We stayed at the Ramada Aeropuerto Mexico because of its proximity to the airport; we had an early connection to a flight to San Cristobal the next day. We had stayed at the Ramada the year before on our way to Oaxaca and were not too impressed with the service and attitude of the staff. That was so different this year. All the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and doing all the could to make our stay comfortable. The only tip I would pass on to travellers is to request a room with a "real" window. Some of the rooms have "fake" windows and have poor aircirculation... very stuffy. The rooms with windows not only have better air circulation but are also roomier.

Nice room, friendly desk staff. Great wifi. I will probably stay here again. Staff could have been more helpful getting me to Terminal 2. The shuttle was already full and a staff member told me that it would cost 100 pesos to take a taxi. At the authorized taxi stand just across the street, a driver took me for 50 pesos (and I probably could have offered to pay even less). So, more accurate and realistic information would have been helpful.

The restaurant service fine & the food was good. Front office staff were unhelpful and airport shuttle service unreliable. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to catch your flight.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms had no windows to open { they were all covered with a film} and no air conditioning. There was very poor service and it took a long time to get checked in.

It is near the airport for an overnight stop-over, the price is reasonble, The service is very good, the staff are congenial, and there is shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. The shuttle does not go routinely to Terminal 2, and it is not easy to contact them from Terminal 2 to request shuttle service .

Big bed, comfortable, fairly clean. Close to airport, decent included breakfast buffet. Basic hotel, cheapest hotel closest to the airport Second time staying there and both times there were card key issues to the room. Clerk was less than competent this time around and almost paid much more than we were supposed to due to arbitrary "exchange rates" that were manually entered on a calculator (badly). English comprehension was not an issue however and after some pointed haranguing the clerk went to his manager and ended up giving us the agreed upon rate. Make sure you are aware of the exchange rates, what you are supposed to pay and what the agreement entails before going in and have your information pre-printed and clear.

It was excellent except for the restaurant staff. They were consistently not very attentive or friendly. The front desk staff was great as were all others. The facility is wonderful, clean and very comfortable. I am sorry the restaurant experience with the staff was not as good.

I had booked the Ramada through their website as it offered a senior's rate. The Sunday before my stay, Booking.com had a fabulous deal of $35 a night so I cancelled my original booking and rebooked that way. This is a perfect hotel for an early departure from Mexico City. The wake-up call came exactly on time - a real person, not a machine, and the airport shuttle left as soon as there were 6 people ready to go. I had a nice dinner at the restaurant, which was not too overpriced, although by leaving at 5 am, I missed the breakfast buffet. There is an exercise room and hot tub/jacuzzi on the top floor. The only thing I found odd was that it was empty, and I had to fill it up to use it. It took a long time and only when it was full did I discover that the jets did not work - so it was really quite a waste of water. Only after I returned to my room did I discover that the tub there was a jacuzzi tub. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were quite good. I really appreciated that they provided a toothbrush and little tube of toothpaste, so I could totally pack my bag the night before. For the rate I got, this was a terrific deal. It put me about half an hour closer to the airport and was a quiet, comfortable place to stay. The windows did not open, nor was I able to raise the almost transparent shade so there was only filtered light into the room. I agree with a previous comment about asking for an outside room. I first got an inside room and it felt quite claustrophobic. There was no problem changing rooms. The radio/alarm clock was a bit complicated to set. Not straight-forward. Not good for an airport hotel.

The location was perfect because is very close to the Airport and they have a service of transportation every 30 minutes from the hotel to the airport. The driver gave us information about which airport terminal we should wait for our flight. The bell boys, and the hotel's staff were very helpful and the price of the room vs quality is quite good moreover the airport is very close to the hotel and it takes only a few minutes to get ther. I definetely recommend this airport and I in my next trips to the airport I will stay there. David I.S

Proximity to airport Transport facilities could be better - not far but not apparent how to walk there, shuttles only every 30 mins. No early breakfast options - should be one of the plus points for the many transiting travellers.
