The Royal Mayan    

I loved that I could use all 5 of the Royal Resorts, 2 situated right next door. I loved that the Resort organised Scuba Diving with transport etc... I loved my room with microwave, fridge etc.. I love the convenience store downstairs. i loved the way the maid cleaned my room so perfectly well. I loved the wild waves at the beach which was empty as all guests use the pool rather. I loved my room situated on 9th floor in the quietest part of the hotel, the list is endless

There was no decent wifi in my room or elsewhere. The Concierge service was not that helpful.

We paid for the Ocean view room but upon our arival the room was not available and we were downgraded to room with NO view - take it or leave it. Also the room next door was being painted so we had to endure the noise and the smell of the paint. The food was vwry ordinary.

not many young people restaurants close early and they do not provide room service

the location is great - close to the beach; apartment was big and nice decorated; our kids loved the pool; a small market in the hotel area is a good idea; beach towels too

Such a good hotel near airport

Didnt like that they didnt tell us about some $900 deposite until we got there and was checking in also the bathrooms in the suits needs renovating apart from that its a nice hotel

The beach and swimming pool

The staff were totally unhelpful, provided an invoice only 2 days after the payment when the were asked about it. The hotel has. Wierd policy that everyone changes a room on Saturday, this was unpleasant.

Very good location, nice restaurant with good and quality food. Rooms clean, spacious and with good view.

We reserve one night, two days and we have a different room every day and was very uncomfortable to change room from pne day to the other.

Closeness of the airport. Facilities in the room: coffee maker, microwave, utilities, fridge.

Had problems with my debit/credit card. The lady at the reception did not accept it. The balcony was way too tiny for a junior suite. Lobby was also very small. Tv was not a flat one as described when booking the room. Personnel was not very friendly. Could not help myself comparing the hotel to former Hilton where I stayed last time. Those two hotels are a light year from each other. Would not stay again in The Royal Mayan.

Nice big room, very good breakfast for 180 pesos, convenient store.

Small double bed, sea view from a ver small corner, only complimentary soap, no shampoo at all, squeaking sounds with the wind at night, very unfriendly receptionist, shuttle service from and to airport not arranged although we asked for it in our booking. It is not free anyway. We were looking for a shuttle at the airport at arrival for half an hour and ended up in a collectivo for 16$ per person, stopping everywhere.

I don't know it doesn't came with toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and slipper. I thought this is standard equipment that all hotel will provide even I got everything ready in Guadalajara's hotel. I need to change another unit for only two night stays which made me not comfortable. Room is small, no table, not much power socket. Maybe this is the cheapest room rate trade-off.

The hotel was just lovely, the fact that we were able to use Royal Caribbean and Royal Islands facilities was just great. Swimming pools were so clean, the staff is amazing. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. The private beach is very clean as well. Prices are a little above average.

We were guests at the Royal Mayan on a holiday day so there was no maid service on Monday, not really big deal. Restaurants close at 10pm so if you want something later you'd find nothing, however there's a little market inside the facilities but it also closes at 11pm.

The suite and the pool area

From the moment we got there we had people at our service 24/7. The facility was so clean you could have ate off the floors. Amazingly beautiful view and accomadtions. We thouroghly enjoyed the whole expierence!!! top notch place. Would DEFINATELY stay there again.

The only and I mean only thing, that could have been better was the food in the hotel resturant. We had some amazing meals at Harry's Grille on the strip. Other than that we had a blast!

No cash policy

In pictures looks nice but actually the only nice thing may be its easy access to the beach.

- Attitude of staff. - it is dark - i did not like the arrangement of A and B rooms to transform single rooms to suites.

I stayed at The Royal Mayan for 6 days with my husband and my daughter, we had a great time, It is a very nice resort, with a few pools, lovely beach, very quiet, and very clean, staff was very friendly. We had a huge unit, lovely kitchen fully equipt, huge balcony with nice patio furniture. This definitely was the nices and cleanest resort we have been in Cancun. The food, service and accomodation here was better then any of the all inclusive resorts we stayed. Free WI-FI, while other hotels & resorts charge up to $20.00 per day. Very nice and good supplied market with very reasnable prices was very handy if you like to make some food quickly for your self. We had a fantastic time and are considering going back very soon.

This was perfect place for short break of 6 days. There was nothing that we didn't like. We highly recomend Royal Mayan and would gladly stay here again.
