We had to leave :,-|
It's a really good place to be at Playa del Carmen. There's a bar when you can spend some time and meet people, great breakfast (with cereal and fruits) and it's really near from everything you need.
They don't accept credit or debit card. You can only pay with cash or paypal (with a fee for this transition). It's better if you can bring money.
the a/c works only at night from 10 pm till the morning
Very close to the 5th avenue, restaurants. There is a bus stop close to the hostel where you can take collective buses to Tulum and Cancun at each 5 minutes. The staff is absolutely amazing, they provide you everything you need and are really helpful. We had such a great time over there.
The towels were not good (old, blurried).
Location was awesome close to the Playa del Carmen night life. Staff was friendly and congenial. I had a good time. The current hostel crowd that was there was kind of clique but no problem for me.
From what I have seen from past comments and when I was at the hostel, the main tip is to book your bed in the 6-bed room!!! The room is big, has a balcony and individual lockers. The bathroom is inside the room as well. The noise in this room is not a huge issue. The wifi is good and the hostel has an excellent atmosphere!! Would certainly go back.
Activities every night/day including free tours!! Very close to the main strip and beaches. Staff are super friendly and interact with everyone more than what one would as expect as staff.
Great place with lovely people! We had a private room with an AC that took a while to cool the place down but worked in the end! We did have to stop bugs from getting in the room one night after a long storm but the hostel was on top of it, coming around several times to make sure they didn't come in the room (still freaked us out even though the bugs were harmless!) Fantastic activities every night that were cheap or free and everyone really got into it! Definitely reccomend. Good location just 2/3 blocks from the beach and 1 1/2 blocks from the main nightlife part of 5th avenue! WIFI was pretty bad - we could barely access it from our room (although i think that was just because of the room we were in) but was much better in the common area outside :)
Like the hipster feel and that they have daily activities
This hostel is very clique-based, it's kind of difficult to really make friends compared to other hostels I've stayed at for that reason. Perhaps it would be easier if the staff had more interactive activities that allowed people to get to know each other.
The environment How easy was to meet people The activities held by the hostel in which you could meet other people
Great vibe, always something on for guest to do ad be sociable! Would highly recommend :)
Staff very helpful, nice atmosphere and not too far from the beach
Wifi in the room was very bad but the signal was good in the common area
Simply put the best Hostel i ever slept in. Staff, wifi, location, warm water and the best people :)
Staff was fantastic!
The location is great The staff is friendly They do activities Cool young people Wi-Fi almost everywhere
The hostel is pretty simple, not fancy or anything. There's no pool or anything to do during the day in the hostel. In the rooms there is no Wi-Fi
Friendly staff, great location, and the apartment rooms were clean and very comfortable. Also great to be able to bring in food/drink and relax in the courtyard.
Booking.com claimed we would have free access to a Beach Club (Deliss) as part of our stay, and the hostel knew nothing of this. Was a let down.
most everything about the place.... especially the roof :)
wifi was bad - the weather prices were kinda high - I can get a motel room in sacrament for the same price as a bed in mexico? seems a little off.
I thought the staff was very nice and the yak creates social events so travellers can meet one another which was very successful. The yak is a very well run and maintained hostel. I would recommend it for sure.
The bunk beds were not the most comfortable and the wifi was spotty.
A great social area to meet other travellers and you can bring your own drinks in and relax.
Great atmosphere, awesome staff.
No wifi in room. Wifi login was a bit dodgy even when in the right area, it would drop out from time to time. No reason not to stay there though
Was the best hostel we stayed in while in Central America. Great staff, full of helpful information. Perfect location, in the middle of it all but not noisy. Very secure. Great activities and tours to do through the hostel. Best of all drinks and tours were so cheap! We wished we could have stayed longer.
Literally cannot fault this hostel, we loved it!
The staff, the atmosphere, the accommodations, very secure, great location.... I literally cannot find anything to complain about. I didn't want to leave.
