the peaceful grounds
Comfortable and clean rooms, good sized pool, generally pleasant, safe feel.
Quite far from main strip, especially at night or in the heat of the day. The traffic on the small roads can be a bit hair-raising. Cabs are so cheap that this is easily overcome, though.
Quiet friendly stay just a short drive from the crazy beach scene. Best of both worlds
Beautiful property. Flexible staff. Great breakfast. Air conditioning.
The suite was very nice and clean and lovely decorated; we enjoyed the hammock in the patio as well as the swimming pool. The staff was super-friendly, and they even gave us a lift to the ruins. We definitely recommend this place!
Very helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful hotel. Relaxed vibe.
Quite far from the beach but fine if you don't mind cycling.
Very quaint and nicely kept hotel. Once you walked through the front doors, it was like you entered another world. The staff was very, very friendly. Great pool.
A bit off the beaten path and a little too far to walk to restaurants, etc., but that was fine for us because we had a car when we needed to venture out. We enjoyed the peace and quiet.
I liked the way they treated us - they helped us and most of them spoke english.
The locality is not the best - it is a bit far from the main street (which is also a good thing) and other services. So you will be mostly using taxi.
Our stay at Posada Yum Kin was excellent. It was fairly close to downtown. It may not be for everyone if you don't rent a car. But if you like walking, biking. and taking taxis, its a beautiful and lush oasis. The staff was excellent, they kept the rooms immaculate and Liz was friendly and helpful. The breakfast each morning was delicious with its fresh fruits and juices. It made the hotel a great value as we just had one meal out a day. The kitchens in each room makes it an even bigger value for families. Its a beautiful relaxing place. I miss it already! Karen and Adam.
This was our second year staying @ Posado Yum Kin. The staff is super friendly and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We checked in late and someone was waiting for us, and we were thoughtfully given the closest room to the entrance so that our late entrance wouldn't disturb any of the other guests. Breakfast is great and the pool is divine. What a great oasis in the otherwise busy, busy Tulum town!
There isn't anything that we didn't like about this hotel! Everything was so neat and tidy, and the staff is fantastic!
Beautiful little oasis just a 10 minute walk from Tulum centro. Room 9 was perfect for for a solo traveler. It had 5 arched windows and 2 screen doors, like a little loft apartment. Private balcony, facing east!
There didn't seem to be an over abundance of hot water in the evening. The kitchenette lacks outlets on the counter.
Very helpful and pleasant staff.
Would have liked more storage space in the room.
All in all an excellent stay in a beautiful suite! Loved the free breakfast, wifi, and the pool was clean and of a good size. A bit off the beaten path which was also good. We had young kids which may have disturbed the guests around since the walls of the rooms carry the sound.
Location was in poor area and when we arrived no one could speak English so we couldn't ask about restaurants etc. would have preferred beach area hotels.
The hotel is very charming and comfortable, and the staff is exteremly helpful and informative about the area.
It is about a 10 minute walk into town, which was not a problem for us but some guests may not like it. I would not have wanted to walk by myself at night because it is very dark and there is no sidewalk in some places.
The overall tropical decor and a swimming pool where one can take a dip after a long days trek
It's a 15 minute walk on an isolated dirt road from the main action area.
Everything!!!! The hospitality and kindness of everyone there, the warm welcome as we stood at the door in the pouring rain, the beauty and authentic Mexican architecture of the building. We picked Tulum to be close to Xel-Ha and we picked Posada beause of all they had to offer! So pleased with our decision!! The yummy breakfasts ... made it soromanticfor our honeymoon!! We will definitely stay longer when we come back. I must add that there have been comments about the water .... they continusly sweeped to keep up, but you must understand Tulum has jungle surrounding it .... it is natural beauty. Thank you for such a wonderful time, personal attention and answers to our many questions!
The manager Liz was very helpful from the very beginning. A quaint little hotel with a tropical setting that will leave you in awe; like living in a garden.
While I applaud the Eco/environmental efforts, there was only a single outlet a for us techies, not enough juice to recharge the devices.
So nice and relaxing. A perfect place to stay.
Staff was very helpful and friendly, cute place in kind of quiet area
Location was a bit tricky not all that far of a walk but very dark and remote part of town
Quaint and cute - the rooms have character Manager is great - a big plus.
Confusion over rooms at check in, staff moved belongings into a new room... Overpriced for location and quality.
Feels like paradise, real feeling of mexican flavor.
We stayed at the Posada Yum Kin in November and extended our stay. The accommodation is beautiful, the rooms have character, and the service is excellent. Liz, the manager, was particularly great - really helpful and friendly. She made our stay memorable. Breakfast each morning was lovely. The hotel is a bit out of the town but we didn't find this a problem, and you can hire bikes if you want to - they'll get you everywhere you need. Already recommending to others.
The staff was extraordinarily helpful. The manager actually spoke a little English, which helped a lot. She bent over backward to help out.
The place is beautiful, small and cozy. Staff is so nice and wonderful. Our room was huge, great because we have 2 small children.. bathroom big too, great kitchen..it was like a house..awsome, really clean, breakfast delicious, we love everything about it.
The neighborhood is not pretty but at the end the hotel is great
