Excellent service. Great Food. First class facility.
The service - everything, the housekeeping, bellmen, desk staff, concierge(s), waiters, etc. - all top-notch. We'll definitely be back for more.
Many different activities offered, cocktails were very varied and delicious, food variety was great and lots of opportunity to eat in partner restaurants for no extra charge.
By 8.00 in the morning, almost all chairs around the pool and on the beach are reserved by guests who lay down their beach towels - despite the fact that there are signs everywhere not to do it, they still do it. This rule should be enforced. It was also quite annoying to have to change rooms to accommodate timeshare guests.
Great beach, good room.
Not enough papallos, and first come, first served is an inconvenient policy that should be improved. Veranda restaurant often crowded, with wait lines. More on-site restaurants would be an improvement.
Bathroom was old
The rooms are clean, comfortable, big Love the lil balcony with ocean view. We booked A junior suite, at firsf i was a bit disappointed the were 2 double beds in the room, i thought i booked a king bed, which wasn't the case. The front desk manager stayed really nice with me and assured me this is what i booked, he was totally right! He was was even so nice to have housekeeping come up to the room to make one big bed of the doubles. Which was perfect. After reading the binder in the room i understood more about this place. It's part of a time-share and it is not a hotel. The food and drinks are really nice and there is a big variety you can choose from. The pool area and beach are magnificant. Wide pearl white beach, big pool, love the pool/ beach bar. This was our first all inclusive experience, and we liked it a lot. We started our honeymoon here and loved it so much we will be back towards the end of our honeymoon.
Noisey air con, noise when the lift arrived. Pushy concierge staff
Its near the shopping center, the reception is awesome, everything is near. Food is excellent, never waited for a table to be seated.
The rooms are old. Deco is poor. The pictures are already coloring out. The change room policy, seems unnecessary. Mini bar variety is too tight. There are lot of things available for an extra charge so it doesn't feel 100% all-inclusive.
FOOD !! is great. Every staffs are very nice they remember your name. Over all was a good exprerience.
We stayed at the second building so it was kind of long walk to the main pool area and restaurant. Room was not that clean very dusty. Bed was not comfortable. sport bar was not that clean it had a funny smell so we had to sit outside and that helped.
Good food choices Pleasant staff
maintenance service really slow during stay
Friendly staff, big pool with water aerobics classes, nice beach, very clean.
Surcharge on some food choices, limited selection of beer on AI plan, need to sign for every meal/drink.
Facilities, location, friendly staff !
Small selection of restaurants on site.
Almost everything wrong with this place
Terrible staff, awful facilities for the price. The complete experience was unpleasant. Would not recommend.
At the end of our three week holiday in Yucatan we spent three nights All Inclusive in the Royal Sands. It was a real treat. We only spent time on the large, gorgeous beach in front of the hotel and we went out for some runs on the beach and on the sidewalks. Food and drinks on the beach were tasty and served right at our beach beds. The hotel is beautiful. All Inclusive was very good. We were allowed to use it until 4 PM on the day of our departure. The room was big and had a kind of walk in closet. Airco worked fine. In the sports bar and the buffet restaurant it was a bit chilly. Every morning we had breakfast outside. A very nice start of the day. Breakfast buffet was plentiful. One evening we had dinner in the buffet restaurant and had nice wine and food. The second evening we had dinner in the Hacienda Sisal (included in AI). Great food and very friendly staff. The last evening we had dinner in El Conquistador (a 3 km southbound walk, plenty of buses as well). We saw it is the no 7 restaurant in Cancun and it was easy to book a table (included in AI). Dinner was great and plentiful. Staff very attentive. Wifi worked even on the beach. We read in reviews about high taxi transfer prices to the airport. We ordered a hotel from the concierge at the garden lobby and we paid 300 MXN. We thought this wasn’t too bad for the distance and location.
We saw signs that the hotel checks if beds near the pool and on the beach aren’t ‘reserved’, but we didn’t have the impression they really do this. It seemed to us that many beds were ‘reserved’ and nothing happened. Fortunately we had nice beds all the time, but we wonder what it’s like on a sunny day in high season.
Rooms are more like an apartment. Great.
We had to change rooms from Friday to Saturday There is no shuttle service from and to the airport
The staff were VERY friendly and helpful. There were 5 off site restaurants that were part of the all inclusive. There were 4 tennis courts.
This hotel had the second most tennis courts in Cancun yet there was no tennis program. No pro, no sessions and the coordination by the sports desk was nothing more than putting your name on a board.
Friendly staff, excellent food with lots of choices & enjoyed driving over to Playa Del Carmen to check out their sister property.
Arrival experience at FD didn't feel very welcoming and we began to question choosing this resort but it turned out to be a wonderful place!
Everything, particularly that we could 'Dine Around' in the other Royal hotels near by, taking the free shuttle or the low cost local buses. Most rooms have great views of the sea, by clever design/layout. We would recommend a high room in blocks M & N to have sun most of the day.
Difficult to find anything to dislike.
courtesy of staff, beach and pool area, food and drinks, very clean, big room with a nice view
Room was very nice. Beach area with umbrellas the best! Food ordered from menu (especially dinner) super good!
Asking about room number and room key when we ordered something to eat or drink even if we had to wear all inclusive brancelets.
Room was big and nice I liked bar at pool
Resort was so big that finding restaurant was little bit difficult even front desk gave me a resort map :D
- nice location - good food ( although only one restaurant inside the hotel, rest ib the city) - good all inclusive (quality of food and drinks) - great swimming pool
- for most restaurants you need to drive to the city
The location is good and the beach is perfect - amazing white sand & blue warm sea.The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good service on the beach as well. Swimming pool was nice. We were satisfied with food, the buffet was different every day. Was a wonderful holiday.
