheapest rooms are terrible.

We loved it here, it was a nice treat to end our holiday. The focus on relaxation and creativity is apparent, and while more suite to a romantic getaway, it was still nice for a group of friends.
24 April 2015
It smelled like sewage!! Anyway, It was worth a quarter of the price.
I guess if you want to pretend to slum, you should go here. Secluded beach and basic hut give asimple life feeling
18 April 2015
The tours arranged by the hotel were great but the prices were over-inflated, as you would expect for the area. $120 USD for a snorkelling trip was a bit extreme, although the guide, company and provided lunch was very good
Cabana had it's own walkway to the hotels private beach some 10 metres away. Beach and hotel kept impeccably clean Staff wonderful and friendly Food very fresh and tasty
18 April 2015
We didn't know there was a buffet breakfast available. They give you printed information when you check in but we didn't see anything about a breakfast until the last day we asked what people were doing.
Beach bed , towels, and palapas great. Staff was helpful, trusting, and there were no hassels. Grounds beautiful and well kept. Restaurant /bar good food good value great location. Clean bathrooms! Private beach.
16 April 2015
The room tariff far too expensive for what you get ! Food and beverage standard staff and food very inconsistent . The room was meant to be cleaned daily but this was also inconsistent !
The location was good . Quality massage but expensive ! The reception staff were all exceptional !

the accomodations and bad/lack of wi fi
new casitas, food,beach
13 April 2015
Restaurant served a couple of dodgy dishes and then insisted on charging full price for them - breakfast is expensive too Beach is rocky as soon as you are in water - and weedy

Staff weren't very helpful -
Great location, great set up, awesome beats at the bar/restaurant.
8 April 2015
Towards the end of our stay the sun bathing beds/ palapas were reserved. This was unfortunate because we felt we paid a nice amount of money and deserved to choose where to sit. The beds were taken. Also, carry extra cash/pesos - there CC machine kept breaking down.
Excellent customer service and accommodations even during unexpected situations. Absolutely recommended!

The lighting was unsifisant for reading. and it is just one of the few activities you can do during these long evenings. I was choked when asked to pay an extra for an addit fee for an additional cup of coffee and slice of bread at breakfast . For more than 200 € per night , breakfast should not be stingy. Our cabanas had no wooden terrasse, we had the feet in the dust and gravel
The location on the beach, the simple but elegant spirit of the Cabanas with a direct wiew on the Caribean sea

Slow service(island time?), LOUD and repeated music all the time!!! As my 13 year old said, its like a broken record of industry music. Salt/lake water for showers and the dirty beach wasn't kept.
I liked the overall feel of the design of the casitas and bar.

We stayed in one of the more basic cabanas and our bed was very uncomfortable. The wifi around the resort is a bit patchy.
The property is well located towards one end of the Tulum beach strip and is a very short taxi ride (longish walk) to the other hotels, bars and restaurants. The resort has everything you could need. The beach club is excellent with beds and parasols. The food is really good. The continental breakfast included with our room was simple but adequate.
27 March 2015
Restaurant not as good as some but there are so many other places to eat nearby this didn't bother us
Great location, beautiful spot, definitely one of the best places in Tulum as visited the others and didn't feel like we were missing out and were pleased to get back to where we were!
22 March 2015
Salt-water bathroom (shower+sink), no sockets in the room - for what you pay, the fit-out of the bungalows seems very scarce. The resort is supposed to be ecological, but diesel generators do not seem to be a very eco-friendly electricity alternative to us. We had an ocean-view room with bathroom which was about a 5-10 min walk through the resort to the beach club.
The beach club is very nice, though we could also have visited that one if we had stayed elsewhere. Wifi is OK in the beach club area. Nice experience to sleep right at the sea with thin walls where you can hear the waves all night :)

Increíble lugar, todo lindo y el servicio genial
15 March 2015
The shower water seemed to get all over our room. The room was supposed to have a safe but didn't. We couldn't close our front door without essentially deadbolting ourselves in.
We really liked the location of our cabana. Very close to the beach and secluded from the rest of the resort. Proximity to some quality restaurants was awesome.
13 March 2015
The facility is way overpriced given the lack of amenities. They pump the shower water straight from the sea so the shower is salt water, the bathrooms smell like sewage and the food is very expensive. No amenities and lacks comfort. Will not return.

10 March 2015
expensive for how rustic it was. lack of a plug socket in the room in 2015 and wifi was very poor
5 March 2015
Comfort of the room. Very cheap lighting in room No proper storage in room Not the best beach of Tulum: a lot of stones in water
The nice and preserved garden
5 March 2015
They crammed a lot of shabby bungalow into a small space and could not provide water for shower all the time or electricity for light or to charge a phone.
Long stretch of beach and the common bar area
3 March 2015
Service very poor and slow, rooms are very very basic, beds very springy, known issue with our room but no offer to rectify until we raised it with management
Location - right in the beach and close to great restaurants

The place is simply very badly managed and the staff is incompetent. We had booked an Ocean Front Bungalow with Bathroom - Air Conditioning for 7 nights. Upon arrival, we were informed that our room was not available for the first two nights (!)) and a "note" had been left for the receptionist to give us an "Ocean Front Bungalow with Bathroom" (which despite the name is a lot more different than just not having air conditioning) and we would get a $120 credit to be used in the hotel. For the record, $120 is the price difference between the room we had booked and the one we got so the management basically downgraded us and compensated us for the disagreement by not charging us the price of the room we had booked but the price of the room we would now be compelled to stay in. The $120 was not in cash either but was a credit toward the hotel amenities.(!) The management also gracefully gave us free continental breakfast ... which were already included in the booking.com reservation. When we explained how disappointing it is to learn about such downgrade only upon arrival despite having booked the accommodation many months earlier, the receptionist was clueless and kept on repeating that this was on the "note". Since no other room were available we had not choice but to move into that room I left of print of my credit card at the reception to be able to settle all consumptions at once upon check out, however throughout our stay, the staff kept on asking us to settle all consumptions on the spot and even chasing us to the beach when we did not do so. I had to go to the reception several days to check that the credit card print was fine and ask them to make sure it was clear to all staff and the answer was always that every thing is fine... Every morning when we went to get a continental breakfast, staff would ask us to sign a receipt.

Vibe is weird at this place and worst of all you get a shack for over $200! They ran out of beach towels, reception was not very welcoming! When we told them the air conditioner was not working and maintenance couldn't fix it there were no apologies and we're told we had to wait until the morning to talk with the manager. Awful! We stayed for one night, got our money refunded and moved on!
Management refunded us for the rest of our stay, but this was only after finding the right person to talk to. She was great! We were so happy to be out of that place!
