If you like noise this is the place ! Loud music until 0h and a generator out of you window for the suites with sea view. The manager who is a woman tried to help me hard to find a compromise. But or the bed was bad or i did not like the room. Such a shame as it is well situated and the hotel has a true potential...
Situation closed to all
Lokalization and beach
Mouse in the room rather dirty, expensive for this quality, Owner, or manager is rude. Swiming pool dirty!! Nobody swim in them. What for is that??.
Everything. Dirt everywhere, no towels, endless lies of the management. Horrible.
Great beach! Good prices, kept clean.
Sheets need replaced, property needs many upgrades, more towels provided, need A/C, TV, or radio
The bar and taco restaurant were fantastic but different operators to hotel and beach location was great
No staff present when we arrived, maintenance man then handled our arrival, put us in wrong room then put us in a larger room and then tried to charge us double the next day. Staff seemed very annoyed when we asked for towels and toilet paper.
Where is the smile?
The location was good, being on the beach.
The room was unclean, linen had stains, towels were old and stained. The bathroom had no hot water, and cold water had a bad odour. Restaraunt next door played music that kept us up until early hours. Staff couldn't speak English and were unwilling to help. This place was the second place we stayed at after deciding to extend our stay, we paid the same price to stay at parayso that we did the first place-thinking it would be on par-however it no where near.
The beach was beautiful tho my concrete dungeon was next to the noisy street. Hot water after 10 minutes (they don't want to waste energy on heating water, so they waste it on water. hot babes, beautiful beach.
Bed gave me backache. Waiting ten minutes for hot water. Noisy, near the street and generators. The sandy front yard was mostly small rocks . No light in the restaurant after 6....tiny candles, which is good that you can't see the food, since it sucked. The floor of my room was unpainted concrete, as was the toilet/shower, which left puddles of water to slip on rising from the john. No AC, just fans. No chair. Hooks were nails. This was advertised as a chalet with a sandy front. it was a concrete dungen and my bare feet hurt walking on the rocking sand. I seemed to be the only senior AND the only solo, as i was surrounded by young couples, many of whom smoked the cig. (Not prohibited). So this many smoke back home or is that they just smoke in public in Mexico. I didn't see one joint. Ziggy's down the street is charging $18 for a burger, and that doesn't count VAT and tip. The coffee booth and the taxi drive ripped me by claiming they had no change. Conclusion: tourist trap with gorgeous beaches (raked and seaweed buried by slave labor early in the morning).
View to ocean, location
Sheets and towels stained, cockroaches
The beach was fantastic and so was the taco stand near there. For what we paid, it was worth it and I would stay again.
We didn't end up with the room we booked and had been put in a room directly beside the busy road. Trucks woke us up every morning so I suggest you never take that room! I would imagine any other cabana at the place would be quieter. Otherwise, if you are planning on staying and you are on a budget, I say go for it.
The location and taco bar
The reception staff were a nightmare. They couldn't find our booking and when they did they charged us more than the amount on booking.com. They tried to change us three times the tax and didn't believe the price we had confirmed from booking.com!
The only thing, which is nice about this place is the good location, nothing else.
What we didn't like: Rooms were dirty and smelly, should be all renovated a long time ago! Almost all rooms we got had some problems Staff was not really helpful or just was not able to help. Nobody speaks languages in this "hotel", at a place like this, in the middle of Tulum, where a lot of tourist goes regularly. I think, that the hotel would need a new ownership or management, who cares about it and change personal and make a total renovation. They have a nice location, but it is not enough!:-( Overall, this hotel doesn't worth to be visited!
My room was the one with the best balcony, sea view, wonderful location, the beach is incredibly beautiful, the staff was very nice and the bar at the beach La Taqueria Eufemia makes your stay perfect. The bed is really good and comfortable! I definitely recommend Parayso to everyone because they are a family and they make u feel as u are part of their family.
The only thing that was annoying was the light that didn't work a couple of times, and the flushing didn't work for 2 days, this was due to the storm how ever they could had fix it faster in my opinion.
I Loved The Beach, The Sky, The Girls, My Room, The Moon, The oceanA
Food! I Can Eat Tacos In Mexico City, How Come There's Not A Single Shrimp In Q Roo!
