As a solo female traveler it was important to stay somewhere near the city safe with easy access to the main areas at a reasonable price. Many restaurants nearby. Staff was very helpful. Felt very safe. Every time I used the (supplied) hairdryer, the power broke down. (They offered to change over the hairdryer, but by then I was leaving). Airconditioning/cooling was very hard to adjust.

The location of this hotel is perfect, within a few metres of the Angel of Mexico City and a stones throw from the lively Zona Rosa. We were very happy with our great comfortable spacious room with a gorgeous view of the Angel! We were very pleased by the room and also of the enourmous buffet breakfast, which had continental bits but also mexican specialties! We made the reservation just a day before but the child's bed was already in when we checked in. Very nice clean and quiet little hotel with everything you need.

The hotel is excellently located. This was our second stay here and we would certainly try it again. No surprises, just friendly and helpful staff, clean and quiet suite(we love having our breakfast in our room, and at night enjoying a cup of hot chocolate as well!). It would be great if the beds were more comfortable....perhaps there could be an extra mattress added.

The rooms very very clean and the location was excellent. The beds were too hard. The staff were sometimes friendly and other times kind of distant. The young couple who came with me for a medical conference were given a room with 2 twin beds even though we had booked ours rooms weeks in advance.

I liked the size of the rooms, we had a big area with a kitchen & dining table area with a great view of the Angel monument from the window. The beds were comfortable and the shower was powerful. The take-away restaurant downstairs is really nice and they bring the food to your hotel room. The staff are friendly and the rooms are cleaned every day . Its in a safe area and there is lots of nice restaurants nearby. I stayed for 23 nights in this hotel and i would definately stay here again when i next visit mexico city. To improve the hotel i would suggest upgrading the tv's in the hotel because they are very old. invest in some flat screens. Secondly it was great that the internet was free in the hotel but the computers in the internet room are so old and slow and they only had 2 computers, they could probably deal with having half a dozen modern computers in there. The gym room could be so good only if the equipment was maintained. The running machines dont work & the barbell was broken. And the light bulbs in the gym were not changed so there was not much light in there, Seriously 1 days work in that gym to just give the equipment some attention and it will be a great little hotel gym. Also they should buy some gym mats to warm-up/down on. Finally the parking is too expensive, i think it was 125 pesos per day and if you go round the corner you can get parking for 25 pesos per day.

Cheap and clean Finally settled in 3rd room after first 2 rooms did not have electricity. Minimal investment and improvement could really make this a great budget hotel.

Location, Price, Had a lift. Staff were friendly The room was very stuffy. I suffer from asthma, and I found the room lacked any fresh air. My friend does not have asthma - and she felt the same way. Because of this I could ot wait to leave there. Sorry but I could not recommend San Marino.

Asking to borrow an electric adaptor for a couple of hours (euro- america) they ask me a fee. Ridicolous amount of money but not acceptable if you rent a room for few days.

The location is good. It's an okay neighborhood with lots of eating options. The bed and bedding were nice. The rooms smells of sewer gas. It's another one of those places where you can hardly open a windwow (there is one little thing to slide to get some fresh air.) And when you want to close the windows, they do not seal the street noise out. Some of the floors have tile hallways which amplify all of the noise.

Rooms had quite a nice standard and were clean. Location is very central in the Zona Rosa, the street next to it (Río Lerma) is full of lovely restaurants and bars. Overall a good experience. We booked 2 nights independently and 2 nights through booking.com. We did not only get a better price with booking.com but also complimentary bath robes and slippers. Not sure why we didn't get all that in the first room. Rooms were on the noisy side, of course this being df the noise level is really high anyway. Especially the room in the second floor was incredibly loud not only because of the busy traffic 24 hours a day but also because of the mariachis of the cantina next door which didn't stop singing until really late. Sound insulation of windows was almost inexistent.

San Marino Suites is very centrally located within Mexico city DF. At walking distance to many attractions like the National Museum of Archeology, Chapultepec Castle and Park, Paseo de Reforma, Zona Rosa. Also ideal location for foreign tourist who want to make use of the Turibus - hop on hop off tourist bus - which stops around the corner. Banking center, safe place to walk around. Only - they did not pass on phone messages to the room!

Staff was nice and helpful. The kitchenette is a great perk and free internet access. Good! That it didn't have a swimming pool, kind of old, and didn't have a small scrubbing towel (luff).
