We are celebrated our honeymoon at the royal last week: From the first step into the hotel premises, the staff made us really feel like royalty. Karina upgraded us with no expense, to the presidential suite for one night, and it was an unbelievable gesture.
Our "normal" swim up suite was a presidential standard at any other resort, and conveys how luxurious this hotel is: facilities are top notch, and you can actually see how hard the staff is working here daily, as they watch the garden, fix tiny issues of paint, nothing is left untouched.
The high standard also translates to food. We had a wonderful dinner at the Chef's Plate (reservation is required) where every bite was legendary.
On other nights we dined at the Maria Maria, it is the most wanted resturant in the resort and for good reason - food is superb at every angle.
We ate great breakfasts at the El Mediterraneo with wide variety and welcoming staff . Lunch was so-so.
We took a shot at the Azul Spa, and it was hands down the best massage me and my wife ever had. period. Silvia and Lizzet did wonders with their magisterial hands, and it was a unforgettable experience - the highest standard I can expect from now on.
WiFi was great in our room with great speeds - one of the best I've experienced in the many hotels I've visited.
The beach was clean on the first 2 days, but later it became smelly with Seaweed. Can't blame the hotel for this, they try as hard as they can to clean it.
Final word about the staff: You will feel like King and Queen. At every corner you'll meet them, they will greet you with a smile, a gesture, a kind word. When the high standards is translated to each and every one of the staff, you have fulfilled the highest level of customer excellence.
My wife and I will never forget this royal vacation.