We liked everything. Nature, price, beach, friendly staff like family , rooms , cleaning everyday on a high standart , VERY SECURE. Staff were very friendly since the beginning and we felt like family here. Very responsive to all our needs. Waking up in front of one of the best beaches in the world is priceless. Will definetely stay here again everytime we go to Tulum. RECOMMENDED.
Roll out of bed and straight into the water with the beach being your backyard. Delicious smoothies & fish tacos at the hotel bar! Best value. Great bar and very helpful staff. You don't need to look further. The cafe is awesome! Chavo is the best! Makes some pretty fun lunch options and is a great conversation in the morning with a solid cup of joe.
The baby turtles that we released at night in the beach (flora, fauna y cultura de Mexico monitor all nests and collect hatchlings to count and release) made it a very special stay. Even without that, it was a beautiful spot and I was really impressed that playa Tulum has been so nicely developed, all low rise with local materials and not an eyesore in sight despite it being such a tourist hotspot. The hotel was good value for money, and the beach taqueria was great too.
They moved our bags out of our room because we hadn't confirmed we were staying that night.
Great location. The restaurant is run by seperate people to the hotel and they were so friendly
The greeting we recieved upon arrival was so rude by all the staff. If I hadn't already paid I would have gone next door where the staff are lovely. We had free beach towels on the first day and then had to pay $5 for them because it was new policy from the owners mother. Tulum is beautiful but go to a different hotel, this one will take away the calmness of the area
Nice rooms overlooking the beach Good taco place and the bar on the beach
Impossibly soffocating rooms in the garden
Outside Facilities--beach, hammocks, chairs, taqueria, bar.
Tiny, dark staircase to third floor room.
Loved being right on the beach with a bar at your finger tips!!! :)
No hot water and no power during the night and how hot it got as we had no fan!!! :(
Beach was very nice/fun. Staff extremely friendly. Great places to eat close by. Chose third floor Jr suite which made the stay even better.
I loved the location of the hotel along with the taco stand and bar out in the beach. The taco stand staff was excellent, but the hotel staff were not. The stand also has the most affordable food along the beach, which also works out. There is no A/C in any of the rooms to include the suite. The cabanas are okay at night with the fan blowing directly on you. The suites are right on the water and allows you to receive a breeze at night. The price of the hotel is also the best along the beach.
The young male receptionist attempted to put my credit card number into the Google search engine. He claimed to have needed my card for verification, but instead, I caught him doing this. The owners were apparently in Vancouver. I had to walk behing the desk to see what he was doing and he deleted it. My fiance witnessed this as well. I believe he was trying to hold on to the card number ffor layer use. There were bed bugs in the cabana. The cabanas look awesome online, but there are plenty of holes and to allow for other bugs and mosquitos. The cabanas are unbearable during the day. In essence you spend most of your time out because it's so hot. Cleanliness is also poor. There are many stains on the sheets and pillow cases although they were "clean". This was pretty unsightly.
Beach is just amazing- we chose it for that. The bar staff were friendly and helpful, but otherwise........
Staff on reception hardly ever there and with minimal effort to help with any queries. We stayed in a 'cottage' which had barely any furniture and wasn't the cleanest; pretty dark and dingy, lack of working light-bulbs, toilet broke and we had to ask several times for it to get properly looked at...and we ended up fixing it anyway!! No mosquito screen on the door so you couldn't have the door open and the 'cottage' doesn't have any windows so was ridiculously unaired and hot! Lack of sockets, so once the two fans were plugged in there wasn't a spare socket. Pool was murky and you couldn't see the bottom. They state that breakfast is a 'possibility' but when asked, the standard reply was "it's cancelled". Definitely wouldn't stay there again, and wouldn't recommend it! Such a shame as the location and the beach is just wonderful...
We were first assigned to a room that was dingy, reeked of mold and had a cockroach running around in it. We complained and they moved us to an amazing, clean and much nicer room with an incredible view. The staff was kind and pleasant and the guy that ran the restaurant/bar outside the hotel was very welcoming and made great food & drinks. I'd definitely go back.
