In the heart of the Chichen Itza Archaeological Park, this world-class jungle resort features extensive tropical gardens, 3 outdoor swimming pools, a hot tub and spa treatments.
Score from 571 reviews Excellent
This bungalow complex is a 5 minute drive from the Chichen Itza Ruins. It features 2 outdoor pools and is a 10 minute walk from Ik Kil Cenote, a sacred natural pool with waterfalls.
Score from 400 reviews Good
This eco-friendly resort is located within the Mayan city of Chichen Itza, just 300 metres from the site’s southeast entrance.

Situated in the village of Piste, within walking distance to the historical city of Chichen Itza, this hotel is surrounded by a lush tropical environment and offers friendly service along with...
Score from 338 reviews Very good
Incredible location, friendly staff, very nice breakfast buffet. The jungle setting is amazing and having a pool right outside our room was very sweet after a day at the ruins. Getting to the ruins early made a huge difference in beating the crowds.
Room service dinner was slow and food was not very good. No phone in room to order food. Sleeping under mosquito nets was tricky.
Great positioning for getting into the site early, and a lovely location. Little bit tricky if you haven't got a car to get to the evening light show, as you can only enter for that from the other entrance. Hotel not terribly helpful about that either, or regarding the tickets (which are currently free) as they are more interested in selling their planetarium experience. I was upgraded to a bungalow which was great, but unfortunately despite asking repeatedly, I couldn't get them to hang a hammock on the porch like there are on most (the clips were there, but no hammock). Sitting by the pool was lovely as it was so secluded.
Position. Access to chichen itza so we could be there before the queues
The resort was serene with a natural yet luxurious feel. The food was delicious.
The waiters were not very attentive. It took a very long time to place our orders and receive our food.
Everything is beautiful, the nature and close to the park entry.
Wifi is free but doesn't work very well.
location is excellent. Staff is friendly, well trained and their English is excellent. Restaurants give good value for money.
Great access to Chichen Itza. Bungalow was nicely styled. Staff friendly.
The double beds were very narrow.
location with direct access to ruins
Loved everything about the lodge! Couldn't find a fault anywhere! Would highly recommend staying here and be sure to get a massage!
Next to Chichen Itza with direct entrance. Hotel area very beautiful. Clean, cosy bungalow just next to swimming pool. A place to relax.
Hotel perfectly located near the site of chichen Itza In the jungle, with a beautiful wildlife Pool Perfect rooms Great gastronomy
The Proximity to the Chichen Itza Archeological site is unbeatable. You're literally right next door and only steps away. We stayed in the Mayan Bungalow which was absolutely beautiful, inside and out. Located near a nature trail, we would wake up to the sounds of birds. After a long hot day at Chichen Itza, it was so relaxing to come back to the hotel and take a dip in one of their three beautiful pools. You really can't beat this place if you're visiting the ruins. Great price, wonderful experience. We can't wait to return.
The staff were awesome. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet. I loved that the hotel has its own entrance to the ruins. We got in early and left as it was getting busy. When it's busy, it's annoying. I'll just say that.
This is a first world problem. They don't have wi-fi in the rooms. You have to go to the lobby. Which is a bit of a walk. I'm not complaining about this, just informing. I love this hotel and highly recommend.
The staff was attentive. We were traveling with a gluten free adult and the restaurant staff were very helpful. The huts were wonderful and beautiful . well kept grounds. So nice to have been able to walk to chichen nitza and the guides were wonderful.
We parked in the lower lot and there were no signs or people to guide us to the check in desk.
everything from the staff to the bungalows to the gardens to the hotel to the service to the welcome feeling to the location, absolutely the best - it was like paradise, really !!!
can't think of anything,
great place to be next to the ruins, lovely garden, nice and friendly staff
eating there was expensive - they charge you the Location...
Superb location, quiet and friendly atmosphere. Rooms are nice. You will enter the site of Cichen Itza in a completely different way than through the main entrance. Which we can recommand.
Restaurant staff little to pushy to please sometimes (for tips) but I can't realy blame them.
Wonderful oasis in the jungle, especially after a hot day touring the ruins. The staff was amazing, very friendly and accommodating.
My husband and I nick named the lodge 'rancho relaxo' the combination of the grounds, pools, hammock, spacious bungalow style rooms and so many beautiful birds singing in the background made for a perfect stay.
Only thing I was a bit annoyed with was the bed set up. They were extremely comfortable but we got two double beds instead of the king bed that was on the picture when I booked. It felt very odd to be sleeping in separate beds on our honeymoon.
location, dining room, garden
very thin walls
Location was excellent and grounds were peaceful and relaxing. Having a private entrance meant we could be one the first at the site which was fantastic.
Everything. The proximity to the ruins, the lovely grounds, lovely rooms, fine food, total atmosphere and superb staff. Unless you are a very tight budget it is the only place to stay.
Location is perfect, very convenient for visiting the ruins. Food is excellent! Grounds are beautiful.
Our bed had a serious sag on one side, where one person felt they might roll off. For a hotel of this price range, beds and bedding could be improved. AC seemed to be permanently set to 24 Celsius, and couldn't be lowered. That's a bit warm for gringos.
Nice peaceful location Chichen itza ruins on site Nice rooms Friendly , helpful staff Nice food
Constantly having to change up money for tips, would have preferred to tip waiter at the end of our stay rather than every meal but they constantly remind you. We’d have to change money at reception all the time, buy things in the shop etc just to have change which made it a bit stressful. 2 tiny bottles of complimentary water on arrival which were not replaced the next day. Water and drinks generally very expensive.
