Score from 68 reviews Good
This unassuming hotel outdid the expensive one we stayed at for prior nights. The rooms were spacious, quiet, and staff fantastically friendly. Direct beach access, economical beach bar, serene grounds and stunning views. "Tacos" restaurant delivered the best tacos on our trip, very economically. I would wholeheartedly recommend to families.
the cabanas The setting
Only cold water Electricity only from 5pm to 10 pm
Price Location The cabin and his natural materials Shower & bathroom Staff
location value really nice staff lovely bungalows peaceful clean and beautiful beach
no yoga here the beach bar was never open
The location is exellent
The continental breakfast is poor.
The beach Tacos reastrount
The shower There is electricity only between 1900 - 2200 The breakfast is a joke
Great location and very relaxing.
The beds were not that comfortable and the electricity is limited in the nights.
Location to beach (SO close) hotel bar was very awesome
Mosquitos Uncomfortable nets hitting you at night Electricity in and out Fan not strong enough Long walk to the cabana from the street
Closeness to the sea, quietness, calmness, being able to see the stars...
Decor, free lounge chairs, beautiful beachfront cocktail bar, attention to detail at breakfast.
Had a hardtime sleeping with no ac. Beach bar should open 7days a week.
Three hours lost with the credit card pos broken. They required only cash! At the same price you can find other better stays. Bad bed.
It is truly a rustic paradise. The location is amazing! The beach is stellar, and we got great bar service from Pablo. The staff very helpful. The food at the Tacos restaurant is terrific. Lilliana and Tamara were very helpful. We arrived very early and they let us stash our luggage in the main office while we went to the beach. When the room was ready our luggage was waiting for us. Tamara set us up on a great tour of the bio reserve - it was amazing.
Our mattresses were old and uncomfortable. You could feel the springs. We ended up putting the lounge chair pads on the beds to make them work. They need to invest in high quality mattresses for the whole property asap. The good news is that when we complained the next day they switched them out immediately which made a huge difference. Good customer service. One other issue: The breakfast is limited and the one egg for $9 is too high. I went next door for a better breakfast for much less money.
The hotel was located right on the beach and there were huts always available to stay out of the sun. Right next door to the hotel was a place to rent bikes which made getting into town a lot easier.
When we arrived, we were informed that it was not possibly to pay by credit card despite our confirmation email saying we could. We were informed we should of received a different email giving us the option to pay by PayPal but we never received meaning we had today by cash. The hotel also had no electricity for large parts of he day which meant we were unable to turn on lights in our cabin. This was an issue as we did not get a lot of natural light which meant we were often forced to use a torch to see anything of detail. The food in the hotel, at the beach, was terrible - what we ordered was expensive, tasteless and cold. The Italian place next door served amazing food. Overall I think the place was poor value for money and we would have done better to simply rock up and try our luck with many of the surrounding hotels which offered cheaper rooms with air conditioning.
- Overall eco-approach - Rooms (Houses) - Hammocks - Helpful staff at the receptios
- Tiny breakfast - Beach facilities (beach chairs, umbrellas) could be better
Marvelous beach, well maintained cabanas, great staff. While lights were only operational for 4 hours in the evenings the fan and plug ins to charge phones etc. were available 24/7. There was an open garden area ajacent to the bathroom. I thought that was delightful.
Nice place in beatiful privet beach. Can bored very quick. k
Lots of unconvenient ruls like no enter food, there is lights only beatween 19:00-23:00 and more.
Fantastic location next to the see. Lovely huts
A bit expensive overall. Staff is not really stress to serve breakfast in the morning. It can take 1 hour!!
Everything was awesome.
The breakfast is very light
Proximity to the beach, convenience of having a restaurant next door.
Fantastic beach location.
Nothing really. Although very rustic it was expected.
it is not a good value for money suppose to change shower towel every day but it did not happen, only under request light only for a few hours, if you have to go to the toilet in the night you need to carry a torch doors without handle or knob, just a small bolt, not for big fingers bedroom close to the bathroom of the other room, not really well acoustic isolated breakfast really poor food at the restaurant not good and expensive price in dollar with rate change in pesos not convenient no chairs and desk in the bedroom
The staff was wonderful. Everything was clean. It was beautiful. The food was great. Service was excellent. I would definitely return.
I would have preferred it if coffee had ben available earlier in the morning. I understand breakfast not being served until 8 AM, but coffee available earlier would have been very nice. The water pressure in our shower was poor. I wish we had had possibly a second fan in our room. At times it was still a bit too warm in the evening.
the price we paid, 185 USD/night, is a joke for what you get: tiny and entirely basic hut with a few hours of electricity a day, water hardly running, mediocre breakfast
The hotel the breakfast
