No elevator. Had to carry luggage up two flights of stairs. Bed and pillows were rock hard. Very loud music nearby that went on into the early hours.
Pleasant, small, on 5th avenue near everything.
April 8, 2015
A lot of noise but it is the price to pay being in the main area.
Near the beach and the main area. Location is very good.

Liked the design and coziness of the property. Staff very helpful. Great view.

My pillow. Too flat. Longer walk to beach than downtown hotels.
Excellent staff-friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Hotel is beautiful in a rustic way.
March 12, 2015
The staff were helpful and friendly and I loved the location of the hotel - right in the centre of 5th Avenido. The hotel was also open to the sun and complimented the tropical climate.

The live music next door was unbearably loud for a couple of nights. The bed was not comfortable; too hard. Water pressure could have been better & the "concierge" service was not exactly a service-they just pointed us in the reight direction!
The location was best for dining, shopping & beaches. Houskeeping was very good and the hotel had a very relaxing atmosphere.

Yes the bed is a pretty hard but the is common for that area.
The indoor garden and rooftop pool are wonderful. The location in near many restaurants and close to the beach but far enough from most of the partying. Great staff

If you get a room at the front (207) don't expect any sleep before midnight. It usually settles down around then. Didn't bother me though
Really lovely place bang in the centre

The bed was a little too hard.
The hotel was really cute, built around a big tree. The interior was nice and the location was ideal! Highly recommend, walking distance from the beach and right in the heart of La Quinta Avenida

Nothing I didn't like. I will say that if you're a budget traveller you may do better staying at a hotel closer to 10th Ave. For (maybe) a small dip in quality of the room and hotel, you can still get a nice room close to the beach/shopping/nightclubs/party and save 30 - 50 USD per night.
Great location very close to the beach. Rooms also include 50% discount at Mamitas beach club, which was a nice place to hang out for the afternoon. Fantastic rooms, beautiful decor, staff very friendly and helpful. Good WiFi.

Depending on location of room can be very noisy till 3am, beds are very hard.
Location was great, General appearance of hotel & room is good, rooms are comfortable, staff is great

No breakfast included - hotel with this price politics should provide some nice breakfast
Location is great and bad in one - just on the main street, which means all shops and restaurant, inc beach very close, but very noisy roms at night... Stylish, colorful and "mexican" rooms, patio... Providing beach towels free Nice and very helpful staff!

The hotel’s location is both good and bad: it is located on the popular 5th Avenue, which also means it is on a noisy street. Light, sensitive sleepers will be affected by this. People with knee problems will also be affected as the rooms are situated on various floors which can only be reached by steep stairs; there is no elevator. We found the hotel staff to be efficient but cold and snobbish/snooty; overall, not pleasant. The “Jacuzzi pool” was very public and uninviting. It was also not clear how it could be switched on. As to the room, it was decorated in a very feminine style (frills, bows, purple colours) and had a heavy smell of lavender. This made us feel very uncomfortable. The TV screen was tiny considering the size of the room. We only stayed for one night as we are sure the room was haunted; there was a 10 minute period just after 2am when the windows and doors started heavily rattling and shaking (even though there was no wind outside) and the room filled with the smell of sulphur and burnt wood. Personally, it was simply too weird, strange, and scary to consider a longer stay.
We had a room with a terrace; both were comfortable, spacious, and clean. The terrace had a table and chairs as well as two loungers which was very nice. The air-conditioning worked well. It was great to have a room safe and a mini-fridge for personal use.

the hotel is located on the busiest stretch of the busiest 5th avenue.you would expect the windows and doors to be sealed properly, they have 2cm gap on each frame.you can not fall asleep b4 3 Am if you are lucky and then rubbish collection at 5am.the noise was a joke ..live band,DJ ,etc ,they need to sound proof their windows and doors..how can this be real????it is so simple...just update your windows!!!
The staff is exellent,it is a very pretty hotel.very welcoming.

The price was tripled due to the holidays for New Year. I guess it's like that everywhere. The wifi signal was very weak (close to none) from the room. After I addressed the issue, the staff did react right away and tell me they were looking into it. It was fixed after a couple of days.
This is the 2nd time I stayed at this hotel. It's right on 5th Ave with everything close by and where the night life is. I got a room on the first floor in the courtyard, which blocked the noises from the street at night quite well. That really helped as I had to get up early in the morning for diving and tours for the first 3 days. However, that also means that there wasn't enough natural light coming in. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The housekeeper even left a warm personal note on NYE. I'd definitely come back and stay there again.

seems the blankets and the bedding clothing was not to clean. (feels itching)

There was nothing a didn't like.
I liked pretty much everything like the location, facilities and all that.
August 11, 2014
- My room was filled with gnats ("sancudos" in spanish). By day two, I had stings/swollen red bumps on at least 3 places and they itched a lot. By day two, I had 5 stings. It was terrible and when I went to the bathroom, there were tons hanging out by the light and humidity. - Bed was extremely hard. No cushion really. I ended up getting used to it, didn't really have a choice a friend of mine who stayed elsewhere also made the comment on how hard it was. - Water pressure very weak; not good when you have long hair and need a thorough cleansing after swimming in the beach.
- Wifi signal was one of the best I experienced while there - Staff are very friendly, always greeted me with a smile - Hotel right on "main drag" (Quinta Ave) and right across from Starbucks - Hotel right at intersection where many taxis hang out (however, don't take these taxis; many charge 50 peso minimum. Instead, walk to 10th Ave and taxis there charge decent fair)

The location was perfect as long as you don't mind hearing a busy street from your window. The staff were very helpful and the hotel had alot of nice little touches

There is nothing not to like!
This was our second visit to the hotel. Our room was clean and we thought it was good value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just a couple of minutes walk away from the lovely beach. Although we had no breakfast included it is not a problem...you are spoilt for choice with a large variety of restaurants on offer. We would recommend this hotel.

Excellent location, right on the best street for pedestrians where most restaurants, shops, cafes and bars are. Easy to find nearby free parking on streets. Safe area, clean and cute hotel, friendly and responsive employees. Stayed in a room looking at the back yard so heard no noise at any time. Close to the beach. Fast Wifi, complementary beach towels, discount at Mamitas Beach Club. Has safe in the room, small fridge and other needs. If you are not interested in the all inclusive hotels outside of city center (requiring transportation) this is a good choice to stay.
