After staying at the JW Marriott for 5 days we decided to stay a few days longer but they had no rooms, so we found the Westin at booking.com. Too bad it was not clear from the description that this is a timesharing facility, not a regular 5-star hotel. The service was far below par (long waiting times for luggage, cleaning staff calling our room phone at 8:50 AM to see if they can clean already, wifi not working on first afternoon and staff could (or would) not give us codes to get it working, trying to sell massages at the hotel pool etc.), especially compared to a real 5-star hotel. We even got a letter from the hotel trying to persuade us to go through a sales pitch... You constantly get the question if you are a owner (I assume they get discounts at food & drinks). You can only get one towel per person at the pool, I have never seen this before at a top hotel. I don't mind paying for top service, but the Westin Lagunamar makes me feel cheap. Although the facilities are great it was a mistake to stay here.
