- Absolutely horrendous wifi. Barely any wifi in the room, so constantly had to go to the reception area - Old & Outdated decor. This includes the room i stay in; the swimming pool, Gym, and Sauna. It all needs to be updated - The Gym had some broken equipment. Also, would be nice if staff provides some fruits in the Gym area - In room, carpet clearly old and wrinkley. - The water that came out of the shower smelled very strongly of bleach (watch out if you have any skin allergies). smelled alot like if you went swimming in a swimming pool - Prostitutes and transexuals operate on the same road as the Hotel. They do not bother you, but please beware if with kids. - Quality of bed and pillows. Old, uncomfortable. - Air conditioning was horrendous. I would often find myself choking after a short while of turning it on. - Curtains didnt fully close so had to improvize by using a nail clipper to attach the two curtains together! - Food menu really isnt to appetizing. I decided to go to another restaurant which is across the road from hotel - TOKS. A wonderful alternative. - Soap and shampoos are very very poor quality. Well presented, but lacks the quality that they ought to be.
- The reception area is beautiful - The building on the outside is very very beautiful - the buffet area is adequate - staff were all very friendly and helpful - Couple of minutes from the Metro (Train), and 10 seconds to the Metrobus - 5-7 mins away from Monument de Revolucion
Just a little noise
Nice hotel en general
Childrenn running and yieling on the halls all day and night, inyerupting my sleep. Called security three time amd nothing was done bad
the hotel is old and the facilities and dated. A new face-lift is needed !!
location is probably the only good thing about this hotel.
Walls are too thin as the sound of the TV in the next room disturbed my sleep. The volume of the TV should be checked by staff so that it is set at a low volume follwing a room clean. Might stop people from having the sound up high.
Good and convenient location for an early flight with a shuttle to drop me off at the Terminal.
Bed The bathroom was dropping Tv Bad service of bellboy
Not a statement of what I disliked; more of a comment FYI. The immediate vicinity of the hotel is a bit of 'downtown Mexico City' - a couple of good bars and a salsa club close by. Pleasant enough during the day: a few good places to get a coffee, etc. In the evening the girls and tranies come out and line the streets just the the left of the hotel waiting for punters to come along in their cars.. Nobody bothers otherwise and it just seems to be a feature of the neighbourhood. The place has character!
Rooms are spacious, comfortable and good value with good facilities. Taxes increased the price more than I was expecting, but still good for the price. Breakfast buffet really good and included in the price - great selection of hot plate options including mexican favourites such as chilaquilies and rancheros, juices, fruit and extras. Location is good - a short stroll from Juarez and Reforma.- Parque Alameida and Bellas Artes and Sanborne's establishments. A 30 minute walk to Garibaldi and the mariachis. Good for the metro - estacion Hidalgo. Visitors to Mexico City, who are staying for a few days, should use the metro as it is the most effcient way of getting around; each journey is only 5 pesos. Absolutely fine during the day and evening in my experience, but very busy and a bit grimy. A bonus is that outside the hotel the Metrobus (line 4) goes directly to the airport. You can get it for 30 pesos and avoid the expensive 'secure' taxis rate (300 pesos!). For both the metro bus and the metro you buy a metrocard - available in the metro.
Location was bad Someone tried to enter my room late at night Support staff was poor Owner was unphased by complaints
Breakfast was excellent
Strange window view
It boasts wi-fi connection, but when given the code by front desk it did not work. They had little interest in explaining why it was not working. The young woman at the front desk, made it sound like it was our phone/ipad that did not work. When in reality it was most probably the wrong code or a router problem. We had been using our phone at cafe's, in Reforma, and other hotels, with WiFi with zero issues. She was annoyed that we complained. She could hav at least apologized for it not working but she said nothing. Not a safe neighborhood to be especially at night. It says it is close to reforma which seems safe and is nice but this place was in a seedy part and not really in Reforma. So much so, that when we were trying to walk back to the hotel in the evening and asked some gentlemen for directions they told us not to walk in the sides streets because it was dangerous and we could be mugged. There were hairs in the pillow and bed. But by this time were were so exhuasted and had to catch a flight back very early the next day that we didn't think it was worth the effort to complain to the attendant who had been so non-plused/annoyed about the wifi.
The people from the restaurant were very pleasant. I phoned in for some ice to keep my medicine refrigerated and they gave me a bucket full of ice.
Paid for superior bedroom and they gave us a normal one. Had to complain so they changed it for superior. Swimming pool is so small you can't expect to swim (more for kids to play) Bad quality TV
Sauna in the gym Very clean in the room Great choice of food for breakfast Super comfy bed Quiet
Sometimes laud of water flow.
Nice location, Clean room.
Location, staff and actually everything. Good value for money
the gym wasn't available for my whole stay
well, just area around is not so safe...so many prostitude and mob like person
there is not ice in the floors and beds are small.
bath rooms were big and they keep the rooms clean
The hallways are dark and the building is old. The location is regretful.
The move us to a quieter room.
Reception staff didn't seem welcoming, charge for internet high, they also charge for coffee in the room and parking. Nothing is complimentary.
Location, comfortable rooms. Nice bar area with sports on TV
staff smoking around front door. OK if that is the way up to Mexican customer service standard?
ideally situated near historic sites.
Hotel rooms are old
The lobby looks new and nice staffs who are ready to help.
The 'breakfast included' was just a cup of coffee - anything else and there was a charge of Peso 155.
Good location in center of city. Clean rooms
Continental breakfast was very Spartan.
Location is excellent, close to all the historical centre
1. We booked a top quality room in the Remada Reforma in Mexico City six months in advance. 5 days before our departure for Mexico we were informed by email that 'due to an act of God' the hotel could not honour our reservation but could offer us the same quality accommodation nearby. I replied saying that we had arranged 2 excursions from the hotel and 2 airport pickups and there was no time to change all that. They then replied saying , ok but you will have to make do with a lower quality room. We stayed at the hotel but there was no reduction in the room rate nor were we offered full breakfast (continental booked) in compensation for messing us around.
Friendly helpful staff
the swimming pool the proximity with the sea
The price is excellent
