Too expensive for the type of hotel. Flight attendants and pilots stay there and they make a lot of noise when they arrive at midnight. People that clean that rooms don't do a good job. Toilet does not get scrub and they don't change the sheets even if they get dirty.
Big room. Nice ocean view.
My travel days fell on spring break but this hotel was far enough away from the night-life and the party atmosphere that it was still very peaceful. Beautiful beach and water!
Don't like that you have to pay for wifi if you want it in your room. It's about $15 a day American for in room wifi. As much as you pay for the room it should be free.
We had the room with view of the lagoon. They were very clean rooms. Loved the separate shower.
The rooms were fairly comfortable but the looks of the hotel could use a little TLC - for instance, the carpeting in the hallways gave the impression the hotel was a little run down. The rooms are not well insulated from noise - we can hear the neighbours showering, talking, etc.
The staff is helpful, courteous and friendly.
The beach nearby has a lot of sea grass.
I was given 4 drinks and charged for 2 during their 2 for 1 happy hour. They did not exchange money but the ATM dispensed usd-- The room had exposed drywall and paint on the toilet paper. Very noisy starting at 6 am in hallway
The view and the quieter location
Location on the beach and lagoon is beautiful. Room was very large with large balcony overlooking the lagoon. Best beach area. would definitely stay there again and recommend the good value. Easy parking with a car.
We got ignored by the server and received subpar food at the beachside restaurant.
The room was nice and had a great ocean view. I love that you can walk right outside and lay on hammocks! The breakfast was great and servers at the breakfast bar were very attentive.
The restaurants food was mediocre at best. The wifi wasn't free and our minibar wasn't stocked when we paid for all inclusive.
the location and the beach.
Wish the WiFi was free
No kids Not loud Great beach Relaxing pool Nice buffets Simple and perfect for r&r
Long way from the centre but that did not matter as we hired a car
Facilities were good and staff were very friendly and helpful
Paid wifi $14 a day. It adds up by the time you checkout.
Very relaxing. No crazy "Spring breakers" during the time I went. Extremely nice and helpful staff.
We had a wonderful stay at the Westin Royal Beach Club and it helped make our holiday in Cancun very special and memorable. Firstly, the location is fantastic if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday on a beautiful beach. The waves just outside the Westin can get a bit rough sometimes but then we just took a short walk to the beach next door at the Club Med which was very calm as it is protected by a reef and is a great beach for little kids. We had a fantastic room on the ground floor with direct access to the beach which was a real treat and also helped with the kids who often want to go back and get something from the room. It was also a real treat to sit back and enjoy some cocktails and snacks while being able to relax and let the kids run around as the beach club area is small and intimate and therefore you always have the kids in your line of sight. The room was a good size, clean, well equipped and it had a great shower and good sized bath for the kids and there was a good selection of TV channels with some movies in English too. Lastly the staff were all very friendly and attentive and helped to make breakfast and happy hour a special experience. Breakfast had a great selection of fruit, pastries and warm dishes and we really enjoyed the snacks at happy hour where there was lots of guacamole, salsa as well as snacks of local cuisine and international fare. I would highly recommend this hotel for those wanting to enjoy a wonderful beach vacation with good food in a very relaxing and intimate atmosphere away from all the noise and bustle of a very large resort. Still, we could go enjoy a more lively atmosphere when we felt like it as we found it very easy to access the local shopping malls and marina via the local buses that come past all the hotels and had a wonderful lunch at the marina and also a great day trip to the Mayan Pyramids at Chichen Itza. To all the staff at the Royal Beach Club, thank you for making our vacation so special!
The lack of wifi. TV chanels are limited.
Loved Our oceanview balcony room. The location is perfect if you are looking for a relaxing vibe. Bus stop to go to town is conviently located.
Nothing was included in the rate (, not even breakfast ( 23 $).
A great big room, ground fl., with exit on the beach and swiming pool. Good food.
We had to pay to use the business center computers. I've travelled in many places but never saw any hotel charging me to use the computer
I had a fabulous time and would return in a heartbeat!
Everyone was extremely friendly and nice. The concierge was very helpful. The property was amazing, I definitely had to take advantage of the swim up bar!!
lots of confusion at check in, room not ready, staff apathetic. Policies regarding wifi and what is really included in an all inclusive took a few hrs to sort out. While some food and beverage are all inclusive, tipping is added and expected.
location is very nice, good beach
No hot tub, old Westin. Not the typical Westin I've stayed at in the past.
A bit expensive. Reservations staff would never confirm our reservation. At some point they even denied we had a reservation because we made it through this website. Finally everything was ok but it took 10 calls to fix it.
Nice hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The beach is quiet and the facilities are in good condition.
Nothing! If you are young and looking for late night partying/disco it's about a 20min bus ride away. That wasn't what I was looking for though
The staff was attentive and kind. The amenities were perfect and the views and beach even more breath taking than Hawaii. Best food I've ever had at a Westin and Much better than any all-inclusive!
We booked our honeymoon at this hotel and we did not have a nice check-in experience at the royal beach club. Your website markets the ROyal beach club as a more prestigious and exclusive area to check-in but when we checked the woman on duty was unfriendly and did not even know we were staying for our honeymoon even though when booking the accomodation we had put a note/request to advise we are honeymooners. The next few days we needed help at the concierge and the same lady was at the counter but was very unhelpful and unwilling. We would never return for a holiday ever again at the Westin.
- I asked for a bath robe and they brought it after my third call (almost 24h after my first call). - Everything is very expensive. 110 pesos for one Mishalada. They gave me 10 pesos discount though.
-The view from my delux room balcony to the sea was amazing and I really enjoyed it. Loved it!! - I loved the coffee I could prepare in my room. - The size of my room - The beef fajitas - The pool area and the beach for lazing around one day (which I did) - I liked the breakfast buffet
The hotel is not worth the money. We had a room with ocean view and large panaramic window but we were very disappointed when we found out a dirty window with no ability to open it. The hotel is in bad condition. There is a permanent smell of dampness in corridors.
