Excellent breakfast included Staff was helpful Steps from a lovely beach A/C included Location
Not a lot of privacy Easily hear noises around property Slippery steps to get to 2nd floor Over-priced Restaurant staff a bit overbearing and pushy.
Loved everything about this place!
The beach is amazing, so are the rooms
Poor food, nothing special about the restaurant.
Very well maintained place in superb location. However, it's at the far end of the hotel strip, so accordingly somewhat isolated, which makes it a great location. Accordingly, you need a car to get around or to other restaurants. I highly recommend it.
Staff and cleaness
Restaurant, breakfast starts too late 8:00 if so. They have some dishes inthe menu that they don't how to prepare eg. Tuna was so overcooked that was almost uneatable.
We were looking for s hotel away from the crowds of the resort area and fell in love with hotel. The staff were so kind and helpful. The view and location were perfect. The restaurant was delicious. We would love to go back!
Non residents having full access to the beach facilities, ie chairs and umbrellas. Quite often paying guests did not have the use of these facilities as a result. Food excellent. Cost of alcholic beverages extremely high when the the low cost of alcohol in the country is considered.
Both the beach and the hotel: a dream!! The location really make you feel outside the world. Staff is always available, kind and helpful. The rooms are perfectly clean. We stayed for almost a week we would stay another if we could. And we absolutely come back next year!
The service at the restaurant was slow.
the beach was awesome...great location!!!
the breakfast was poor and the food, snacks and drinks were pricy
Beautiful and rustique, but chique, boutique hotel. With great location and services to offer to the guests. It's a place to go back, for sure! The owners were very kind!!
The food from the restaurant is not brilliant. Need to hire a good local Chef.
I absolutely loved this hotel and Tulum- I can't wait to go back! One of the nicest beachfronts in Tulum. Very comfortable beach loungers with excellent drinks service. Spacious, clean, quiet/private rooms with lovely balconies and hammocks. Lovely, gracious staff. Free parking.
Not a very social environment. Food in the restaurant could be better, more authentic- was a little bland. One of the last hotels in the hotel zone- great for serenity and ambiance but far from shops, restaurants, yoga, spas, town, etc. Would be nice to have yoga and spa on-site.
Cozy room. Very helpful staff.
- restaurant with beach view, serves good food! - included breakfast consist of three choices, which are all nice - location directly at the private beach - super nice staff - beach was cleaned daily - waiters are very attentive - rooms are clean nicely decorated - free beach chairs and beach towels - shower on the beach - free parking
- bathroom water was slightly salty
Breakfast was included, staff were very welcoming, friendly and kind. Loved their honey shampoo.
I wish our room had a fridge. We had some chocolates with us that the little ants feasted on but it's not a big deal. The stay here was worth losing the chocolates!
Great location. Lovely beach. Good restaurant. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very relaxing spot, but within easy reach of activities in the area.
Would be nice to have a fridge and kettle in the rooms for coffee/tea.
Beautiful, relaxing, friendly staff, and clean.
The food was reliable and very safe to eat however the preparation and selection was a little dated. They need to add a contemporary flair to the items on the menu.
Beach itself is amazing.
My room was supposed to be sea front side but actually it was a bit far from the sea and u couldn't see it due to some palm trees
Relaxing, no hassles, good food, great beach, friendly staff
Impossible not to track sand in your room, not much to do if it rains, far from any convenience store, no fridge in room
Amazing hotel located on a quite, idyllic spot on Tulum's beautiful beach. The rooms are lovely and rustic, exactly what we were looking for. I would recommend the sea view rooms as the views were priceless. The staff really could not do enough for you and were so attentive. We received a warm welcome upon check in and the staff made every effort to use your name and remember your room number. We experienced extreme weather while we were there (September), from blazing sunshine to what felt like a hurricane through the night (hence the score being marked as good not excellent for quality of sleep). This is not the hotels fault and adds to the experience. When we decided to stay by the beach for the day we did not need to walk out to find a nice spot as it is perfect where the hotel is. Comfortable luxury beds are provided and sun shades and the waiting on staff would provide drinks and snacks on the beach.
This wasn't a problem for us but the hotel is one of the last along the road so it does take longer to walk down the lane but there are beautiful shops and quirky bars dotted along which was great for us. The price in a taxi was fair too so all in all we found this ok and would definitely go back.
- Spacious rooms - Friendly staff - Comfortable room - Italian food is better than Mexican at the restaurant
-Hot water not always available
Rooms, service, beach.
I went together with my boyfriend for a couple of days - it was simply incredible! The atmosphere is beautiful - those little cabañas on the beach, palms, the most amazing blue and crystal clear water I've ever seen,a a very cute room with beach view and the sounds of the waves to go to sleep, the most lovable staff serving in the restaurant and beach... We just loved it! A recommendation: Rent a car! The hotel is a little away from town and with a car you can perfectly and easily reach it and you're flexible to visit the ruins and a the beautiful cenotes!
Rosa del Viento has a lot of pluses going for it that will make your stay one to remember . The hotel is small but not too small like other Tulum hotels, which allows it to have some vibrancy. The stretch of the beach where the hotel is at is probably the best in Tulum and has lots of beautiful palm trees . The restaurant facing the ocean is heaven - the experience that is ( not the food )of waking up and having breakfast with that view!!! There are lots of beach beds so you don't feel you have to fight for them . The rooms have A/C!!!!! This is a must especially if you go there in the Summer months although I'm from the Caribbean and I would never choose a hotel without A/C no matter the time of the year. Overall the hotel is a beautiful and relaxing rustic beach property . Highly recommend it.
I think the two main things that we were not supper happy with was the food and the service . In terms of food it was just pretty average- nothing exceptional. We liked to have lunch at the hotel and then go out for dinner ( Tulum has amazing restaurants!) . The staff in general and in particular at the restaurant was not very attentive . They were always forgetting things and we had to remind them constantly to bring the wine, bread or whatever. It's a very small hotel and we were served by the same guys every day but we always had to remind him that I didn't drink tea, that my husband wanted a large tea cup- etc. just overall lack of attention and quite honestly efficiency- service also took ages! Also - other than Piero the hotel manager no one is very helpful or eager to help. It's true that the hotel is one of the furthest away but we had rented a car and didn't mind. I would recommend to anyone going to Tulum to rent a car anyway. The rooms could use some improvements and renovations - the bathrooms in particular look a bit run down with rusting hardware and the bed covers look old and discolored- but aside from that they are spacious. We also spent very little time in the room so we didn't care. Last - water does run scarce at the hotel . I was showering and was left all soapy because there was no more water. This happened during two consecutive days- luckily at the end of our stay .
Everything we needed and the staff couldn't be more helpful.
We couldn't stay longer
Rugs next to bed were not cleaned each day. We were told that the ocean front double room that we booked, did not exist. This was very disappointing
