Lovely beach, considerate staff make stay a pleasure. Particularly noteworthy is the use of guest room after check out to shower and repack before a late evening departure.
Could use a few more beach loungers as difficult to find spot after breakfast.
We were upgraded to one of the 6th floor rooms that have a balcony - very nice with a great ocean view. Lovely beach, not too packed, plenty of loungers. Very friendly staff. Hospitality room. Restaurant and room service food was reasonably priced and tasty.
Nothing! However, we may not have been as impressed if we hadn't had the room with a balcony. The hospitality room we used was on the ground floor, perfectly nice but didn't feel quite as luxurious (probably cheaper though).
The location is ideal; very clean and right in front of calm sea. Breakfast is superb, albeit you will pay 40 plus dollars for two. The concierge assisted us with our room concerns. The lagoon view and street view have luxurious king size beds but ocean. View has 2 double beds; that WS a bit different.
The internet was not free any place in the hotel. There is m no entertainment anywhere in the hotel so if sitting at the bar is not your thing you will have to find some other way to entertain yourself
Lovely hotel with a fantastic beach
The beach is top dollar, white sands (clean) palm trees close by. Dinning area on the beach serving great food, amazing design. Lots of smiley faces from staff. A very well maintained pool area...Immaculate
A surprise every day after the cleaning staff cleaned the room...I guess this was good? Sort of inconsistent, but we got a good laugh out of it. Breakfast included (at least for us that is)! Bus stop right outside the hotel though!
You have to pay for wi-fi, the TV does not support HD channels. Other than that, you get what you pay for.
the staff was excellent - the concierge, front desk, pool/beach staff were always smiling, extremely helpful and friendly. Capt Paul - sailboat excursion very nice -the staff at beach for rentals were not nice when we changed from para-sailing to sailboat, got agitated. not nice
We got food poisoned by their restaurant and told them about it and never heard a word back. We would not recommend the Presidente.
It was a perfect place - never left once I arrived - not even out the front door - absolutely no need to so so. The staff was fantastic!
There was a terrible aroma in the corridor outside the room door- enough to make you ill. The lighting at the bathroom sink needs to be updated - can't see much of anything.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. The service is second to none. Nothing is a hassle for staff. All friendly and polite. Rooms were clean and spacious. Restaurants were of high standards and quality. Chef ruben is just fantastic. Humberto at concierge is the most helpful concierge service we've ever had. I can't fault this place one bit. It made our honeymoon more special!!

Courteous and obliging staff; excellent breakfast buffet and food in the deck bar on the marvellous beach; a great swimming pool; incredibly clean everywhere throughout the hotel; and a very pleasant atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.
The beds could have been more comfortable.
Beautiful beach, excellent location. Close enough to walk, yet far enough from the party zone to be quiet. My ocean view room was nicely updated, but it would be even better if there were more rooms with balconies. The perfect place to relax and lie on the beach for a few days!
Great beach, good service and the food from the restaurants was very good
They often have problems with giving you the room you booked, we booked a lagune view with a king size bed, but first recieved a very small room with a view of the parking lot. After complaining they gave us a new room after the first night. It seems to be the problem quite often with Presidente, but in my experience: just keep complaining and you will recieve what you have paid for.
The staff were exceptional and the service was fantastic.
No outdoor furniture on the terrace of our room.

Don't rent a car from the hotel (Thrifty) or check the gas first before signature. We rent a car and the tank wasn't full.
Not an awful lot to be honest and I am until now a loyal Intercontinental Priority club gold member. My suggestion is stay somewhere else - there is a lot of choice around here and if my experience and observations are anything to go by you will do yourself a big favour staying elsewhere.
On arrival the hotel was either fully or overbooked so they tried to jerk me around and not give me the room category I had booked. Having gone to one room that was a "garden view" room that effectively overlooked the highway, I was moved to another room with a view of the car park and the highway (no garden anywhere in sight!) but at least it had a king size bed which is what I booked. We went for dinner on the first evening which was a total and utter disaster. We wanted to order a drink at the bar and asked to see the drinks menu - the barman explained that there wasn't one as the recent change in sales tax meant it hadn't yet been reprinted - not good enough in a 5 star hotel. When we sat down for dinner it took 50 minutes to get a bottle of wine (the first two bottles not having been in stock), when our main courses turned up they were cold and had to be sent back, and then our appetizers turned up after our main courses had arrived. The waiter had no idea he was so out of sync and then seemed genuinely shocked when we said I didn't want them! The staff were totally disorganised and even started fighting with each other at our table about all the mistakes and slowness of the service - it was almost comical except I was paying $115 for the experience!! I have been a hotel manager in the past (for Hyatt) and if my guests had experienced what I had experienced that evening I would not have charged them but I was charged in full except for the bottle of water and ice cream we ordered as dessert - not good enough in a hotel like Intercontinental where you expect things to be right. Other guests experienced similar levels of pain - it was a disaster and there was no management presence at all which was unacceptable when problems were to be expected due to the poor weather conditions forcing the closure of the outside restaurant. A hotel of this calibre should have a fall-back plan in such eventualities.
