Nicely situated, excellent breakfast, charming staff and great rooms!
My wife and I travel every two months and hold respectful expectations for service and comfort based on price. This is the complete package. 5 star service, beautiful beach and layout, comfortable rooms and ours wasn't even one of the new renevated rooms.
Peacefulness, quiet, proximity to beach, food, staff's desire and ability to accommodate all requests
The location, the beach and the kind of the hotel was very nice.
I didn't like the service for breakfast. It would be better to have a small buffet. It's better for the staff and for the guests.
Mossimo and his professional and attentive staff were some of the best I've spent time with over 6 trips to Mexico over several years on the Pacific and Caribbean coasts. Hands down, the property was the best maintained, and most romantic quintessential tropical- lovers paradise we found. And we walked miles of the beach in search of a future wedding spot. Loved, Jonathan, Silvia, Sandy, Gorge, Alejandro, Marcos et al...they all take care of the guests, including the 3 am security guard that woke us and got us off on the shuttle to sadly depart. They all provided an eco friendly (wi-fi only, which we needed) experience that never left us wanting more. You just needed to ask. We've been home for two days and are planning our next visit already...see for your self, but please keep it small and a secret. Go to Cancun or an all inclusive 'cattle lot' if you want crowds and a party scene, Rosa Del Viento is intimate and all about getting away from it all. And fresh fish that was literally brought in by boat -right to the beach daily, no joke! A great time all the way around, money well spent!!
Ummm, the pillows were a bit firm for my taste.
Liked that it was away from the busy parts of the beach. The sunloungers were lovely and comfy, the food was very good (ceviche wonderful) and that it was literally on the beach.
The only thing is that there were hardly ever any people in the restaurant in the evening so it lacked atmosphere but that would be the only thing. Lots of other restaurants to try along the main strip. Also because it is at the end of the strip it is a fair distance from the other restaurants. It would be good for bike hire to be included or at least enough bikes for all the guests as there werent any for us to rent when we wanted to use them at night time to get to other places.
We absolutely loved the beach at this location. It was the last hotel before the biosphere reserve, so very quiet. Service at the beach was nice too. The seating and beds along the beach were lovely along with the thatched umbrellas. The restaurant had a good variety of food and seemed to use good quality ingredients. Staff were helpful and made up breakfasts the night before for us when we needed to leave early for a tour. The room was tasteful, the bathroom was very clean, and the shower had good pressure with hot water. Wifi worked well, and electric was also reliable. We had an ocean view room and loved the breeze and the view.
Main complaint was that the mattress was too firm for our taste. It seemed like a newer, well-constructed mattress, but it was very hard. As much as we liked the location, getting to other eating establishments was challenging. Suggest renting one of their bicycles or renting a car. One time the housekeeping staff did not replenish our bottled water in the room, and bottled water was expensive to buy at the hotel.
Fantastic beach location. Very well maintained grounds and beach frontfront.Seeing fishing boat landing on beach with fresh catch in morning and having the fresh fish for dinner that night. Staff super friendly and helpful.
Just paradise! Their set up at the beach was great - lots of sun lounges, attentive & friendly staff (for food & drinks) and private area of the beach. Rooms were large & clean and had aircon & fans. Restaurant overlooked the water and the food was great. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be staying here again when we're next in Tulum!
Nothing. Will be back!
Such a lovely place... we stayed for 4 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer! The staff are excellent, friendly and attentive. Rooms are large and clean and lovely. Lots of nice touches. Great margharitas...! Nice food in the restaurant too. The beach area is quite quiet-the place is slightly futher down so not as many people walking by and felt secluded and private. The staff helped my boyfriend arrange a suprise for my birthday so flowers, chocolate and champagne when we arrived with rose petals everywhere -really lovely. We really loved it here and would come back in a heartbeat.
Nothing!! The only tiny downside was that its slightly futher along beach road so 5-15mins walk to dinner or cab but cabs are so cheap it really doesnt matter at all. And meant it felt more private.
A little bit far from restaurants if you want to go oit
Shower did not function, and the staff would not fix it or move us into another room. This seems par for the course here
Size and comfort of the room
Few rooms have beach view
We were so excited to find Rosa Del Viento. It is located right on the beach - you just step out of your room and you're right at your own private lounge chair. The staff is incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. I got a massage on the beach from Audi, the resident massage therapist. Highly recommend! It was one of the best massages I have ever had. The food at RDV is great too. This is our new hotel in Tulum!
We loved everything except the mosquitos. Other then that, Rosa del Viento was by far one of the better places in Tulum, we checked out other places. This place is the last resort on the stretch of beach and lagoon but we felt like we had our own private beach. The staff make you feel like family. The owners are a super cool Italian family. The food in the restaurant great, especially the pizza. We had just what we booked, an ocean front room with a porch and hammock, I can't say enough about Rosa Del Viento. Will definitely go back next October. Making this place our go to place in Tulum. The best for the money.....You won't be sorry.
Be prepared to bring lots of repellant for the bugs. Our room had no bugs, no mosquitoes at all...but at night outside and on the lagoon side of Tulum...Look out. If you are allergic to bugs, I highly suggest an epi pen. Benadryl works but not if your really allergic, plenty of hydrocortisone to help with the itching.
Gorgeous setting, hardworking and kind staff, clean rooms.
They overbooked and we had to stay in a lesser room until our reserved room was available.
Perfect for couples! Nice staff and cozy rooms right on the beach. Restaurant is good too!
Rosa Del Viento is an absolutley beautiful hotel located right on the beach in beautiful Tulum. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast that is included is also very good and includes hot breakfast options. Great deal!
There were ants in my room that didn't seem to go away. This could be a one time thing, and when I told the staff they did clean my room right away. I would still stay at Rosa Del Viento again though despite this.
The place itself is paradise, massage by Auri on the beach is a must.
The whole place is on the beach. The room was enormous and very clean and stylish. Huge comfy bed. We had a garden facing room which was beautiful - looking at the palms. The beach was the bots stunning I have ever seen - it is much nicer than the beach closer to Tulum town. Good restaurant.
The air conditioning in the room didn't work quite right.
stuff, view, location, resturant
a bit expensive you have only the hotel resturant to eat and nothing else in that erea
This hotel is far away from everything and has a privet beach. Excellent place for a vacation... The room is very nice. On the beach you have everything you need if you want to spend all day there. The staff was very nice. The menu in the resturant is italian style and the food is nice (not excellent). The prices are not cheap but if you don't have a car you need to pay 120-150 pesos on taxi (one way) if you want to go to one of Tulum's resturants so it's equal amount to eat in the hotel resturant...
The cleaness of the beach is depand on the current. In our stay the first 2 days the beach was amazing but then the current brought seaweeds and it wasn't nice. The water in the shower are salty water (because it comes from a cenote).
Excellent breakfast included Staff was helpful Steps from a lovely beach A/C included Location
Not a lot of privacy Easily hear noises around property Slippery steps to get to 2nd floor Over-priced Restaurant staff a bit overbearing and pushy.
Loved everything about this place!
The beach is amazing, so are the rooms
Poor food, nothing special about the restaurant.
