The rooms are big and the views were beautiful. The property is a bit on the older side but it was very comfortable and the staff was delightful.

Set right on the beachfront, this resort offers outdoor pools and tennis courts. Rooms and suites offer free Wi-Fi and views of the Caribbean Sea and Nichupté Lagoon. Located in the Cancun Hotel Zone, the Royal Islander offers a free shuttle between several sister resorts. The private Royal Marina offers free boat hire and sailing classes on the lagoon. The elegant, air-conditioned rooms come with cable TV, a coffee maker and fridge. Suites also have a large terrace, full kitchen and lounge. Bathrooms include a hairdryer. All reservations include two complimentary tickets for the Cancun Mayan Museum. Transportation not included. International cuisine and seafood are served in the Cayo Largo restaurant, while Paco’s Tacos serves Tex-Mex dishes. There is also a pizza delivery service and grocery store.
