Score from 604 reviews Excellent
Excellent even though we stayed for only one night it was an amazing way to end our vacation. We will definitely be back again but for longer the next time. Beautiful!
The food was great at the bar near the pool !!
It was very clinical and impersonal. but that just my personal opinion.
Staff is very kind; The view from the room; Beds were very confortable; Clean toilets; Pool area is amazing for kids and you can borrow towels and snorkles; Beach area is very beautiful; Breakfast is great;
The convenience store is a bit overpriced for non-dollar users; The sea is agitated, but that's really not to blame the hotel. Just a heads up.
The facilities are perfect. Internet is good. You can spend on whole your holiday at this hotel. Private beach is awesome.
The staffs are just ask for tips all the time even they do nothing special. It was not fair and annoying.
Speedy checkin. Allowed to check in early and an hour later checking out. Very kind .
Lovely rooms with tasteful furniture and huge and comfortable double bed. Loved the balcony and having lots of space. Excellent food and fantastic service from friendly staff. We loved the location being so near to the beach and we swam with a pelican which was great. Great pool too.
One of the pull down beds was a bit hard but not a real problem.
Beach and the possibility to get a bed/parasol at the beach anytime in mid-October. Although weather report said showers and t-storms every day, it rained once for 20 min during the day and a couple of times during evening/night, of course a bit of luck needed not to have hurricanes. Nice spacious rooms, liked the chimichangas at Paco's Tacos.
Spacious rooms Price included ocean view
Facilities, room decor, lobby deco is very oldfashioned. Main entrace is hidden behind the back of a nice hotel- need to pass though a delivery area/garage of the next door hotel. Hotel full of senior crowd. Market inside hotel VERY overpriced
The view from huge balcony
Do not use the cash machine very upset it charged 21.00 to get dollars. Front desk said it was to be fixed took e mail address but never heard from them .
Wifi was very good quality Amenities such as pool were good
Quality of the food was not particularly good. Room was not ready and cleaned when I checked in which was a nuisance
The smell at lobby is awesome! you will have the same feeling if you live there! Cancun is very beautiful and everything there is perfect! Restaurant, room with large balcony are nice!
Staffs are friendly, but slow when they're working. location is a little far away from la Isla Shopping center. need to take a taxi to everywhere else.
Great location, asked for room with sea view, right on beach, ground floor with lawned area in front of terrace, leading onto beach. Spacious apartment with 2 pull down beds in lounge. Breakfast buffer style, plenty of choices, with freshly prepared eggs, pancakes etc
Accommodation a little tired. But only paying 113chf, couldn't really complain.
I loved the view of the room & the service of the staff
Some of the prices in the local store were excesive.
Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 11am, that's like a half day lost, but stolen by the management
Spacious room with comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. Easy access to beach & great sea view from room.
Noisy air-conditioner. Dirty swimming pool with dead cockroach floating on it. The hotel policy of holding a minimum sum of US $100 for each day of stay on top of the daily room charges. Stayed at a Royal Resort prior to my stay at Royal Islander and there was no such practice.
The hotel is ok. The beach is fantastic, the rooms and hotel are fairly clean, the food is good, the pool is ok.
There is absolutely nothing to do in the evening except sitting at the bar and drinking overpriced beverages.
Staff, suite room, view
Distance from town area
Royal Islander is located in the hotel zone. The beach is amazing and the pool area is fab. We stayed in a villa which is well equipped and comfortable.
The Royal Islander is not a hotel but rather a time-share resort and as such it is not managed as a hotel. This is not an issue if you're expectations are in line with the service you are going to receive. We specifically asked if we would be changing rooms at any point during our stay and were informed at check in that we would be in the one villa for the duration of our stay. The day before we were due to check out we were being harassed by housekeeping to come in and clean our room and upon further investigation were told that we were moving room and should already have packed up and left. When we tried to speak to the front desk and management team we were met with a stone wall...not even an apology for the lack of communication and the inconvenience caused.
beach front was beautiful amenities were plentiful
need to change room on Saturday
The view and location was good.
Restaurant quality of food and service. Hours open were short up stairs and drinks in the pool. But we worked around it.
Close to the beach , wet bar, decent size room, free wifi, happy hour from 3 to 6 pm
Check in process is horrible, customer service at the desk was horrible. To get towels is like giving your first born. Outdated hotel. Kinda expensive for what you get. Have to walk all the way down the hill to catch bus . No real options to eat at . And I didn't like the fact that they allow people to smoke in the pool. We had this obnoxious guy smoking cigars all the time
facilities are wonderful , very relaxing,
We loved how clean RI was & that is was situated right on the beach. It was also great to have access to their sister hotels & free use of their shuttle to & from those properties.
We didn't enjoy the changing rooms on Saturday thing. Our room the first half of the week was easily a star better then the room they moved us to the last half of the week. The staff is helpful during the process but it is quite a bother to move your world mid stream. It would also be nice if the swim up bar was open past 5 m. That is a very early time to close.
