Be aware that some places in Cancun are getting a tourist trap. The city is getting more and more visited and some areas are fully packed and impossible to get though. Chose carefully your stays and beaches to visit (north is always a good option)

I would not book Moon Palace through booking.com again.
I would not book Moon Palace through booking.com again. Using an intermediary meant communication with the hotel was very poor. We were giving a booking number, which the hotel acknowledged, but the app didn't, which meant using the app for pre check in wasnt possible. Payment was taken without notification of how much (it was the full amount) or exactly when. The transfer to the hotel from the airport was a bad start to the holiday. It was difficult to find the bus stop ( local taxi drivers directed us), and the Moon Palace staff were not very helpful or pleasant at the airport. My son and his family on a different flight were told they weren't on the list, and to get a taxi. The hotel later insisted they were a 'no show' and refused to reimburse their cost of the taxi. Turns out despite booking and paying with the hotel directly, they never received an email with any directions. Without these difficulties, this would have been a glowing recommendation, as staff at the Sunrise, and facilities were exceptionally good.

During our 6 days stay, every meal was excellent, especially the food at the steakhouse. The room was always clean and tidy, and the staff I met always smiled happily.
I had a happy and comfortable time. This is a hotel I definitely want to go back to next time. I would recommend it to other travelers.

Cancún has matured much over the last 22 years, since I last visited her. As always the beache(s) were magnificent. Indiscribably blue vistas of the ocean, long white sandy beache(s) and the prefect angle of the sun for the suntan lovers. Don't forget your sunblock, creams, or sun blocking gear It is easy to forget about the blistering sun. Use a timer especially if laying around, just in case you dose off. ENJOY.

Although the hotel zone is centered around the experience of wealthy travelers, there is a real city with plenty of affordable options for entertainment. Plenty of great food options downtown with a surprising amount of vegan/vegetarian businesses. Plenty of options for cultural tourism are also present including tours to Chichen Itza and Tulum, as well as Museo Maya and the El Rey Archeological Zone.

The location where I stayed (hotel zone) was perfect it was right on the beach and on other side of the hotel across the street was little, local shops to get the presents for my family, friends and myself.
Better beach is at the top of the strip, it is clean no seaweed and white sand - Caracol Beach.
I booked all inclusive adults only, I ate mostly in my hotel it was enough food for me and everything was so tasty.
Getting around is very easy, they have a bus which routes back and forward on the strip Hotel Zone and to the airport. Ride $1.
You can pay in dollars, they prefer better cash. Make sure you have enough small dollar signs because everywhere you have to tip, but it is not so bad :) the cards also accepts.
Avoid areas which is remote, they have a lot of alligators and other creatures which you are not familiar with.
Ideally located north of Cancun away from the crowds. There were several restaurant options, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, French fusion and buffet. Beach was wonderful with very little seaweed. Staff super nice and attentive. Multiple pools, food available and poolside for lunch. Room service food available too. Everything all inclusive. Really no need to leave resort.
It’s about 45-60 minutes north of airport.
We stayed 2 nights - just a chill after travelling around Mexico. Close to airport which was ideal and we didn't leave the resort for the time.
You have the beach and the pool for options.
Always enjoy all inclusive and staff are good at both pool/beach keeping your drinks topped up
Staff are helpful - Bell boys got our taxi etc and deal with luggage quickly and not tip focused at all which is good
The location was ideal, just a few hundred meters to the coach terminal (direct airport bus and good intercity connections with comfortable ADO coaches)
- the hotel is in Cancún downtown, conveniently located to enjoy the evenings with a truly local flair in the Parque de Palapas square
- recommendable Taqueria el Poblano is also just a few steps away
- bed was cozy
1. The location is quite close to Cancun airport and the hotel provides pre-booked free shuttle bus between it and the terminals every half hour.
2. The swimming pool is heated but not clean enough. No one clean the leaves dropped in it.
3. There are swings and sofas next to the round-shaped pool which is a good place to kill time.
We loved the boutique aesthetic of the hotel, perfect if you want to avoid the gigantic complexes further along the hotel zone. We felt a sense of calm as soon as we stepped through the doors. The food was OUTSTANDING and far surpassed our expectations for an all inclusive hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times.
They had good hospitality. Explanation at the first time was very clear and showed restaurant, pool area and more in the hotel was super helpful.
We got good deal for all inclusive for 24 hours and we got 2 times dinner, breakfast, lunch and drinks at the bar. We loved staying there.
Meets all the NH standards we were looking for. Excellent breakfast and dinner, nicely decorated room with confortable beds. The staff was super friendly and everything went perfectly well. The ideal place to stay if you need a hotel near Cancun Airport before or after a long flight.
Unlike many of the all inclusive resorts in the hotel strip that are very strict, this option, although not adult-only, did not close the pool earlier than 9, did not police the beach too heavily, and it was peaceful and relaxing. Just the right amount of people to feel comfortable.
This was my first All Inclusive resort experience and it exceeded my expectations!
I loved everything there: service, hotel, room, food, drinks, pool and much more!
The weather was perfect for all 8 days and we enjoyed it very much.
I would highly recommend this resort.
Well-located hostel in the party area of Cancun Hotel Zone. Always felt safe and welcome. They offer nice, spacious private rooms as well! Hostel has lots of parties going on, so you‘re never alone. There is even a crocodile visiting the fence every once in a while..! :-)
Everything was excellent. Design and decor of rooms and restaurants is nice. Rooms are very comfortable. High quality of food and beverage for an all inclusive hotel. Loved the resort!!! We would return if we visit the area again. Excellent choice price per value
The location is great, especially for those who are gonna travel by land the next morning and planning to stay near the airport for a night. Price for the food is expected as its not an all inclusive hotel.
really nice modern hotel in Cancun. we were going to Cancun for our final evening in Mexico from Tulum so really didn’t want a party spot & this was perfect. away from the hotel strip
All inclusive was not like the other hotels with low quality food, in fact you could get the meals and drinks from four restaurants next to the hotel where their food was amazing!
A great hotel with lots of facilities and the location on the beach is incredible. We only stayed for 1 night after landing in Cancun Airport and it was a great place to wake up.
I loved everything about it especially the all inclusive and the caringness of the staff ann opportunities to visit other RUI hotels . Our anniversary trip was excellent.
