Score from 253 reviews Very good
This hotel is in Cancún’s commercial district, a 10 minute drive from the airport. It offers a 24-hour snack bar, early breakfast and smart rooms with free Wi-Fi and satellite TV.
Score from 437 reviews Good
Good service on checking in. They did not have a front desk area which was kinda wierd. The beds were good and the room was nicely put together. The pool area overlooking the ocean was great and the bar service there excellent. Breakfast was the only meal I enjoyed.
The presentation and decor of the whole place was quite void of furniture and everything was looking quite worn. I didn't enjoy the food I ate other than breakfast. The satellite tv didn't work properly and I got one channel in english to watch that wasn't pixelated.
Infinity pool, great room
Terrible Wi-Fi not available in room. All of the hotels in the area are all inclusive so you'll end up eating the ordinary and expensive food. Cocktails were cheap but not good
Staff nice and friendly.
Very noisy. Rooms facing the lobby with music loud till midnight. Restaurants with poor quality food.
Our room was gorgeous. Chambermaid service excellent. Excellent check in experience. The beach kept very clean.
The restaurant is awful. Service is poor. Food is mediocre. Coffee is gross. Water is $4. US per bottle. Pool is broken. They add water to it everyday so it remains to cold to swim. The ocean is warm but often the surf is too high and Dangerous to swim
the pool, location generally clean
wifi never reached my room, so i had to go downstairs to use it. restaurant staff not friendly. wouldn't den spare some bread when i ordered room service.
Room, staff, clean, nice food, good prices,
music at night
The infinity pool.
Staff were excellent and the room was great
Could almost pick up wifi in the rooms but dropped in and out.
The hotel looks very bad. Pictures showing up for bookings lie We ran away after one day Recommend not to get this hotel Not worth even $ 70 per night
Beach, pool Internet works fairly well
Air conditioned not working Keys not working Dishonest staff There are no restaurants/pubs/clubs/shops in the area Building needs renovation
The beach is beautiful. The wait and bar staff very helpful. The front desk staff for the most part helpful. Good wifi. Champagne hour is great.
Loud at night with a wedding party the first night and I'm not sure what else the rest of the stay. One particularly rude English front desk employee, reaturaunts are so so. They claim to have 3 but there's really one and a lobby. Inconsistent. For the first 3 nights our room had no wash cloths or hand towels and the last night they appeared. Can't imagine doing an all inclusive here after staying at the Rui but you pay for what you get I guess.
The ocean view The breakfast buffet
Architecture designed by Narcos If you like red and purple lighting with walls covered with aluminum foiled
Being smaller than the mega-resorts closer to the shopping district I felt the Bel-Air offers a much more boutique experience. As a couple without children it was such a delight that there were no screaming children and the other guests were all respectful with everyone respecting each others space. The resort not being All-inclusive isn't a problem as the restaurants, pool bar and mini-bar are all priced reasonably.
It's quite a distance to the shopping precinct and the ATM at the resort was constantly broken so we kept running out of cash which is probably saying more about our ability to budget but as Aussies we're unused to tipping and kept forgetting to save enough for tips for tour guides etc.
Nicely located next to the ocean, with the pool (in case ocean is too wavy). Beautiful and light reception/lobby area. Also close to the airport
What a guest in the hotel needs to understand, it's just one of many more hotels on Cancun strip. We stayed there for the last few days of our trip in Mexico and mainly because of proximity to the airport. And we were just sleeping there and spending days at Islas close by. It had all the basics you need to have some sleep at night. However I can imagine if you plan to stay at the hotel for 1-2 weeks it might get a bit boring, as no entertainment. Sometimes you can hear at night if somebody is too loud in lobby area. It also could have more hangers for towels and more sockets.
Dislike that as we come out through our door, the people outside by the bar can see right in our room - no privacy for the high price room.. Wifi never worked well so over all that makes everything unhappy or poor in rating caz that is the most important thing that a hotel must have.
I did not like anything about this hotel everything was terrible
The location, the hotel, hygien, everything was a disaster I was very disappointed .It looked really nice in the pictures but I will never go back again it does not even worth 30 dollars a night very bad experience !!!
good value for money, helpful staff, location.
The hotel is perfectly suitable however it is a bit outdated. The pool has a nice view and the hotel is kept clean. They offer guests nice extras such as afternoon drinks and snacks. The check in staff were very nice and helpful.
The prices at the bar were extravagant and the service was poor. Twice they assumed a 35% tip rather than asking if we wanted change and they kept closing off the tab so they didn't have to hang around. We had a 6am flight so asked to pre-order a taxi, in the morning the staff on duty knew nothing about this and could not get in contact with any cabs for 30mins which was quite stressful. When the taxi finally arrived we had to pay $40usd for the 10 min ride as this was the pre arranged rate with the hotel. (The day prior we caught a 1hr taxi from playa del carmen to cancun for $55usd) Glad we only stayed one night!
We had a lovely time, hotel is excellent and staff is really nice and helpful... In a total worth.. Each penny spent is worth it... Will definitely recommend this place to other friends
Well I liked everything.
We made a reservation for 6 nights but we stayed only for 1. The only good thing was the food in the italian restaurant. Overprized for what it is.
The room was big but not clean. Old fashion tv and very old furniture nothing like the photos. We asked for lagoon view and we had it but also we had the view from the storage places of the hotel. The road was too close and we couldn't open the windows because there was a lot of noise. All night we couldn't sleep because of a terrible continously noise near our room maybe from the elevator. We waked up in the morning and all our things in the bathroom were wet because it was raining and the roof was leaking. The pool area was dirty and the sunbeds few in bad condition and also dirty. The same icon to the beach area. Some of the staff was helpful but some others looked like they didn't know what their doing.
