the pool was pretty filthy at times, if you want to bring a visitor over you can sometimes struggle
Really cool room with sea view and spacious, great people staying there too.. it is very social
The staff was rude and dismissive, the beds and pillows hard as rocks, impossible to sleep before 3 am beacuse of massive music playing from the street. It was like a concert was playing inside your room from morning until long over midnight. The Hotel demands 10 dollars a day per device if you need to use the internet, and it only works in the receprion, not in your room. They also demand that you pay for the whole stay if you choose to buy internet connection, and will not let you have just one day.
we faced a problem of noise from entertainment business surrounded until 3 am. almost everyday
it locates close to the beach just at the back of the hotel.
I already knew you had to pay $5 a day for wifi at the hotel but after arriving Salvia began to charge more a day from $5 the first day, $10 a day an hour later and $35 a day the next day.
Salvia is a very great location if you are going to Cancun to have fun and don't plan on being in the room all day. It's the last of the hotels where all of the clubs and bars meet, and directly across the street from Fat Tuesdays.
The tariff charges of the hotel are very high. The do not provide any facility to the guest. the staff behavior at reception was not good. They were talking badly. I do not recommend to stay in Hotel Salvia Cancun. this is a bad hotel.
Good place to stay. Beautifull sea view. Close to shops, street food and night clubs. Good connection with airport with private hotel transfer. Possibility to make private tours on Yucatan most important places ( ask about Julian at reception desk).
Didn't realize we would be renting someone's condo. The quality of the units seems to vary dramatically. Desk people were nice but their job was not to help short-term guests so they lacked basic tourist info that I am used to getting at hotels/hostels (where to book tours, restaurant recommendations, etc.) Location near so many clubs means extremely noisy at night, but ok with ear plugs.
Relaxed vibe. Desk people were friendly. Lobby is nice. Beach has big waves (faces the open ocean) - people were surfing, not as great for swimming except the area to the left of the hotel which is protected by a breakwater. Near restaurants, bars, and clubs.
Wifi charges are extra. At a hotel that's over $200us per night? I own a motel and we don't charge for internet. Also didn't stay the last night of my scheduled trip and they tried to charge me.
Hotel is quite old, need some update. Not far from a big disco, so noisy till 4:30, that it was imposible to sleap.
Good location just on the beach and great view from the ocean view room.
I can't believe it is a hotel, if you don't want to ruin your vocation, keep away from it!!!!!!
Staff are the friendliest people, the hotel is super safe because there is security on at all times, the location is prime for people wanting to be near the nightlife. Overall I had the best experience
Extra charges No hairdryer Noisy at night No place for breakfast
Nice beach Good dinner options nearby Clean units
Double charged my booking, still unresolved a month later Wi-Fi wasn't free
Close to bars Nice pool Access to beach
The facilities are poor. Feels like a jail. Its a hotel, not a hostel. No guests allowed. I felt like a teenager.
Bartender chris. Angel sent from above. Order banana loca, best drink in mexico!!!
- Staff attitude (Receptionist) very rude and mad all the time -The doors of the condos are not too secure but at least you have the security downstairs and doesnt let anyone by without a wrist band. - AC has one unit and very hot rooms -The four days we stayed only one time the room services lady came up and clean which was a day before we left the condo. -I personally had to take the dirty towls downstairs and get new ones. - Never receieved a courtesy call to see if everything was ok. -I had to take the trash out to the hall way and put new trash bags. - I washed all the dishes because no one came upstairs to clean. :( So never thought I would be doing this during my vacation...BUT I DID because we were 6 people in the condo.
-Amazing view from the condo. -Security is very strict doesnt let anyone go in if you dont have a wrist band...which is excellent. -Very clean rooms once you get there -Great location for clubs, restaurant, walking distance. -Bus stop right infront of the condo.
Staff are pretty awful. No functioning internet
Location is the best
AC was running very slow .The staff was rude .my room was terrible it was ants on my bed and on the floor. It was a bad odor to the room .i only stay for one night .i left to go to Aloft hotel which was very nice
The bathroom .
The staff is not hospitable at all. It feels that they are doing you a favor by giving you such a cheap deal. We are paying money and the staff just takes that for granted.
The location was great and so was the value for money! It is the closest you can possibly get to the clubbing zone and is very safe with tight security. Very good access to the beach too.
Firstly, the staff is in no way approachable or cordial. As guests, we pay for an at-minimum "comfortable" stay. There was a massive flood while we were there, which was the furthest thing from "comfortable." The elevators were broken and the stairway was a shower. It was never addressed by the staff with any type of explanation. On another note, it is ironic to be charged for extra towels at the same hotel in which there is a giant (and I mean giant) flood. After such a large facility malfunction, I don't believe that we should have even had to pay full price for our stay. I have pictures of the condos from the time of the flood (as well as others highlighting the poor maintenance of the building) that I will be uploading to trip advisor and other sites upon my arrival home.
The location is excellent, however, I could set up a tent on an empty lot in the same location as Salvia and have a similar experience to staying in the condo.
One night there was a lot of noise from a beach disco, but then I guess a lot of people liked it, so no big issue.
Being right by the beach and close to bars, restaurants and the little shopping mall, made for a very convenient and pleasant stay.
view view view! good location in cancun
Absolutely no visitors allowed in the hotel (people who are not staying there). The "bar" is nearly empty every night and the food is overpriced. Wifi stopped working the first night and we never received a refund for the money we paid ($5 per day).
Hotel was right downtown next to all the clubs/bars which was excellent. It also opened right onto the beach which was very convenient.
no chairs on the beach
fully equipped kitchen
