Comfy modern room with plenty If hot water.
Some noise from neighboring businesses
Close to the beach. Staff attention very good. Food very good.
Expensive ( 200 USD per night)
Gorgeous location - right on the beach. Plenty of free parking. Great view from room. Really comfortable room and great shower.
Hotel is overrun everyday by the people coming off the big cruise ships that they offer day packages to. It's therefore full of noisy drunk Americans until 4pm every day, to the point that you can't even get a sunbed on the hotel's beach or get the attention of the waiters at meal times. We were so disappointed that we cut our stay short after 2 nights. Wouldn't go back or recommend.
The bed was excellent. It was nice to have a balcony. Beach is very nice and has wonderful loungers and sunbeds.
A very noisy Senor Frog's is next door. Many mosquitoes in lobby and restaurant area. Dangerous stairs to rooms with no railings to grip as you go. No elevator.
The hotel is right on the beach, has its own beach club and is at the entrance to the beach strip. Good service and friendly staff.
I couldn't connect to the wifi on the first floor - might've been my phone... The food in the restaurante was a bit average and somewhat overpriced. The sea water smelled of sulpher - not sure if It was contaminated or an effect of the sea grass in the shallows. There is a Señor Frogs next door. Very noisy when there's a ship in port.
We loved the setting, laid back atmosphere, convenience to the beach, comfortable bed
One suite was small at the end of the building and had a small bed(queen)no fridge,no hair dryers
relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant (not only for the food) People working there (Mildred, Gerardo etc) were very nice and made our stay more pleasant despite the heavy and continuous rain.
the pub (señor Frog) next to the hotel had a terrible and loud music
good location nice decor big tv
poor wifi in the room
I liked location and value for my money.
I didn`t like that water in the shower and sink had a yellowish color. And out of the sink drain there was some bad smell coming out. Food was good but not as good as I expected, I would say include a largest variety of fish, for example.
Very nice hotel for stay in Mahahual, their restaurant is good, the beach is great and the staff is very friendly. Mildred help us with the tour we want to have and find us a good price with the things that we were looking for.
The weather was perfect. The constant breeze keeps you cool. The food was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The value for the price. The lack of tourist except on cruise ship days made it quiet and relaxing.
Four hour drive from Cancun airport was long, but the transport company that I used had a friendly driver who was helpful when we stopped for food and a break.
3rd time there. Always good
The staff were really helpful especially the receptionists who were brilliant when I had to change my booking and move on a day earlier than I had booked. The restaurant was lovely and the service was very good along with the quality of the food.
We did have a sea view but we had a very small balcony. No lifts although they did offer to fetch someone to help with the bags. The loud music from the restaurant next door was quite annoying at times especially when you are trying to relax on the beach. Koox Hotel on the other hand played lovely chill out music at a discreet level.
Ana the receptionist very kind and restaurant staff too. Thank you!
Right on the beach. They gave us a room with a sea view when we were only expecting a room at the back ( because we had booked thru booking.com ). It was a beautiful room, comfy big bed, nice sofa, big TV with SKY tv channels. Very nice staff. Dive shop right next door was very good. By the way thd rooms at the back are as hood. Two hundred and fifty USD for four nights was a bargain as it was one of the best hotels that we stayed in our eight week trip around Mexico. The town is very quiet except for the two days a week when the cruise ships come for the day. We rathet enjoyed seeing all the new people. They are all gone by 4pm. The public minibus back to Playa Del Carmen and Cancun leaves from the hotel at 5 pm every day and is very quick and comfortable and arrives in to catch the 10pm ferry to Cozumel.
Having to leave.
Great place. Great rate.
Comfortable bed, good location, and excellent value for a sea view. Restaurant had great food, definitely worth trying during your stay. The balcony was perfect to sit on in the evening with a glass of wine.
The position of the hotel is perfect and on the best beach, and we would stay here every time we visit Mahahual
The food wasn't the best
Lovely room, excellent restaurant, friendly stuff, nice beach, etc. We love this place!
The location was amazing, right at the beach. Best to take the ocean view room with a balcony to fully enjoy the experience.
Spacious room with good A/C & fan. We opted for a superior room which simply means Seaview. It does have a great view. It's location is great for relaxing (providing no cruise ship has offloaded its contents onto the beach in which case it's heaving with bodies & noisy) The wetland opposite the front entrance (larger than before due to morethan usual rain recently) is great for seeing birds and a beach stroll can easily become a 6-mile walk, we discover, as there's always something along the next little bit
Would have hoped that a Superior room would have had a coffeemaker & supplies This was provided in almost all of the other hotels in which we stayed (where we'd paid a good deal less per night) The restaurant/bar provides good meals but (apart from wonderful Jorge) the staff badly need waiter/waitress training - 1 piece of cutlery per trip to lay the table made my heart sink. They took the concept of mañana to new levels!
