Great pools, amazing and very attentive staff! Good food, nice beach facilities, and very comfortable mid-level rooms. Decent activities and entertainment. Overall I would certainly recommend as a mid price range resort!
No organic food options available. Could have more daytime activities or sports equipment. No gym or excercise room. No spa or steam room.
this hotel is clean and facilities well kept, I was happy with my room and the beach.
The food was terrible. I just don't think this hotel should be marketing itself as "all inclusive" - food/alcohol was limited to times/rules and the whole experience was a weird "adult school cafeteria" kind of vibe
The beach was only a few steps from my door, the food was pretty good, and there was daily entertainment and activities put on by the hotel staff.
Nice beach setting. Lucky to see a turtle laying eggs. Food was to a good standard.
Air-conditioning not very efficient. Some things need touching up around the edges.
The location is phenomenal and the rooms are air conditioned and clean, albeit small. Food receives a B+ in that it is quality products and mostly diverse options. The Italian Chef(s) is certainly qualified and successful in most of the dishes he creates.
It is hard to find any real complaints. The blue seascape is wonderful though it would be nice if the hotel staff would remove/transplant some of the sea grass immediate to the main beach so that you have more of a sandy shelf, as is obviously done at the ruins of Tulum beach. There the water has a nice open area, free of sea grass (probably due to all of the people tromping through there.
All. Food was fabulous!
Front desk should tell you to go outside gate to get taxi even though I requested him. They wouldn't let him to reception and we both waited 45 minutes on each other not knowing other was there waiting! That is my only dislike.
Nice room, helpful staff, great food, lovely beach
Location is such that you always need a car (rental car, private taxi or collectivo from main road) to visit surrounding places.
Exellent location, just 20 meter or so from your room to the beach. Friendly staff. Romantic place! Nice room, good bed and bathroom. Food was good and enough. Protected turtle eggs nests at the beach. Close to various touristic places and walking distance from a great cenote; go there!
Maybe not the ideal spot for a solo traveler, but i had a very pleasant time...
The property gardens, pools, bars, the rustic style and most of all the stuff. Julia the young Italian girl with curly short brown hair was fantastic! Also great food, better than we expected from an all inclusive!
Slightly further from tulum than the other resorts in the hotel zone. Poor internet access even in the areas where it is free.
Snorkeling, food is mainly italian, large and confortable rooms, room service, beach and diving center, free kayaking, walking distance from superb cenote
Music in the bar until late, need car to get to Tulum
The hotel has a beautiful and extremely quiet private beach. The food is nice, if you like seafood. The bar serves a variety of drinks which is nice. All in all, it's a great hotel, and definitely worth the price we paid.
The toilet had a bad smell, a bit suwagy... And if you don't arrive at the hotel with a vehicle, it's a shame because you will have to walk about 500 meters with your luggage on a filthy dirt road.
I was not expecting everything to be included in the price when I booked this Resort. I was astounded that every meal and all drinks were included. This was a wonderful surprise. The staff are wonderful and the venue clean and everything is well looked after. They have lots of activities available at no extra cost. This is a wonderful venue for families especially. I witnessed how they look after everyone. The Food was amazing so many choices. This place was certainly value for money.
Small all inclusive hotel, I liked the fact that it wasn't a massive resort. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice with big private balcony. Very nice and relaxing, beautiful beach area.
I asked for a quiet room, however got a very noisy one next to the evening show of the animation team, which was not of a very high quality which was for me really annoying as I came to this hotel to relax. wifi really bad quality, not in the rooms and hardly available at the lobby. Interesting buffet, you had to stand in line to order your food from the buffet instead of getting it yourself. Could be efficient in terms of cost saving and spoiling food, but still a bit strange.
I loved the location just in front of the beach. I liked the fact of not being a huge resort.
The staff could have been a little bit friendlier and willing to help.
Amazing location, very friendly staff and exceptional value for meals and the stay
The Pavo Real hotel is a hotel mainly focused for Italian tourism as the receptionist, cooker, fun and activity team, maître are all Italians. This small-medium sized hotel of 110 rooms, is located 500 meters away from the main road and 8 km from Tulum center and is totally the opposite side of the TULUM hotels area which means that if you have no car, you stay in the hotel and with the people of the hotel. Here are the good points of this hotel: 1. Good staff service, receptionists, cleaning staff 2. Good entertainment, the Italians make nice little shows in the evening, there is a good dancer in the team 3. Very clean hotel, nice gardens, very nice decoration of the rooms and nice colors of the buildings with flat screen tv, airco and ventilators, frigo with wooden terrace, nice swimming pools in front of the sea (very nice) 4. They give free water bottles, free towels 5. Nice private beach even if the best beach is the “paradise one” at 10 km away 6. The fish at the buffet is good 7. There is a free carpark
Less good points 1. Few election at the buffet, only 1 meat (pork or chicken), 1 fish, some pasta and salads 2. The all-inclusive is a bit poor because the food are the pastries of the breakfast and they put some pizzas and sandwiches 3. They should take out this Mexican night because the food is very bad 4. Internet is only in the lobby otherwise you pay so it means the lobby is crowded in the morning and evening Recommendations for tourists 1. Take an electricity adaptor 2. Take anti mosquitos spray and an anti light glass because light goes through the window at 06.00 am 3. Rent a car, otherwise you get stuck and it is easier and cheaper to go and visit around 4. Book your trips at the hotel diving center as it is cheaper than in the lobby Recommendations for hotel 1. Try to arrange the road between the main road and the hotel because it is very bad 2. Change this very bad Mexican dinner by a barbecue or something else 3. Charge automatically 1 Euro per day for internet and give access everywhere
Resort and beach were very nice. The food was good, however it's the same thing every day which can get boring after a few days.
The hotel is not located near anything else, this could be an issue if you don't have a car, and aren't content on relying on guided tours, or staying at the resort for your entire trip.
the rooms were well decorated and very comfortable. the beachfront location of the grounds is stunning.
the food left quite a bit to be desired.
The rooms were nice with your own balcony and we had direct access to the beach. The beach was really nice
The staff seemed more helpful towards Italians only. The food was sub par.
It is a quite hotel with wonderful beach and all inclusive amenities. Just a perfect place to relax. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.
the beaches are beautiful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. most of the food in the buffet was good and reception staff were very friendly. the massage guy is great and very reasonably priced!
it is VERY quiet so if you are looking to party I would not recommend. this is purely for relaxing/down time. as a group of singles we also found it hard to make friends as there are lots of couples! the bar did not open very late and hours of service seemed to change depending on how the bar staff felt on the day.
It was a good price for the all inclusive. Nice buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, lots of choice. Right on the beach and also had a nice pool and bar.
No wifi in the rooms and very slow in common area. The Mexican restaurant night wasn't great, better off just going to the buffet. Like the whole coast in that area there was rubbish in the sand dunes to the south of the resort, not their fault but probably could put in a bit of effort to clean it up.
Small all inclusive hotel, great beach, nice rooms.
Music played all the time by the beach and the selection was terrible. Food is more Italian than Mexican and not in a good way.
