Nose on the back street. Good luck trying to sleep! Tell 3AM. Mostly on the week end. No Hot water in shower. By mistake I check out a day early and NO one said a thing. When I called back they said its not up to us to tell you when to check out. They were not nice about it as well.
The location is good. Its clean and safe!
Its all a little old!
The breakfast was delicious, The cereal, yogourt, toast, fruit and coffee are out for you and if you ask they will make you an omlette.
The restaurant across the street can be very noisy at night.
The breakfast included
The room was about 2,5m x 4 m and the bed narrow. The Toilet and the shower was in the corridor for 10 rooms. The noise from the restaurant opposite of the street was terrible. From 6 o´ckloc pm until 2 o´clock am. This is not a hotel, this is a hostel or something else.
Convenient price friendly local clean good breakfast
+ location on the 5th avenue + pleasant stuff + yummy breakfast with lots of fruits + cheap
- wi-fi only in lobby
5 secs from main strip but not too noisy 15 min walk from (old) bus station (but we got a cab with our luggage for 60 pesos) Free breakfast (and eggs made to order if you want by a cool, whistling chef!) Water cooler with heating function available 24 hours 2 PCs with USB ports Small pool with loungers in the courtyard They let us check in early (and offered to hold our luggage if our room wasn't ready) Security man by the front desk They offer spanish lessons for a price. Heavy and secure safe with a key in the room.
Wifi was hit and miss, generally only worked (sometimes) in the communal areas or was very slow. Thin walls. Not allowed food or drink in the room which seemed a bit strange for a hostel. Could only get good service on one channel on the TV.
Noisy. Rooms are dark and very very small. Front office closes early and is closed on weekends.
The architecture was pretty, the staff was very helpful, and everything exceeded my expectations. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was good, and my room had a cute little balcony.
Since it is located right near the beach and the main tourist strip, there was noise and revelry outside until late. Bring earplugs if you want to sleep early.
Lovely helpful staff, very cool breakfast chef. Perfect location close to shops and bars if you're a party animal. Cosy bed, good size of the room, veeeeeery efficient AC (though a bit noisy), nice balcony facing the swimming-pool (room no 1), cute garden.
More hooks would be useful in the bathroom. Fridge a bit noisy. Also, noisy surroundings -- but hey, this is not the hotel's fault and this is the price to pay when you want to be in the heart of action! Wear earplugs and you'll be just fine.
Great location near beach at 5th Ave.Room was clean and comfortable. AC was cold and QUIET! Staff super friendly and breakfast was just right with made to order eggs..
The location and good value for money.
The Wi-Fi was not working most of the time. The rooms are small.
Staff is great, location is excellent!!
Noise from the surrounding bars. Although everything stops at 2 am so if you go back to the hotel there is no problem to sleep.
I had a great time at Playalingua del Caribe. Its location is excellent next to 5th avenue and only a few minutes away from the beach. The included breakfast was really good and the staff, even if not fluent in English, always tried to help and to make the stay perfect. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It's ideal for budget travellers and I definitely would come back to Playalingua if I come to Playa del Carmen again
Position, fresh fruit for breakfast, garden with amaca and piscina, every day make a new bed.
Bathroom not confortable and clean. AnD so small for Seat and close The door. Room with View in The corridor, always without light and where people passage.
The cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, the way you had a fresh towel and bed made everyday, the little quaint balcony and the breakfast made it good value for money.
The fatal hotel next door!
Good for the price.
The breakfast cocinero Juan is rude and treats customers very badly. It's too bad that the management allows this type of behavior. We would not come back to this hotel.
Сourtyard garden, unusual design, perfect location, nice staff.
Great staff. I arrived at 9am and they found me a room straight away despite that the normal check-in time is 3pm. The room had a fridge which is a great advantage in this climate. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
Rude staff who basically just said "yes whatever" to whatever was asked.
Great location, lovely staff. This hostel is also a language school so they do encourage you to try speaking Spanish to them, a brilliant idea, beautiful place!
Very small rooms
Not being clean.
Close to 5th Avenue with shops and restaurants.
Next door to a very loud disco that blasts from 9:00 pm until 2:00 am. Worst bed I've ever had--springs poking me all night. No staff around on weekends. Costs as much as a better location and facility. Cold, limited breakfast.
